background:

Your clan hails from the Five Kings mountain range along the northern border of Andoran. Your hill dwarf clan and its halls were wiped out by a cave giant raiding party while you were but a youngling and you have spent the larger part of your life as one of their slaves; time and again narrowly avoiding the stewpot only by demonstrating your knack for finding things of value in the cold dark depths.

Recently freed by an adventuring party that was hired to exterminate the giants after they conducted one raid too many, you found yourself out of place with the dwarves of the mountains, their cold stone halls no longer providing you any solace.

You have made your way south into Andoran, intrigued by their concept of governance and appreciating their complete rejection of slavery. You even hope to one day be able to join the ranks of the Steel Falcons and see more of the world while being able to actively work towards freeing others currently held in bondage.

Working as a guard for a logging caravan your contract has ended, and you find yourself exploring the small town of Belric.
