Background:

Ignatius "Nace" Bishop is a police officer in Bridgeport, CT with passion for science and investigative methods. He had a troubled youth and grew up in a particularly unhappy family. During his college years he uncovered unsavory secrets about his grandfather's past as a Nazi officer with a history of war crimes and a background in the occult arts. Among his grandfather's effects, he also found a tome of alchemical lore, which has been Nace's preoccupation ever since.

Nace struggles with internal conflict between the infernal energy within him and a conviction to live up to the ideals of his maternal great-grandfather, an American war hero whose sword Nace now carries.
