Ninta Keenfoot
Female Halfling Urban Druid

Appearance:

At first glance, there is no doubt Ninta is from the Shingles. Ninta is rather young , only 22, but her face is weathered from drug use/life on the streets and her hair is constantly a wild mess. Ninta's bare feet have more callouses and sores then some halflings three times her age. She wears hide armor, obviously reconstructed from many other older pieces and hand me downs, and her pants were at one points meant for humans now trimmed down. Just barely under 2 feet 4 inches, Ninta is a rather small halfling, but her smile is as big as they come.

Party Role:

As a Urban Druid, Ninta has the Community Domain. She will mainly give out boosts ("encourgement") to the other players (bless, bulls strength etc), with some healing as well. She also will have spells to interact with animals.

Background::

Ninta has lived in the shingle district her entire life. Born a rather small and weak female halfling, she was seen unfit for sailor or deckhand work and was abandoned by her parents. Ninta was left in the "streets" of the Shingles all alone. The small halfling fared well for herself the first couple years, but soon after her 11 birthday, Ninta became addicted to Shiver, a drug distilled from the venom of dream spiders.

Many citizens of the shingles fail to the curse of the toxic venom , but most not quite as bad as Ninta. She would spend her days and nights stealing from and manipulating the citizens of Korvosa, just to get her next fix. During these "fixes" Ninta would have strange dreams where she would talk to animals and could understand their feelings. After many years of being a "slave" to Shiver, Ninta met an old dwarf named Dixrant. A follower of Erastill, the dwarf helped young drug addicts get off the street and get their lifes together. Ninta didn't quite adapt at first and it took poor determined Dixrant many attempts to finally steer Ninta of her old ways and show her a new life with Erastil.

Ninta never really accepted the new god, but learned alot about the values of community and family that the god taught, and took much of that with her. During that time, she discovered what she only could explain as "a gift" given to her from all her years of drug abuse, the ability to communicate with animals. When Dixrant felt the time was right, he suggested Ninta join the rest of the world, and asked the halfling if she would like to join him in his quest to save many other drug fueled teens. Like many of Dixrants, fellow "pupils" , Ninta was more the estactic to help.

Ninta enjoyed the work at first but soon got tired of the recurring situation and wanted to get to the bottom of it. Everybody knew Gaedren was the one who ultimately supplied the shiver, but nobody, not the even the city guards, seemed to do anything about it. With Dixrants hesitant permission, Ninta set out on the town to find out how to really take care of this "shiver problem".
