Moselle was born to two human parents in a small village in Taldor. When his mother was pregnant with him a mysterious wandering priest accompanied by several surprisingly intelligent dogs asked to bless the unborn Moselle and his parents agreed. It is believed that this priest was some sort of archon in disguise and that this blessing is the reason Moselle is an Archon-blooded.
When he was about 13, a series of murders broke out in his home village. Men were getting killed in unusual ways. Food turned to glass, monsters that normally avoided human settlements would come and ravage the village before being put down, people were being aged overnight, and other unusual and obviously magical crimes were being committed. It seemed the little village was doomed.
Everything changed when the Knights arrived. Led by a mysterious blind commander in mithril armor, they came and quickly determined that the source of the misfortune was a coven of witches, led by a Mute Hag. The coven in question was hiding outside of the town and picking off men at random because they enjoyed the power and because they were misanthropes in service to Gyronna. Moselle learned that because the local garrison had been shut down recently there was no patrol in the area and the village was left entirely on its own. If the knights had not ridden by and decided to help the entire village would have probably died. Thus began Moselle's campaign to bring order to the edge of civilization, and in doing so, protect people from being victimized by random acts of cruelty like his village was. His first step was to find a group of like-minded people, as he felt that organizations were crucial to helping people on such a scale.
As he went to the city he was initially brought into the fold of the church of Abadar. The Judge of the Gods was a seemingly good fit for Moselle, but he felt somewhat unfulfilled. As good as the Church's position on the roles of judges and authority was, he felt that there are more things to learn and his personal beliefs didn't totally fit.
He discovered the Cult of Ohleon in the Temple of Abadar, as mystery cults often associate with larger, like-minded churches, and the Judge of the Gods and the Just Arbiter are of similar minds. The teachings of Ohleon struck a nerve with the young aasimar: authority exists to serve the public, leaders are responsible for the actions of their followers, nobles ought to work for the betterment of their vassals. These were ideas that he felt were in line with what he wanted for the world. After moving to the Cult, he went out into the world to spread the teachings of Ohleon and his own vision of how the world and civilizations ought to behave. He found himself drawn to chaotic lands and lands where disorder reigned, believing those forces were stifling the growth and prosperity of the people and holding them back. This lead him to Numeria. He wants to end the rule of the Technic League and either force the Black Sovereign to enhance his rule or to depose him.
