About Neville Jaldeepair

Originally from a remote area to the North of the Nex wastelands, Neville grew up fascinated by all the strange remnants of ancient civilization that surrounded the small community the Vanarans had established there. As he explored, he inevitably encountered Giants who roamed and raided throughout that territory, and learned a variety of tricks to avoid them and deal with them, as necessary...but his early successes made him overconfident. He was captured by a Giant and held captive in his home for half a year, acting as the creature's servant and entertainment. In his desperation to escape, he discovered he was able to shrink himself down to half his normal size, and used that ability to slip his bonds and the Giant's enslavement.

Even after that experience, however, other than an aging swordmaster who taught him to use a Rapier, he found nowhere near enough to keep his insatiable curiosity occupied in the tiny settlement his forebearers had wrought from the wilderness, and on reaching the Vanaran age of majority, he set out to find his place in the world, eventually drifting into Absalom and discovering the Pathfinders; an organization that seemed tailor-made to sate his wanderlust and desire to learn about both new and ancient oddities of Golarion.
