Niall Thrulfson began his career as a simple hunter making ends meet. When bandits and various other small rebel factions rose up, he joined the military to do his part. After a relatively successful career, Niall became obsessed with hunting rare game from Magical Beasts to more monstrous foes like the Blackhorns of Cyre Pass. Before long, he became well-known within Astengard as a Monster Slayer. After a particular vicious hunt of the werewolf Nightfang, Niall turned to worship of Pulura after a healer saved him from the precipice of death. The current pinnacle of his record being the adult black dragon Nytheria who savaged the frontier lands for months. Now recalled to the Astengard 39th battalion to hunt down the vile frost giant Jorl and rescue the kidnapped people of a frontier outpost. A deeply spiritual man, Niall is connected to nature in ways most cannot understand. He slips unseen to his prey and dispatches with brutal efficiency before utilizing as much as possible from the hunted's corpse as possible in quiet reverence to the natural world and his Lady.
