Myrwyn:
Our hero grew up and spent most of his early life in the north, among the Cymrians, though his origins lie far away - in the eastern lands of Thaythilor. A descendant from a long ago prominent family, the machinations and throne games put Myrwyn and his kin back against the wall. They were sent to supervise the new commercial settlement up in the North, near the lands of the Cymrians - an honorable position, though poisoned one as well, for most in Thaythilor had little hope for the new trading post to last. Of course, the settlement was attacked by the Cymrians and razed to the ground, but the young Myrwyn - though his name at the time was a different one - was spared due to his tender age and to some strange birthmarks that the local druids connected with the Lady of the Stars, Desna the Dreamer. He was taken into custody and slowly introduced in the Cymrian society, ending up as one of them - or should we better say a prominent one among them. Truly Myrwyn had a connection with the goddess, and it showed - he was just superior in most of what he tried. By the age of ten, he knew most of the clan’s tales by heart, could cure an adult’s wounds, was able to cross the forest alone without getting lost and had earned the respect of all the other children - and most grown-ups. When he turned 15, he noticed he could bend the elements to his will. He started having dreams where he discovered his destiny - to protect this world from outer danger. He started studying with the best bards of Cymru to learn all the ancient fables and myths, and went under the druids’ tutelage to learn how to control his gifts. When he felt he had nothing more to learn among the Cymrians, he traveled abroad to absorb all the knowledge he could - including a visit to his native Thaythilor. Through the years, he fought off many dangerous creatures, specially aberrations and outsiders, fulfilling his destiny as protector of this land. He knew of the existence of other worlds in the Material Plane, each with his own protector which would reincarnate after dying. It became clear he couldn’t age, or did so at a very slow rate, so he witnessed the death of many friends and even the disappearance of some countries.
