Born on a farm outside of Magnimar, Nimar grew up with hard work and daily chores. Being a precocious youth, Nimar learned quickly that his lack of strength but agile body would never allow him to be much good as a farmhand. When he reached ten years old, he convinced his parents to allow him to move to the big city to help his uncle, a book merchant. In the city, Nimar learned quickly how to get into trouble when he was initiated into a small-time pick-pocket gang. When his crew ran afoul of the local Thieves’ Guild, Nimar learned how to fight and launch an ambush.
When a carnival came to the city, Nimar became friends with the Varisian diviner who told fortunes. The old oracle saw Nimar’s intelligence and talent and sent him to a bard college. While there he met a young half-elf woman whom he truly grew to love. Young love would prove to be short-lived, but intense. While he will always hold a place for the girl in his heart, she has moved on and married. He instead became a bit of a lothario, though he would never admit to being a womanizer.
Nimar ultimately decided that the academy training was useful, though not for him. He eventually signed on with a Pathfinder expedition. Then another. Then a third. He was given an opportunity to apprentice with the Society, Nimar instead struck out on his own.
