I agree. I'm not sure this party will ever really agree how to tie this place up, and I've made no secret of the fact that I'm not a fan of pbp. I will miss the RP with you guys though. Morg's final thoughts:

Morgrym turns looking out over the mountains. "I trust 'im more than I do the ten, which isn't sayin' much, but still." Morgrym's brow deepens more "I need to head off to the Vikkars to make arrangements for their equal share of the city's riches. I may or may not return." Morgrym turns to the party, still cross. "I nae trusted the lot o' yeh, but we took down some evil here. Don't make me regret it." He looks more specifically at Filraen. "Sheila's right teh be concerned. But she's wrong teh think that the ten will be any better. Don't make me come back up here, Fil. If I have to, I suspect I'll be comin' fer yer head."

Morgrym evaporates and flies down the mountain.

Silver Crusade

"The number one thing I'm worried about is riddin' this place o' corruption. If we can do that without tearin' it down, great. If not, well ... och. If not at all ..." Morgrym has a grim and concerned look about him with that last sentiment.

"As teh compensation fer the Vekkars, aye, they should get a piece teh make up fer the time their family spent in illegitimate shame. Maybe a bit o' education an' comfort. Nice and deservin' folk, them, if a little simple."

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Morgrym pops an eyebrow, understanding Filraen's posture and taking his challenge. "Now, before I say what I'm about teh, let me clarify that I'm not specifically advocatin' for Xin'Shalast's destruction, at the moment. That said- who are yew teh unilaterally decide the fate o' this place? Have yeh not seen, as we have, the concentrated evil on this mountain? We've a responsibility to ensure that other peoples and other locales are nay threatened by the corruption o' this city. We must investigate and cleanse Xin'Shalast if it's teh be used further. And,"

Morgrym pauses, taking a moment, and wearily giving everyone in the room the stink eye.

"And, if we find that there's evil that we cannae cleanse, then it is also our responsibility to burn everything to the ground in holy fire 'til there's nothin' left, evil or good. I dinnae come up here teh kill a Runelord an' stop 'im from spreadin' evil an' misery only teh watch the minions an' tools o' his legacy do it for 'im"

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Morgrym looks cautious. And highly unamused. Those here that know him, however, would be un-phased. When is that lumpy Dwarf ever amused?

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

"Well, if we're goin' teh stand on platitudes," Morgrym clears his throat, "I am his holiness Morgrym Anvilstrike, Forge Cleric an' High Crusader for the Father o' all creation, Torag."

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

"Salutations." Morgrym reaches for his axe. "Please forgive my caution, but we've encountered naught but foes on this thrice-damned mountain. Who are ya, and what's yer intention?"

Passive Sense Motive: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (12) + 30 = 42

This is Morg's passive sense motive unless Ceoptra says something that I think might set off Morg's alarms more specifically.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Your explanation from earlier, as I said, satisfied me for now, but do keep in mind that Morg is constantly under the effect of a mind blank spell.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

how does she seem to know so much about us?

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

There's that, but I was more referring to how Ursus would react at the mention of "physical persuasions." His Barry White style was always hilarious to me.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Oh man, I really wish Nick was still following this thread.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

apologies for the post of no value to any other than me. I just wanted to organize Morg's thoughts, so I can hopefully figure out why he's even here anymore or what he wants now that the Vekkars' names are cleared.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Morgrym finds the nearest private room to think. He's satisfied that he's found the evidence needed to clear the name of the Vekkars' family, but there are still many loose ends in this grand scheme.

"What's teh be done with the rest o' the denizens o' this horrible fortress?

"How're the riches teh be used?

If there's room fer it, what do I want out o' all this?"

With that question, Morgrym shakes his head. Those sorts of thoughts are to be left at the way side.

"What does Fil intend here?

What's Gabi's game? I'm usually smart about readin' people, but I can't get a read on her. With all of this wealth, is she plannin' on screwin' people teh feed her ambition? Why in the nine hells does she want ME teh be a member o' the Decemvirate? Does she honestly think she'll have some sort o' inside sway with me? Smells like she's tryin' teh make puppets out o' the society fer her own gains, but she's so damned silver-tongued and stony-faced that there's no way teh figure out what she's really after fer certain."

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Morgrym agrees and follows through the snow.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

"Well, then I guess the next move is teh figure out the most valuable / profitable way teh sell the contents o' this mountain."

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

"So, now we've got teh figure out if the Vekkars had legal claim teh the City o' Xin Shalast?"

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

"Well, let's take a closer look, shall we?"

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Morgrym looks a bit degected at first, but his manner quickly turns to grim determination.

"We keep lookin'."

Morgrym begins marching to the next point.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

"Three ought teh be fine."

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

If you are willing to pay for it, Morg will set it up for you.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

I try to play it that way, otherwise, I would've gotten a few permanency'd spells.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

So at this point, I think we'll rest, mostly because we can't agree on when the last time we rested is, so for the sake of clarity, we'll rest. Then we will summon whatever outsiders we need to help us out with the excavation, since Morg likes that plan ;) .

"Gabi, to create a place as I have, yeh have to be among the most powerful o' casters, but the magic fer it comes in stages."

He explains what comes out to be the greater version of this.

"Unfortunately, the overgods of Golarion have made it so that I cannae create it permanently."

