Plus we also seek to preserve knowledge, just like what you Sapphire Sages were doing. And sure, sometime we hoard artifacts but usually those that are dangerous to be in the wild until they can be regarded as safe. But, if we were to find something that the Jewelled Sages can use - well I guess Amenopheus would be apprised of that in short order.
