Morley grew up in Brunderton. He was raised by dwarven merchants after his mother (a disgraced minor noble of House Garess who had been staying in Brunderton) died giving birth to him... in the town where his father had abandoned them. Naive to the way of the world, he grew up with fantasies of returning to inherit a noble hero's life. When he came of age to leave the home of his dwarven parents, he was soon faced with reality. Turned away by the house guards who made no attempt to hide their derisive snickering, he ended up becoming a rank-and-file soldier. He was developing a complex minor obsession with Brevic nobility, his defense mechanisms to protect his vulnerable self esteem made him both bitter and bent on seeking validation. On his good days he would recall his favorite characters, from stories as a child, were those willing to lay down their life for the "hero"... that could be his role one day. When he felt slighted however, his bitterness would recall the tragic tales of those who put the letter of the law and the well-being of the nobles above the good of the people. One day he happened upon a Worgendale, the name of his birth-father. He turned out to be a second cousin, and a member of the Order of the Dragon. When Morley asked to join him, his cousin was reluctant, and denied naming him as a legacy. Morley was accepted in spite of this, by recommendation of his captain. He felt at home with the order immediately. Although he found them a bit elitist (his cousin Stuart continued to be one of the worst regarding elitist behavior), he had no great difficulty fitting in with the small group during his training. Anxious to get on the road, Morley volunteered to accompany two other members of the Order to escort a caravan into the Stolen Lands. description:
Morley wears scale mail with mismatched boots, and a simple style barbute of dark slightly pitted metal. Over his armor is a stained yellow tabard with green trim, and an embroidered dragon on the front... the detailing has been worn down to just a silhouette. His musket stands out as being the only well-maintained thing on his person. Order of the Dragon Cavaliers (Morley's Allies) Largo Chigi - Big barrel-chested swarthy moustachioed man. Flail and shield are his arms of choice. He has somewhat typical paladin-like morals, and does not wholeheartedly approve of Morley's dishonorable combat style. Gruff and suspicious toward outsiders (especially the more "monstrous humanoids"), but warms up eventually. He tends to get frustrated when lines of right and wrong are not distinct.

Marcus Bissel - Redheaded and weathered ruddy complexion with big sad eyes, and scruffy goatee. Prefers longsword and shield, and wears stylized militia gear. Quiet and difficult to read... particularly good with horses, and quite often comes off as creepy around women. Marcus sports a tattoo of 11 doves spiraling around his right bicep.
