Bit of luck on Kobad, so Kobad can roll twice for any d20 roll and take the better result until Nelossë's next turn.

For preference, I'd destroy the hut as well, and any other signs we can find of the Irriseni witches. The craftsmanship may be good, but this false winter will kill the people of this land."

"The witches need not be in the huts for them to be effective. The huts themselves are guardians of the borders of Irrisen, and they are controlled by these dolls. The witches can see through the eyes of the dolls, it is said. Perhaps through this," she says, holding up the mirror. "I believe the gem to be the child that we saw before. It feels the same. So sad."

In this case, the manifestation was the wind storm and the visions in the ice, and the little girl. But I think we should continue on to investigate that hut. I have a bad feeling about what we might find there."

Nelossë stops for a moment. "The child, whatever she may be, is frightened. It may be that she has information that we may learn to help us going forward. I'll be careful. Trust me on this one."

Nelossë follows behind the ghostly child slowly. "Where is your mother, Thora? We want to return you to her."

As she moves past Droguk, Nelossë speaks softly. "Look closely. The child had no snow on her at all, and left no prints as she passed. I don't know that she is truly here at all." As Nelossë tries to puzzle out the nature of the child, she moves closer and tries talking to her. "Do not be frightened, my child. We wish to help you."

Nelossë considers the chunks of ice. "Is this some kind of natural formation? A defensive structure? It resembles nothing I've seen before." She takes a few steps ahead of the group so she can get a better look at the formation and perhaps divine its purpose.

"Is a child to be held guilty for the sins of the parents? Yes, I do not deny that frost firs are, in the vast majority, evil. You would know better than I. But it is possible that, given the correct circumstances of raising, they can be taught to be something other than evil. I'm proposing that I take the seeds from this place, and hold onto them until such time as I can plant them and raise them in a temple to be good. I'm not proposing to raise them here and now, but there and then."

Nelossë gestures. "Perhaps it may be worthwhile to investigate the structure yonder."
