all right, survival check people to find the camp

Survival check to find the Giant camp in the hills.

1d20 + 17 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 17 + 4 + 2 = 31

Aid another from Secca 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Male Human Ranger 12

Nial and Secca will accompany them, but is not about to try to negotiate with murdering giants. He will only use the visit to get his bearings around Thug's camp and to help the others escaping when things turn wrong.

*chuckles* "Indeed. It seems to me that stealing from the giants at the same time we are trying to convince them to change sides may be unwise. If we are making a serious offer for them to convert, let us make the offer seriously. If not, then make your attempts at manipulation without me, and I will stand by to rescue you when it goes wrong"

"If it what both of you think, I will not go in the camp. We'll think of new options if your convincing attempt fails."

"Good, as I see it, we can get both plans together. We can all go together see Thug and his hill giants and Dhurnin and Lur can try to convince them to defect to our side or at least start infighting.

In the mean time, I will enter the camp and observe and steal weapons or tribe markings.
If you do no succed in convincing him, then I propose we ambush one of the giants and kill it, using Gungrum Giants' weapons to force an open war between them and maybe others.

Then we can repeat the same with Gungrum and his giants.
What do you say ?"

Very well, if anyone wants to come with Dhurnin and Lur we'll be going to see Thug and his hill giants. We'll be going to try and talk to Thug and see if he can be talked into seizing hostilities with Gungrum. Just Dhurnin and Lur will be going the rest of my tribe will stay with the heaven hawks to help around the camp with their skills.

"This plan is even more dangerous than mine. They will not let you live, you will never come close enough to talk to their chiefs. I think Brup is right when he says we need to extend the internal strife. Do we know which clan the two we just killed come from ? Maybe we could use their weapons or clan markings to suggest they killed one of Thug or Gungrum.

But if you persist in going there, we will come with you and use the occasion to steal some of their weapons and clan symbols."

"Well if this land is to be me clans new home, then we'll join the fight. I'm no talker though, I perfer my axe to speak for me. If you need help againest the raids I will stand with you." Dhurnin says with a grunt.

"This is not enough. If we only react, we will lose. We need to carry the fight to them one way or another. My first idea would be to try to mount the giants one upon another. For that we need to raid Thug and Gungrum tribe to kill one of each tribe leaving tracks making it look like the other tribe killed them. For that we will need the help of some of your tribe giants, Ulfen"

"The Saber Fang tribe is but a small tribe after the Giants killed or captured most of us. My father and my four brothers already sacrificed themselves to protect the last children. But we will fight and give you all the help we can."

The young man looks to his right and seems to draw strength from the woman at his side.

"We will not win in a frontal fight but must divide, and trap. Do you know of any weaknesses we could use? Will some of the giant chiefs fight each other while their boss is away ?

The tall archer lowers his bow and walks forward to the group of people targeted by the giants. The small red haired woman at his side still scans the sky in case the rocs may come back.

Halting a few meters before the group, he removes the saber fang tiger pelt that covers his head and shoulders and raises his free hand, palm open.
"I am Nial, Hunter of the Saber Fangs Tribe. I have been summoned for a parley by Ulfen of the Heaven Hawks. Can the Saber Fangs Tribe settle in the Heaven Hawks territory during that parley ?

ok well both giants are grappled now, also they are both armed with axes and chain mail, so start of the next round

Nial will still target the giant grappled by Frostrunner as stated in my previous post. Secca cast her slow spell as stated.

Male Human Ranger 12

When the first Giant is thrown out of its mount by a massive bein in scale armor, Nial turns to the second one attacking a larger group of people and well balanced on the uneven ground fires a full volley of arrows into it.

Full attack with deadly aim, many shots and rapid shot:
1st attack 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (4) + 19 = 23, damage 1d8 + 15 + 2d6 ⇒ (8) + 15 + (4, 3) = 30 + damage 1d8 + 15 + 2d6 ⇒ (5) + 15 + (1, 4) = 25

2nd attack 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (13) + 19 = 32, damage 1d8 + 15 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + 15 + (3, 6) = 27

3rd attack 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15, damage 1d8 + 15 + 2d6 ⇒ (8) + 15 + (2, 1) = 26

4th attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23, damage 1d8 + 15 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + 15 + (3, 2) = 23

Two steps behind him, Secca casts slow (Will DC 18) on the same giant and his roc.

Edit if the Giant AC is 23 or less, it's 105 damage, if it's higher, only 27

The raven had found the refounded Saber Fangs camped in the southern part of the plains. In this small vale, Nial and Secca were busy training the liberated members of the tribe how to carry the fight to the giants and escape their wrath.
The decision had been easy as the whole tribe was eager to free themselves of the Giants shadow and the gathering of tribes would offer them a good chance they would never have alone.
Setting for a fast pace following the raven, the tribe had just reached the Heaven Hawks encampement in the souuthern hills when the mamoth came crashing down.

Nial ordered his tribe to seek cover under Hilun directions while he and Secca were running towards the crash site.

Initiative Niall 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Initiative Secca 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

As the Frostgiants and their Rocs sweep down to attack, two humans run to the meeting site and take a quick look to assess the situation. The first one is tall and dark haired and runs with a well trained hunter gait and carries a carved ivory longbow. The second one is a small and lithe redhead armed with a longspear she sets in the ground as her strong voice chants a slow and compelling incantation.

i'll move the plot foward tomorrow, i guess we've waited for Nail long enough

Sorry about that. I had posted that I would be on holidays for a week wothout internet access. I'm back now and ready to enter the game. i've posted on the discussion thread about the finishing point to the character.

Male Human Ranger 12

Hi again.

Ulgulanoth, I'm back from holidays as I had told you in my first post. The character, cohort and tribe is ready to go.
I've made one main change after looking at the other players characters and cohorts and changed my cohort to a celestial bloodline sorcerer without changing the character and tribe background.

I'm ready to go whenever you want to introduce me in the story.

Llaelian here. Here is my character. I sill need to finish equipment and to flesh out my cohort a cleric of Sarenrae.
