Hey guys, I've run into one hell of a real life snafu, and have basically been living out of my car for the last week or so. That means no wifi, and no access to my laptop. That makes leveling pretty damned hard. Hopefully everything gets better on the first, and I can actually have a house again. Anyway, I apologize profusely for being so absent. I'll still be posting, I'll probably just be a lot more scarse.
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick scoffs.
Asmodeus has no interest in your heart... he wants your soul. He's willing to bargain for it, you know.
He stays quiet for the most part, until the eye-fungus is revealed. He recoils back, and shakes his head.
Is everything here vile and strange?
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick eyes Damien and moves over to him.
The will of Asmodeus is mine to deliver!
Se'Liss rolls her eyes.
Oh, for the love of-- JUST HEAL THE MAN! Geez!
Morrick places his hand on Damien's chest and produces healing energy.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
He then stands, and looks at the rest of the group.
That's all I've got. Asmodeus... isn't the kindest God when it comes to injury, I'm afraid.
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick takes another swing, two handed this time, trying to crush the thing's head. He continues his speech, to try and keep his allies motivated.
These creatures exist against the will of Asmodeus! Slay them, and gain his approval!
Se'Liss pipes up as she sways, keeping her grip on Morrick's neck.
Yeah, Asmodeus is gonna save us. Fat lotta--hey! Stop swinging that thing like a madman and actually learn how to use it Morrick!!-- good he's doing now, huh?

Growling at the chains' failure, Morrick swings his mace in a vicious arc.
Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Maintaining Bardic Performance is a free action. Morrick would be able to cast a spell or attack as well, which he will do.
As Morrick advances, he points at the Dopplenurse and shouts out part of the holy word of Asmodeus.
And those who spew chaos shall be bound by the word of Asmodeus himself!
A spiked chain bursts from the ground underneath the creature, and wraps around its legs, attempting to drag it to the ground!
Barbed Chains Trip: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

Morrick grins.
I never said that they wouldn't fight back... Only that we vanquished them. Which we did. If you need help fighting old women, perhaps you should bargain with Asmodeus for strength...
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick begins speaking to the group in a powerful tone.
Do you feel that? That tingling on the back of your neck? That is our enemies coming to break themselves on our weapons and magic. Do not falter, well there has been no for here yet that we haven't vanquished.
Inspire Courage +1
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick looks grimly at the execution attempt, but says nothing.
We need to make sure no more bizarre foes come after us. I'll stand watch with Damien while everyone else searches the room.
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Se'Liss raises her head to stare at the prisoners.
We just got whacked good by a dopple-granny, so how we know you aren't some kind of shifty freaks too?!
Morrick clamps the viper's mouth shut after the outburst, and speaks firmly.
As rude as she is, my companion is right. Who are you, and why are you here?
Profession: Barrister in place of Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Hey all, I was without wifi for a while there. I switched providers and they told me there wouldn't be a lapse in service... Then I got a lapse in service because they had to run cable to my block. I'm getting everything updated now.
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick grins wickedly, and points a finger at the "woman".
Lay back down!
Cast Command on her to fall prone.
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick seems nonplussed by the discoveries, and nods to Faust.
My thoughts exactly. I have a spell that could make her tell me the truth, but I don't know if it's worth it.
Se'Liss, however, has a much more direct approach in mind.
Hey Lady! Yeah, you! How do we know you aren't one of those weird shape changey things? And why would they steal your chair? That seems random!
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick nods at Navin's suggestion.
That makes the most sense. The kitchens are a necessity, but there is no reason to leave anything unknown in our wake, llest we be caught unawares on the return trip. If we wait until tomorrow morning, I will have my spells.
The Asmodean then goes to the small tribute to his god, and begins praying. Se'Liss rolls her eyes, and then takes a nap, snoring loudly (for a snake, anyway). Even in sleep, the familiar finds a way to harass the cleric, as her snoring interrupts his prayers more than once.

Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick looks back and forth between the arguing parties, and sighs. Se'Liss, however, is much more vocal.
Wait, wait wait. You're telling me there are more of these psycho-changey-things out there? What in the nine hells is going on? Is this some kind of "siege on the looney bin"?
The serpent tightens it grip on Morrick's neck and looks out of the doors, at the storm.
So let me get this straight. There's an army of shape shifters out there, in some kind of hallucinogenic thunderstorm, and you want us to go kill some? We just woke up, for Asmodeus' sake!
Morrick thwacks the snake between the eyes with his index finger, to stop the ranting, and speaks to the group.
I'm sure you can see how my friends feel this endeavor is slightly ludicrous. What's to stop those things from killing each other? If they wanted to infiltrate you, they could easily fake a few deaths just to get the door open. And if you are dead set on this, then we're going to need something better than table legs...
He gestures to his group and continues his sly vocal manipulation.
We need rest, though, more than anything. I haven't had time to commune with my god for his gifts of power, and I'm sure we have a spellcaster or two who need to gather themselves and focus their arcane might. At least let us rest here, and set out when we're better prepared.

Hey everyone, sorry for being absent for the last few days. My two year old brought home some kind of demon flu that the entire house failed fort saves on. I'm on the mend now, and catching everything up and getting all of my games updated.
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick tilts his head at Se'Liss's words, and then looks to the others in the room.
Thick yellow fog? Like the one in our collective nightmare...?
He ponders the meaning of that for a moment and then speaks again.
I can't help but reason that the two are related. We should see this for ourselves.
He rummages through his backpack, and produces rope, a grappling hook, and pitons.
Anyone able to climb?

Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Damien hangs his mace at his belt, and runs his fingers over his holy symbol lovingly.
At least now I can cast my spells. I'll have to meditate for a while, first.
The Asmodean walks over and begins looking through the bodies for anything else of note while the others put on thier gear.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Being too shaken from earlier events, however, he doesn't find anything.
Once everyone is finished, he addresses the group.
It appears that while we don't know each other, and we don't know anything about how we got here, or what happened to us, we have to work together if we're going to escape. Whatever differences we may have, be it race, religion, or beliefs, must be shelved.
The man looks almost pained when he mentions race, as if that will be a personal challenge for him.
He looks at everyone again, and speaks.
I am a cleric of Asmodeus, tasked with bringing people to his worship. I can employ some healing magic, but it is not my... forte, so to speak. What of you all? What are your skills? We must know what the other can do if we are to become a team.
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick nods.
Yeah. Let's get the hell out of here.

Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick glares at the serpent, and snaps back.
As much as I would like to abandon you in a pile of rotting carcasses, you overgrown tapeworm, you're right. The Boss wouldn't like that at all, and angering a god isn't on my to-do list.
Even though his words are harsh, the man picks up the serpent, checking it for damage, and then places it on his shoulder so it can loop around his neck, the head coming out over the man's right shoulder, like some kind of reptilian pirate's parrot. It's clear that even though they appear to hate one another, there is some kind of affection there, even if neither one of them will admit it.
I'm glad to see you're unharmed. Now, where in the nine hells are we? And why can't I remember anything?
GM, feel free to roleplay back what Se'Liss knows about the current situation.
The snake ignores Morrick for a second, and responds to Damien.
What, you've never seen a hell-sent guardian before? It's my job to make sure this moron, the viper jerks its horned head toward Morrick, succeeds in his mission for Asmodeus. And to help. Ocassionaly.
Se'Liss doesn't have a template, but he does appear slightly devil-ish. He has red eyes, his scales are black and red, and he has small horns that form over the bridge of his eyes, kind of like a horned toad. He's intelligent, and will tell his opinion to anyone that is physically able to listen, whether they like it or not.
The viper looks back to Morrick, and answers his questions.
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick calls out.
Se'Liss! I can feel you! Where are you, you insufferable bastard?!
He fires his crossbow at the fleeing Doppleganger, the shot looking like it's going wide.
I demand to know what's going on here! Where am I? Why am I in a cell?! SOMEONE ANSWER ME!!
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 2
Despite his voice raising, he still looks about nervously, especially since he fired his only bolt.
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2

