At first, little distinguishes Glarf from any other Orc-Blood mercenary. He is huge, but aren't all Half-Orc barbarians? He is not obviously more muscled than his brethren. Instead, he carries as much fat as muscle on his hulking physique. He is scarred and slightly disfigured, leaving his mouth in a permanent lopsided snarl.
But Glarf is different than other half-Orc warriors in that he survives. Battle after battle, war after war, mission after mission, Glarf has survived. He has been the last warrior in a battle, picking over the bodies of his enemies and former "friends" for loot (and rumor has it lunch). He has charged through hordes of enemy soldiers after a battle was lost. And more often than not, he has emerged from a battle victorious, cut by a dozen swords and stuck by twice as many arrows, but interested only in being paid and moving on to the next battle, pillaging or murder.
