Lifestyle: Nigel's lifestyle is that of the young, idle rich. Parties all night, anything he wants, and no consequences for his actions. Though partying as much as possible on other people's dime, he does throw small, well-catered events at his penthouse. He does have a singular passion, however: collecting rare and, generally, illegal guns.
Goals/Motivations: All of Nigel's goals are short term: attending this party, getting that girl in bed, buying that new gun. To that end, he tries charm first, then bribery, and finally intimidation if all else fails. He has a fairly extensive knowledge of the movers and shakers in regional, local, and national government, including a few juicy secrets as leverage to get his way.
Traits: Money and acquiring new, rare, or completely illegal guns are all that motivates Nigel. There are few people he wouldn't sell down the river if it became convenient. History
Nigel Xavier Lawson was born to one of the most corrupt men in America, Riley P. Bechtel, and his favorite mistress, Sophie Lawson. From birth, Nigel has been hidden from the public eye to an extent that would make any celebrity envious. His every need was met and both he and his mother wanted for nothing, so long as they kept their heads down.
When Nigel turned 12, things changed. On his first hunting trip into the wilds of Oregon, Nigel got to fire his first rifle. It turned out that Nigel was a natural with a firearm, and the power he held in his hands quickly became addictive. By the time he was 15, Nigel had amassed a substantial collection of handguns and hunting rifles. While he dreamed of some day owning a fully automatic gun, both his father and mother forbade him, telling him that he was too young and inexperienced to own such a dangerous weapon. Every month or two, Nigel would try some other angle to get his father to give in, but Riley was adamant and shot down every request.
At 18, Nigel moved out of his mother's townhouse and enrolled at Harvard. His new-found freedom translated into nightly parties and several pregnancy scares, though Nigel never stopped chasing the beautiful women he found himself surrounded by. Despite rarely attending class and never passing an exam, Nigel graduated with an MBA at the age of 22.
As a reward, his father has installed Nigel in a quiet upper-management position with no responsibilities other than never being at the office. He also gave Nigel a modest penthouse on the bay to ensure he was out of the way. Nigel embraced his independence by hiring several very discrete contractors to make a few modifications to his residence.
First, the office walls were thickened by 5 inches and hidden compartments installed behind the built-in bookshelves. The compartments are designed to hold anything from an anti-material rifle down to a series of handguns. The latches are tied into the house's automation system and are accessible only via Nigel's fingerprint.
