If the dwarf is to take a penalty to dex, give it a bonus to disable device. I don't want to see the dwarven thiefcatcher/trapfinder build using rogue as the base class to be hurt.

Russ, have you heard? The comic is Free!

Anyway,

a lot of good stuff

Most of that is the reason I started this thread. Yes, I am annoyed that the book is two months late and that both update schedules on Giant in the Playground are in shambles, but I am more afraid that we are seeing the beginning of the end for the site. It can only go on for so long without collapse.

I received my copy from Ape two weeks ago. The book was originally delayed because it had to be reprinted: the printer did not print the color pages.

I know the claim on the initial cause of the delay. Since that happened, we have been kept in the dark while deadline after deadline goes by. Paizo has also been kept in the dark about this product. People who shelled out the premium price for Ape Games did get the book substantially earlier than everyone else, which I guess you could say was fair.

How nice that you guys all point out that it is a "free" comic. It is just a free as a McDonald's commercial. The free comic exists to sell merchandise.

I bring up Erfworld because the current state of Giant in the Playground is hurting Erfworld. Another quality comic is being hurt because Mr. Burlew isn't able to post it when he receives it. If this is such a problem, it could easily be fixed by allowing the creators of Erfworld to update their comic themselves.

I really hope Mr. Burlew's health improves. I hope Giant in the Playground provides us with good comics and gaming products for a long time. I'm afraid if things don't change, OotS won't be around much longer, and Erfworld will find another host site.

In case any of you don't know, Giant in the Playground is the site owned by Rich Berlew which hosts his comic, Order of the Stick, and another comic, Erfworld.

Recently, it seems the quality of the site is going down hill rapidly. Order of the Stick never updates anywhere close to on time anymore, and now some updates are being skipped all together. Erfworld also always updates late, seemingly because Berlew controls when it is actually posted, and often fails to notice when he has received the new comics. Finally, the new OotS book, Start of Darkness is now two months late for anyone who didn't order it with ridiculous shipping costs from his pet distributor, Ape Games.

On the Giant in the Playground message boards, all talk of these facts is quickly removed (which is certainly their right, no reason to have negative propaganda on their company web site). I am posting this here because I know many fans of OotS are are paizo customers as well, and I was hoping to get some reasonable discussion of the situation.
