Mundino Galen Avenzoar is a tall and gaunt young man. He is dressed in a fine blue whoolen kaftan, which flows luxuriously over close-fitting breastplate armour. A finely embroidered silk ghoutra scarf frames a handsome dark face with a well-groomed beard and gleaming black eyes. His right leg is missing, replaced by an iron-shod wooden peg. He uses a tall longspear as a crutch. He carries a sickle on his hip with a finely carved ivory pommel. A big leather satchel is strapped over his shoulder and hangs from his side.

A haughty camel serves as a mounts for himself and his freight.

Mundino is a brilliant and persuasive speaker with tremendous pride and self confidence - bordering on arrogance. He has the power to inspire and he channels potent positive energy. He drinks deep from the wellspring of Life.


CHARACTER'S TALE:

This young physician grew up among the caravans coming in and out of Katapesh - he is the son of a pesh dealer (ibn-Zuhr) and his Chelaxian concubine. While Mundino was still a young boy a terrible fire swept through a caravanserai in Katapesh and killed his family. The boy survived, but lost his leg in that fire when a huge timber crushed it, He was rescued by a brave half-orc street urchin named Brebork.

Mundino spent the rest of his childhood as an amputee and pesh addict in the care of the priests of Sarenrae. His successful recovery was helped along by the encouragement and hard lessons he received from the young half-orc Brebork - who often supported him at the darkest of times and who became his childhood mentor and idol.

Mundino's experiences with various drugs and ointments as well as his suffering as a patient prepared him for a career in medicine. As his knowledge grew he began to show signs of a latent power - the power to heal. With time Mundino came to be known among the healers of the temple as a bright young talent in the making - a gifted healer with supernatural powers. But he never attributed his power to the Radiant Goddess. He blasphemously insisted that the power was his alone.

As he approached adulthood he became more strident in his heresy. The Priests were concerned about the controversy surrounding the youth and decided to send him away to Absalom to study medicine at one of their affiliated hospitals there. There he studied the medicine under the Osirian physician Valeres. He then served in the city guard as a medic. He quickly achieved fame and some wealth and was even invited to become a private physician for one of the city's wealthiest patricians.

One day he heard rumours that far away in Katapesh his hero Brebork had fallen, and that deeds of great renown were afoot in the gnoll infested desert around Kelmarane. Longing for adventure, desert skies and a chance to do honour to his old friend, Mundio sailed back to his old home to search for the Sand Stalkers and offer his services in their righteous cause.

Blade of Mercy: As a young convalescent in Katapesh, Mundino trained with the young half-orc Brebork, who taught him this technique. When striking to inflict nonlethal damage with any slashing weapon, Mundino does not take the normal –4 penalty on his attack roll, and gains a +1 trait bonus to any nonlethal damage he inflicts with the slashing weapon.

Savannah Child: As a child the young Mundino lived on the road with a merchant family (Pesh traders). He was practically born in the saddle. He relies on mounts even more now due to his crippled condition. +1Ride (Class Skill)

Mundio maintains good phyiscal fitness through diet and exercise

Lvl 1 Persuasive:
Mundio is skilled at swaying attitudes and intimidating others into his way of thinking. Benefit: +2 bonus on Diplomacy and Intimidate skill checks. With 10 or more ranks in one of these skills, the bonus increases to +4 for that skill.

Lvl 3 Selective Channeling: up to 4 targets [+4cH]
Mundino can choose whom to affect when he channels energy.
Benefit: When he channels energy, he can choose a number of targets in the area up to his Charisma modifier. These targets are not affected by his channeled energy.

LvL 5 Improved Channel:
Mundino's channeled energy is hard to resist. Benefit: Add 2 to the DC of saving throws made to resist the effects of his channeled energy ability.

ORACLE'S CURSE:

Lame: A victim of a tragic fire in a Katapeshi caravenserai, Mundino lost a leg to a falling beam of burning wood. One of his legs is permanently wounded, reducing his base land speed by 10 feet. Yet he managed to adapt in marvelous ways. His speed is never reduced due to encumbrance. He is immune to the fatigued condition (but not exhaustion). At 10th level, his speed will never be reduced by armor. At 15th level, he will be immune to the exhausted condition.

ORACULAR MYSTERY: LIFE:

Class Skills: An oracle with the life mystery adds Handle Animal, Knowledge (nature), and Survival to his list of class skills.

Bonus Spells: detect undead (3rd), lesser restoration (5th), neutralize poison (7th), restoration (9th), breath of life (11th), heal (13th), greater restoration (15th), mass cure critical wounds (17th), mass heal (19th).


ORACULAR REVELATIONS:

SAFE CURING(Su):
Whenever Mundino casts a spell that cures the target of hit point damage, he does not provoke attacks of opportunity for spellcasting.

CHANNEL POSITIVE ENERGY (Su): 30'; 3D6; DC 18; 7x per day
Mundino can release a wave of energy by channeling the mysterious forces of Life through his prosthetic leg.

Channeling energy causes a burst that affects all creatures in a 30-foot radius centered on the Oracle. The amount of damage dealt or healed is equal to 1d6 points of damage plus 1d6 points of damage for every two Oracle levels beyond 1st (2d6 at 3rd, 3d6 at 5th, and so on). Creatures that take damage from channeled energy receive a Will save to halve the damage. The DC of this save is equal to 10 + 1/2 the Oracle's level + the Oracle's Charisma modifier. Creatures healed by channel energy cannot exceed their maximum hit point total—all excess healing is lost. He may channel energy a number of times per day equal to 3 + his Charisma modifier. This is a standard action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. He can choose whether or not to include himself in this effect.
