Born in 434, Arthur is 49 years old, born in Courtain. His father's father (for which he inherits his surname) was born in Greater Galatine, whereas the rest of his family was born in Durendal. Gaining wealth from owning mines to the north, the Blake family gained its riches when it hit a small cache of adamantium. After gaining its footing in wealthy circles, the Blake family served as a sort of ambassador to those from Galatine. Around the time of Arthur's birth, the family moved to Roland.

Arthur was raised wealthy, and under different circumstances than the rest of his family. As the only son to his parents, he was given a nice upbringing. At an early age, he decided to stop training his Galatian sorcerer bloodline, attempting to fit in more with Durendale society. At 25, he began using his manor to host guests from Galatine, At 28, he became a formal Ambassador at the Galatian Embassy in Roland. He held this position for around fifteen years, until at the 44 he ran for council, promising to improve relations between the two countries. He has a son and a daughter, at ages 24 and 20 respectively. Both children work in the Galatian Embassy, following in their father's footsteps. His wife is 45, born in Hauteclere.
