Seeing the witch attack his fellow teammate, Nathan rushes forward and without quite knowing why, he thrusts a closed fist towards the Enchantress. Suddenly, reddish-orange light forms a glowing aura around him and accompanied with a tremendous increase in the sulfurous smell in the air, the light swirls down his extended arm and erupts from his fist, changing into a bolt of unearthly flame streaking toward his target. Soaring past the army of dimensional duplicates and past the running martial artist, it unerringly heads towards the Enchantress; moments before impact it suddenly splinters into countless, miniature tongues of brilliant flame, heading straight for the woman clad in green and black.

Specific Actions Taken:

  • Athletics check for running: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
  • Moving 30 feet forward, towards the fight
  • Attacking Enchantress with Hellfire Blast: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28 (-2 penalty to hit due to Medium Range, +5 to hit due to Accurate Attack Advantage) DC 18/20/23 Toughness (Rank 8 as base damage, attacking single target with Multiattack extra )

Looking down at his fist, still extended and clenched, and then back up at the fight, Nathan's eyes grow wide and he simply says, "Woah."

Hearing a noise that sounds like Bert talking, Nathan raises an eyebrow and quickly jogs around the bend just in time to see him take a swipe at a woman dressed up like an actual witch. With a whispered "Huh, no time for introductions I suppose," a faint aroma of brimstone fills his immediate vicinity. The spectacle ahead of him forgotten as he smells the sulfurous scent, he looks around to find its source, but sees nothing obvious and so he turns back to the trio in front of him and watches.

Moving forward 30 feet, presumably can now see the edges of the fight. Also activating the Infernal Protection power, at the max level, so Nathan currently has Toughness 11, 9 of which is Impervious (Damage of 5 or less is automatically ignored).

Bert stays in the bed, "swamps smell like a dogs ass and they are wet. There is no way I am going into a damn swamp."

Getting up and heading to the door, Nathan turns to Bert and comments as he is leaving, "Awww, what's the matter? Kitty afraid of the swamp?" he says in a joking, sing-song manner.

Looking up when Trevor entered the room, Nathan listens as he explains Project Fallback to everybody. Raising an eyebrow at the explanation of Waller's past, Nathan looks up and responds, "Well, talk about moving fast. We've been awake for what? An hour? And you already want us to pick a city? Personally, I'd like to learn what the capabilities of everyone is. I mean, I know that we have a guy that can duplicate himself, a gal with some sort of mechanized armor and the ability to talk to computers, a blind guy with a sort of martial art-y look about him, an amateur crimefighter, and a giant anthropomorphic feline. And myself, who still has no clue what he can do. Now, I can't speak for everyone else, but I think it would be great if I knew what I was capable of before putting myself in possibly dire situations. So, surely you have some sort of training facility or gym or something, right?"

Hearing everyone else choose a name, Nathan walks over to the side of one of the beds. "I guess I need a name too; but what? I don't even know what I can do yet, except being this Homo Magi instead of human; how can I come up with a name?"

With a focused look on his face, he begins to chant psuedo-Latin words and move his arms around in a vaguely mystical manner, but it was to no avail; nothing happened. Sighing, he sits on the bed and begins to try and think about how he might be able to use his powers, as they aren't going to be easily manifested.

"Special? So I'm not even Human, I'm this 'Homo Magi'? Alrighty then..."

Seeing the cat person getting into some sort of "threatening" posture, Nathan walks over and casually drapes his arm over Bert's shoulders and pats him on his back before turning to Ms. Waller and a slightly mischievous grin crosses his face. "I don't suppose you have any catnip for our feline friend, do you? Surely that'll help calm him down some."

Hearing the voice of a very terse woman, Nathan slowly begins to wake up. Opening his eyes and looking over to the rest of the room, he sees ten copies of a single man and he immediately closes his eyes again with a quick groan.

He begins to roll off of the bed and onto his feat before he opens his eyes again to see what awaits him. Once again he sees an entire group of a single man, now high-fiving one another, he mutters, "Well, I guess I'm not seeing... What's the word for "times ten"? I dunno."
Rising all the way to his feet he sees a cat-person currently being stopped by a very severe-looking woman and suddenly he realizes what the woman's voice had said while he was still asleep, and suddenly he is wide awake.
"Wait, what!?! The Justice League is gone?!? Where did they go? No, nevermind, I'm sure you don't know and that's why we are awake. Wait, what was the about superpowers? You're saying that I have superpowers? Neat..."
Stretching as he leaves his bed, he takes the sight of the room and all of the people within it, letting all see his dark red eyes that seem to have little or no pupil. "I don't suppose you have something to drink, I'm quite parched," he asks of the three people that are clearly in charge.

Nathan is very light on the fluff at the moment, but the Alias has got all of the crunchy bits up there.

Basic concept is he is that he occasionally hung around with the "wrong" crowds when younger (think along the lines of how DnD was sometimes viewed in the '80s), but all in all was a good kid. Dabbled in a touch of "satanism" and "demon-worship" (a.k.a. sat around in a poorly light room with a few friends, all wearing black, smoking, listening to heavy metal and playing with a Ouija board or reading from the Necronomicon). He passed high school and then took a few years off of school, but eventually got his act together. He's been attending community college now, trying to get a degree to do something, not sure what yet, maybe writing, but then he has a big blank spot in his memory.
He wakes up from it and now he is able summon up great gouts of hellish flames that he can manipulate to do all manner of things without even trying. And when he tries, he can open portals to locations hundreds of miles away or summon up things that willingly do his bidding.

To say the least, he's not quite sure what's happening to him...