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

"I propose this: We've nae slept in a long time, an' I think we could use a bit o' rest. We can go to mah' little restin' spot. Comfortable beds, roarin' fires, an' a forge ... ahem. Best part is, yeh don't age there, and time that passes there, doesn't pass here, so yeh can sleep sound knowin' whatever great perils are here now will be just the same when yeh get back, an' not worse.

In the mornin' we can find out more about the ores that the Vekkars were up here for. How's that sound?"

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Morgrym is preparing Control Weather. Also, those numbers are old. ;)

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Morgrym sighs, taking a moment in the chaos to recenter himself, a monumental task for someone so irritable and vengeful.

"Give me 10 minutes with the Forgemaster, an' I should be able teh turn back the storm, assuming my magic is powerful enough teh break the caster who made the it in the first place."

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

"Sheila, if yeh cannae fly, I'll be happy teh carry yeh. As fer the papers, we should study 'em, and take a sample o' the ore, to prove the miners weren't dishonorable."

I believe that was the issue, that the explorers were excommunicated because most think they reneged (sp?) on a deal for this ore or something like that.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Morgrym goes to pick up the wand tossed by Filraen.

"Thank, Fil, I'll get Sheila up an' runnin' in no time."

Morgrym glances at the wand, but then inspects more closely. His expression curls into a scowl.

"This sort o' magic ... Sheila, I'll only use this spell on yeh if yeh consent to it. It will transform yer blood to that of a fiend, so that yer body can self heal. You'll radiate evil magic fer a small time while it knits yer wounds, though yer mind will be mostly unaffected."

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

"By Torag's beard! I would hope so."

Morgrym steps over to Sheila, giving her one over to make sure she isn't afflicted with more than simple flesh wounds.

Heal: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (6) + 31 = 37

He will also put away his axe, and pull out 2 wands, healing his CHA damage.

Wand of Lesser Restoration: 1d4 ⇒ 2

The second wand was that of Cure Light wounds, and he will begin administering charges of that to Sheila.

Wand of Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Wand of Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Wand of Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

If she is full before the three charges are used, I will stop before using them.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

I didn't miss it, just been a bit caught up. Thanks for the message, anyhow.

Morgrym takes a 5 foot step and attempts the fatally dismember the Wendigo.

Coup de Grace Critical Damage: 14d6 + 87 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 5, 1, 5, 2, 6, 6, 5, 4, 3, 4, 4) + 87 = 140

Morgrym attempts to cast defensively.

Concentration Check: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (13) + 26 = 39 vs. DC 31 (15+(8x2))

Morgrym casts Frightful Aspect. The Wendigo and the ghost are now shaken unless they are immune to fear effects or mind effects.

The buff includes DR 10/Magic if that matters, and SR 19.

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Morgrym will attempt to search for / track the remains we're after.

Survival: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Morgrym, finally catching up, bellows "We have to go north and find the body of Vekkar's brother. I came here teh put these betrayed men to rest, and Wendigo or no Wendigo, that's what I aim teh do."

Will Save 1: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (1) + 25 = 26

Fort Save: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (6) + 29 = 35
Will Save: 1d20 + 33 ⇒ (20) + 33 = 53

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Morgrym scoops up the remains in total, and will double back as quickly as he can.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Realizing he forgot an important ingredient in properly burying the remains ... Morgrym double backs ... for the remains.

"Ock! I cannae forget the damn remains!"

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Acrobatics: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (17) - 3 = 14

"Let's get the hell outta here!"

Morgrym, having Airwalk, simply double moves to the shaft.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Morgrym will search the room for any writings, journals, what have yous.

Perception: 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (7) + 31 = 38

He's looking for anything that might be a final reckoning of things, which might also talk about what their final wishes were.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Knowledge Religion check = way too high not to get this. ;)

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Sorry, didn't realize I was back up.

"Well either the knock was part o' the haunt, or there's incorporeal undead about."

Morgrym moves the the center of the room and channels to harm undead.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

"B*llocks."

How big is the room?

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Morgrym casts Righteous Might, looks to Gabi and Fil, giving them each nods. Should they give the nod back, indicating they are ready, Morg will shout out "C'mon yeh wee piss bucket haulers! C'mon in and taste the Redemption of the Forgemaster!"

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

To identify the monster:

Morgrym's eyes go wide. We need teh get teh tha' consecration as quick as possible, lads and ladies. YOU might not be able teh see 'em, but we've been joined by the men we're here teh save!" Morgrym's face hardens, and he faces the ghosts attacking him. "Yeh hear that, lads? We're here to send yeh on teh Torag, where yeh belong! We can do this the easy way, or the hard way!"

On mentioning the hard way, Morgrym readies to swing Torag's Wrath. Should they continue, Morgrym will full attack.

Assuming that the the swings are needed:

Attack: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (19) + 27 = 465d6 + 26 ⇒ (6, 6, 1, 5, 4) + 26 = 48

Not all servants of the Lord of Law are evil.

Is that what yeh tell yerself, so yeh can sleep at night?

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

"Agreed, so let's move on. Bring those jewels and the ledger. Might be useful in our mission to bring these lads peace.'

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Well then, I guess we are going up then.

Silver Crusade

Male Dwarf Warpriest of Torag 19

Morgrym casts Air Walk on himself and nods to Gabi and Filraen, following Gabi down the shaft, floating above the stairs.