Morrick scrambles to the keys, and unlocks the door.
What-- What is going on here?!
He notices that his loaded crossbow is on the floor next to him, and he grabs it and aims it at the Damiens.
Who are you two? And what's going on here?! Tell me now, or I'll bring the might of Asmodeus himself down on you!
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
After being hit so viciously, and seeing the other pulling ahead, Morrick runs after them.
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick shouts, and punches the thing, throwing a wild haymaker.
Asmodeus curse you!
Unarmed Strike, Nonlethal: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

If we are on to round 2
Morrick retreats with the others, but keeps looking over his shoulder to see if the creature is following. If it is, he fires his crossbow at it as soon as he can make out the shape.
Crossbow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
He continues his inspiring words as the group flees.
Don't lose heart! Asmodeus is with us!
If the creature is not pursuing, he gestures to the others to stop, and gather themselves.
Whatever that was, I think two of us fell to it! They aren't with us! Who knows where we are? What is going on?
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Don't forget the bonus from Inspire Courage!
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Morrick jumps slightly at the creature's viscous swipe, and aims his crossbow. He doesn't fire quite yet, his hands still shaking from the suddenness of the whole situation. He does, however, begin speaking. His voice is strong, and deep, like a priest giving a sermon in temple.
Be brave, all of you! I may be without my spell components, and my holy symbol, but Asmodeus is with us still! With his blessing on us, we cannot fail! And should you find your skills lacking, just think of his name, and offer yourself for a deal, and he will listen!
The cleric stays away from the creature, making sure one of the other people in the...room... is between it and himself.
Inspire Courage +1

Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick doesn't go near any of the people, but he does look toward the noise, and draws a loaded crossbow from his back. He checks to make sure there is indeed a bolt in the chamber, and points it toward the footsteps.
I... I have this. My belongings are missing as well. I won't be much for casting my spells without my holy symbol, either. Why am I here? I don't know any of you!
The man seems a bit unstable in his panicked state, almost as if he's just as ready to fire the crossbow at any of the people gathered around as he is at whatever is making the noise.
Oh yeah GM, in case it matters before I can get the alias completed, my traits are Twitchy for the campaign trait and soul drinker, the dark archive trait that allows you to gain hp equal to a slain foes HD once per day. If the second trait isn't allowed then I can easily change it.
Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
Morrick looks around groggily, and reaches for his mace. In it's absence, he begins to feel a cold, paranoid, feeling of dread. This is only magnified by his familiar, Se' Lissis, being gone as well. Upon the discovery of the other five, he backs away, looking around frantically.
Wh-- Who are you? Where are my belongings? Where is Se' Lissis?! Where is HERE?!

Male Human Cleric (Asmodean Advocate, Evangelist) 1 | Sermonic Performance: 10 HP: 10 | AC: 15 T: 12 FF: 13 | Fort: 4 Ref: 3 Will: 5 | CMD: 13 | Initiative: 8 | Cold Iron Heavy Mace: +1, 1d8+2; 20x2 Light Crossbow: +2, 1d8; 19-20x2
This is GM Evil's alias. My phone is giving me issues with posting the profile online, but his starting feats are extra bardic performance and improved initiative. He's going to be cleric all the way, with a viper familiar who speaks common and infernal.
He'll have stealth as a class skill, can use profession barrister for bluff and diplomacy, and will have an initiative modifier of +8 and 10 rounds of bardic performance. He will channel negative energy, can only spontaneously cast command at level 1 (instead of CLW), and isn't going to be much for healing.
As soon as I'm able to get to a computer, I will have the alias fully posted. GM, his backstory will be exactly the same as it was before, except that the viper familiar will take the place of the eidolon.
Please don't hold the game up for the others on my account.
