Transform 9/10 Round 3: Pound Attack. PP 33/35
Pound Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 19 Strong hit. +1 damage
Not sure if I'm also supposed to roll the enemy's defense? Seems like it'd go faster that way, but I don't know what its defense is.

Transform 9/10 I looked up grimer on PokemonDB. In the future will I be told what level the enemy is or should I just assume level 1 for moves? I ask since we're level 5 and a level 5 grimer would also have Harden according to that page.

Round 2: Pound Attack. PP 34/35
Pound Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Miss However, the other grimer, confused as to what this new grimer was doing, side stepped to avoid the glomp.

Transform 9/10 I'm a little confused about how initiative is going. We don't seem to be alternating between one of us and one grimer attack and we're not doing everybody on our team acts followed by one grimer attack. Can someone explain how initiative works in this system? Also, if I transform, how long do I stay transformed for? Technically I said I transformed at the beginning of combat (but I have no stats for the grimer, so I don't know how to attack right now) and since the grimer is already down to 3 HP, it seems a little like a waste to transform now if it's just going to end right after its defeated. Edit
Example to hopefully make my initiative question more clear: Perhaps instead of asking about initiative, a better question on my end would be "How do combat rounds work?" In this case, we were told we won initiative since the grimer was sleeping. As far as I can tell, combat thus far has gone:
Shulla - Enemy Grimer Howar'd Mokhir - Enemy Grimer If we were alternating between one of us and the enemy, I'd expect it to look more like
If we were going as a team, I'd expect it to look like
So I don't really understand how combat rounds are working. Or maybe I'm simply misunderstanding what the grimer has done thus far?

Transform 9/10 Just checking, but is it normal to just attack pokemon we see in a dungeon/assume they're hostile? It feels a little odd to me to be like, "Oh, a sleeping grimer. Let's attack it!" Especially since in this case the fact that we're in a "dungeon" doesn't seem super clear to me IC. Maybe I'm just not used to the setting though. But I mean, if we are attacking, my first thing is going to be to transform anyway, which isn't exactly super hostile.

Transform 9/10 @Mokhir: According to the campaign info, I believe skills are a d20, not a d10. I think d10 is just for damage. N1 does zir best to copy the cyndaquil's confidence. However, the eerie almost-silence of the forest doesn't help zir concentration. There was the soft drip-drip of rain off the thick canopy of trees. The occasional rustle of brush everywhere and yet nowhere at once. The awkwardly loud craccckk of twigs not avoided. And the slurrrrpp of mud sticking to limbs. It all oppressively quiet, but at the same time, given the unknown dangers that lurked within, hideously loud. N1 wanted to break the silence but at the same time feared to do so. So instead zie opted to just creep along, listening carefully for calls for help from a lost pokemon. Or perhaps for the approaching steps of a not-so-lost pokemon. Stealth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

N1 the cyndaquil almost hesitated. But that was not the fiery pokemon's way! "If that's how we find Sunflora, then that's how we find Sunflora." However, the threat of burning down the forest became increasingly less prominent as the march continued and N1 gradually returned to zir ditto form, pace noticeably slowing as this happened. So it looks like one group is Van the beldum, Fuki the fennekin, Xipil the charmander, and Blake the blaziken heading North. I guess that puts me, Mokhir the cyndaqil, Shulla the litwick, and Howar'd the farfetch'd in the other group, which I think is heading East? Now much more uncertain, N1 looked around as the pokemon around started to split into groups. Zie wobbled over to the less talkative of the two sets. "I...guess we are together? Shall we head out?"

Transform 9/10 Hopefully Howar'd never realizes the leeks are literally identical. :-P N1 was confused. What were they doing? Why were they looking for a sunkern? Was it any sunkern? What was the sunkern's name? The farfetch'd began to shake, not from the terrible weather but from the stress of confusion. Everyone else seemed to know what was going on. Why didn't he? Then the loud and confident cyndaquil ran up. He wasn't stressed. He wasn't confused. He was a man with plan and possibly a canal. And then just like that, so was N1 the cyndaquil. "Yes! We will burn down the woods!" He declared as he started marching towards the woods in question, oblivious to the fact that the rain was now at least 10 times more unpleasant.

Transform 9/10 Having now sidestepped more or less right up to the group, N1 the farfetch'd squawked as a piece of paper hit his head. He managed to catch the end of the furret's first sentence: "...sign this waiver." So he attempted to do so with his piece of leek without really reading the thing. It was...rather awkward as the combination of his wings and the vegetable that wasn't meant as a writing utensil did not combine well. The end result was a completely illegible scribble. N1 has just begun to contemplate how useful opposable thumbs would be, vibrating ever so slightly, when the piece of paper in question was whisked away. He looked around in confusion as now a skiploom seemed to be addressing him. And a few others. "Find...sunkern? What sunkern? ....which sunkern?" Was he a sunkern? Were they looking for him? But he was right here. And he had a name. Why didn't people seem to like names?

Transform 9/10 I just recently found an addon that seems like it would be extra useful for this game. It's called Paizo Campaign Tools, and one of the things it lets you do is replace avatars with any picture you want (though I assume it's just for your viewing and not other people's). It seems slightly buggy in that it's not replacing all of Van's pictures on the gameplay page, but for the most part seems to work, so I'm going to be replacing everybody's pictures with actual pictures of your pokemon. Also, despite some hiccups, the other functionality is also useful, imo.

Transform 9/10 N1 huddled down in the wind, the rain bouncing off the ditto's rubbery form. It wouldn't do to be blown away, which seemed a likely outcome in this weather. Still a smaller part of zir mind seemed to whisper, Spread out into a sheet. Fly away! Flying is fun. Flying is freedom. Or was that wrong? Was flying bad? When had zie flown before? Dittos had no wings. It was at this moment that N1 caught sight of the farfetch'd. He had wings, so he would know if flight was good, right? Should I go ask him? As zie contemplated what action to take, the ditto began to vibrate silently in thought, slowly starting to take on the form of the bird. The rain now slid off of waxed wings instead of bouncing as a new taste greeted new duck taste buds. But no, it wasn't knew. N1 had known it all his life as a farfetch'd. The air felt good ruffling his feathers. Wings spread just enough to enjoy the breeze without taking off. Flying was great, but it could be dangerous in such weather. The new farfetch'd then began also edging sideways towards the mayor.

Transform 9/10 Anon dotting in with my ditto alias N1 (pronounced "know-won"). Added a bit of a backstory to the profile. Couple of newbie questions though 1) How does combat as a team work? Is all combat 1-on-1 pokemon game style with switching different pokemon in and out? Or does everybody who's there have a turn and you pick an enemy to attack? 2) When not on a mission, can I transform for free (for role play reasons)? As for a team, I would prefer for N1 to be a newcomer, so I can role play introductions. N1 wants to be part of a team to go on missions and get stronger and has learned that more pokemon = less likely to faint and lose the fight. Ability: 1d100 ⇒ 55
