I'm afraid that some health issues that looked like they were minor last week spiked up badly enough that it has required some hospital time towards the end of last week. Right now, I'm not totally sure where things stand in that regard, whether I am going to be back on my feet in a relatively short time or if I'm mostly going to be out of comission for a while.
Unfortunately, either way it means I will probably be off the boards for a few weeks at least or maybe longer. There is nothing life threatening for folks to be worried about, but I'm all drugged up while I'm dealing with this and it makes it really hard to put together coherant thoughts(this post has already taken forever to try and make myself focus to get through it).
I've really enjoyed all my PbPs and hopefully you all understand my disapearance and accept my apology.
I know we are waiting for Cordal, but I am going to post my action now so we can keep things progressing once he does.
Narmin hops out of the speeder as soon as it lands, taking cover behind its corner and firing out towards the nearest stormtrooper with his carbine.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 Attack
3d8 + 2 ⇒ (3, 7, 4) + 2 = 16 Damage
Assuming close range. -1 on attack and damage if not.
Thank you kindly.
Also, I know its been a few days for everyone, so don't forget your +1 on attacks as long as you stay in sight of my character.
Oh oh! You forgot me! I think I'm between Cordal and Corine.
Good luck on the applications.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 Initiative
Not seeing any obvious droids, Narmin will draw a blaster pistol and bring one of his frag grenades into his free hand. He looks to the others, trying to spot some good cover and plan things out. "Good, Jedi you handle the force users as best you can. We will ensure the troopers cannot overwhelm you and then we will be aiding you, hopefully with the rest of the jedi at our backs."
Can I activate my born leader talent as we go to land? It lasts the length of the encounter and gives a +1 insight bonus to attack rolls as long as you keep line of sight to me.
Narmin quickly moves to unload his more militaristic gear from his pack, sliding his grenades onto his belt and checking his weapons. "Is the message coming from the base or elsewhere? Any idea what sort of terrain we might be dealing with?"
Narmin nods his head as he listens to the others. "Indeed, let us have our briefing and discover what is already known and then gather as much information as we can. Recon and a proper tactical appraisal will give us the greatest odds of success with the least loss."
"Master Jedi, where is this treaty to be signed? If the pirates are trying to disrupt it, perhaps we could use that information to get a better idea of where their base is. If they are going to try and bring in a star destroyer then I doubt they will be stationed too far from where they will attempt an ambush. Also, is there a planned procession for the officials who intend to sign?"
Narmin will nod to the Master and look at the others. "The Jedi have a training facility in Tibinnopolis. It is a good plan for us to go there to talk. We should be safe talking there."
I was just about to ask the same as Corine. If my knowledges would give me any real info about the planet I would probably take this opportunity to brief the others(and show off a bit).
Narmin will salute the Jedi politely when he sees him. "Greetings, Master Jedi. It will be a pleasure to serve with you."
He will follow after the Jedi, taking in the sights and sounds of the spaceport. He keeps his eyes open to try and spot any groups that look like they may have some knowledge of the darker side of the planet, just noting it mentally so he can come back and talk to them later when they are trying to gather some information.
Narmin nods his head in agreement to the others. "That is a good plan, we may as well have some R&R before we arrive, and getting to know each other will always help us function as a better unit. I'll see you all for dinner."
I enjoy the fluff RP to let our characters get to know one another, but I suspect that we are ready whenever the DM wants to kick things off with our arrival, unless someone else has something else in particular they wanted to introduce to the others before our arrival.
Oh, I figured that remained up. I have another talent where I can boost up your HP and your condition monitor a bit. I could have helped both fighters that way, but I was thinking to let things come to their natural finish instead.
Narmin nearly chimes in to spur the two fighters onward but decides to hold back, its a duel after all and the two sparring seem to seek a test of pure skill rather than his interference. Instead, he just focuses and tries to learn all he can from the two skilled fighters.
Narmin will nod his head towards the two, clearly impressed. "You are both very skilled. It is amazing to see how fast your blades move. The force truly guides your hands."
Narmin follows after and watches as well, leaning against a wall and trying to take in the specifics on the sparring match. He knows little enough about jedi, but he has often payed a great deal of attention to all sort of combat. Once the sparing begins and he has a chance to see both of their stances, he will offer his own observations to try and help them each spot and correct their own openings.
Narmin has the born leader Talent, so he would be adding +1 insight bonus on your attack rolls.
