About Natani Copperlock

Appearance:
2'11, 28lbs

Nate has chin-length medium brown hair, deep green eyes, and a round face that often carries a playful smile. She has a slender figure and unusually long fingers.

Outfit:
She wears a what appears to be simple traveler's outfit over a finely crafted mithral chain shirt. When she is not trying to keep a low profile, she keeps the top of the shirt undone to show off the value of her armor. Her outfit is acually a pickpocket's outfit, and she keeps her coin and lockpicks in its hidden pouches. She also keeps several hidden wandermeals. She hides a pair of spring-loaded wrist sheathes under her armor, with a spare shortsword and a dagger at the ready.

A fine rapier and a magical shortword are sheathed at her belt.

She also wears a well-crafted backpack with some basic adventuring gear in it.

Backstory/Personality:

Nate had a rough childhood, growing up poor on the streets of Detmer, in Druma. Living in Druma instilled in her both the idea that wealth is the key to worth, and a deep resentment for those who use their wealth to lord over others.

Nate joined the Pathfinder Society as a way to prove herself. She has decided that Pathfinders rank themselves by skill, and so she takes every opportunity to show off her nimble moves and brags about her finishing blows. She apologizes when her swords miss.

She joined the Qadiran faction because she believes that they are practical because they are the ones who understand that the world revolves around money.

She does not understand herself well enough to know her own motives. If you asked her, she would say that she joined the Pathfinder Society because it is fun, and Qadira because they pay her.

Partially because she does not recognize her own doubts, Nate carries herself confidently. She has a silver tongue and is almost as adept at weaving lies as truths. Even when she apologizes for missing, she does it with a shrug.

She is almost as bad at sensing the motives of other people than she is at sensing her own. She tends to take what people say at face value, unless it contradicts with her own experience. She will almost always believe a friend, and will believe a stranger unless a friend tells her the stranger is lying.

Opinions on the Other Factions:

Andoran: The Andorans are a bit crazy in their zeal, but they are good people, and she agrees with their cause.

Taldor: The Taldorans remind Nate of the pompous upper class people of Druma who used to lord over her. She deals with them because she must.

Cheliax: Nate hasn't had much experience with Cheliaxians, but from what she has seen, they preach about Asmodeus too much, which is a bit creepy and annoying, but other than that they are trustworthy and useful in a fight.

Osirion: Nate doesn't really know what Osirion is up to. She knows they like ancient lore. She once saw an Osirian walk up to a person in a crowd and stab him, but she figures he had a good reason.

Other Factions: Nate hasn't seen enough of the other factions to know that they exist.

Her Friends:

Karnath "The Destroyer": Karnath is a giant Mwangi man who is a member of the Andoran faction. Karnath's imposing presence and mighty greatsword blows intimidate many people, Nate knows he is only a danger to those who oppose freedom, so she not afraid of him at all. She likes to gives him a hard time by using the word "slavery" as often as possible. However, she agrees in general with what he does to help free slaves, and will help him as long as it doesn't interefere with her own missions or put her life at risk.

Lasair Alant: Lasair is a slender woman from Irisen with white hair and purple eyes. She is also a member of the Qadiran faction.
Nate is easily distracted, so she trusts Lasair to keep track of what they are supposed to be doing for the Society and for their faction.
She has learned that Lasair is an excellent judge of people, and will trust her intuition more than anyone else's. Lasair can even sometimes talk Nate out of unwise decisions. Still, Nate sometimes teases Lasair, particularly when the cleric gets grossed out by something ugly.

Zansetsuken: Zan is a gnome sorcerer who is also a member of the Qadiran faction. He is a bit of an enigma to Nate, as he pretty much only talks about the missions. She figures he has a reason to keep his past to himself, and since she prefers to focus on the present anyway, she doesn't pry. She thinks that the Shadow Lodge may have something to do with his past, since he knows a lot of members of the Shadow Lodge.
Regardless, she is sure that Zan is a loyal Pathfinder.