Narmin will give a small bow toward Cordal as well, nodding his head in respect. "An honor to meet you as well, friend jedi. If it is alright, I would accompany you two. I would be interested to learn more of the skills the jedi possess, and perhaps in learning such abilities we will develop better functioning as a team."
Narmin nods his head towards Tobler approvingly. "A tracker, excellent. Those skills will certainly come in handy to ensure that we round up all the pirates and none get away to start a new faction."
He then turns towards the Ithorian and will bow his head in respect. "I hold both jedi and medical technicians in great esteem. It is an honor to have you as part of the team."
I have a +9 on my gather info, so that should help some when that comes up.
Also, DM, are there any knowledges that may help us know a bit about Bespin, the areas that are getting hit, or maybe even the pirates in general? I have a handful of knowledges, and I figure galactic lore or social sciences might give some information about those things. Not sure if we know where they have hit ships recently, but would tactics be useful at all to determine a region where they might hit next?
Narmin nods his head towards Corine. "Indeed. For myself, I have some officer training and have built a reasonable skill with my pistols. I know my way around a rifle, but I am certain that I have not spent anywhere near the time on the range that you have, First Scout."

It is with great consideration that Narmin takes one of the drinks as swallows it, listening as the rest chatter among each other. He supposes he isn't on duty quite yet, so it isn't exactly against protocol and the crew having a drink together certainly raises morale.
He nods as the others speak, considering their words before adding his own. "There are good points here and much to be considered. Venturing into space as a lowly freighter is sure to be a quick way to let these pirates find us, but then we had best be sure they do so on our terms. If we are in a freighter that would look a tasty target, we have limited combat abilities in ship to ship combat and have to rely on assaulting their boarding crew. This means that should they realize what is happening they can disengage and blow us out of the water. If the freighter is armed, we stand a better chance in combat, but only a foolish band of pirates would attack an obviously armed vessel and we wouldn't be sent here if they were so foolish."
"Also, we do not know if they are running a single ship or if there is a greater operation at work here. If we are boarded and they have an armed patrol ship watching the area, repelling the boarders will do little. If there are more vessels hitting the shipping lanes and we take one, that is a boon, but it will only cause them to be more wary in the future. When we arrive on world, I suggest that we learn whatever we can about these pirates. If they have a base, I would recommend hitting them there rather than letting them come to us. If we cannot discover one, then we had best ensure whatever vessel we have is capable of fighting back but doesn't look like it."
Narmin then nods his head towards the doctor. "And Dr. Falomar is correct, we should assess each others abilities and gain some cohesion as a unit while we travel. When the heat is up, each member of the team needs to know what the others are capable of and be able to trust them with their lives."
Leaving his more heavy weaponry in his quarters, Narmin will at least bring along with him his blaster pistols and ion pistol, keeping them in their holster. You can never be too safe after all, especially when the crew is independent rather than republic guard.
Making sure his uniform, in this case a spacer's suit designed specifically not to look like a uniform, is in order and looking just disheveled enough to pass for something that was just thrown on he sets off for the medical bay. As he goes he makes sure to let his normally strict military stride shift to a more relaxed gait, focusing on it until that begins to feel more normal.
When he enters the medical center he will give a small salute to the Ithorian. "Narmin'Tier reporting for inspection as requested. Eager to meet the rest of the crew."
I still want to pretty up my character and get some real background up for the character, but statistically he is ready to go. Thats really all just fluff stuff.

Alright, here is what my character should be looking like. I'm going to go through and pretty up the character layout a bit and check it for any errors I might have made, but I think this is what we are looking at.
Unfortunately, Mechanics isn't on the Noble skill list so I couldn't pick that up without cross classing out. I tried to cover a lot of the knowledges and can serve pretty well as a communicator as well. I am only missing some of the more specialty science type knowledges and I suspect that if we hit a point where we are advancing levels I will be picking those up with feats.
If anyone has any suggestions on the character, let me know, I'm more than willing to look into any changes while we still have a chance. Otherwise, I'll be getting my background up soon and should be ready to go whenever we start.
Oh, and also, are we making use of destinies? If so, do you want us to select one, or are you choosing one behind the scenes for us? Honestly, I'm fine with the latter, if that is what you prefer, it is fun to have some mystery.
2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9 HP for 2nd and 3rd level.
