Mirabelle is a half-Tian-Min, half-Varisian human who was born and raised in Magnimar. She is medium height with long, curly black hair, brown eyes with a red hue, and slightly more slanted features than an average Varisian. She has an intricate tattoo on her upper left arm of the outline of a moth with the face of a wolf decorating the wings, a bright sun behind it. The moth against the sun are the Enomoto clan symbols referring to an old fable. She generally wears her hair up in a bun with a pair of decorative golden hairpins holding it in place. Her usual outfit consists of a white, ruffled blouse tucked into an ankle-length black skirt, a long, navy wool coat with wide sleeves, and a pair of high-heeled boots with white spats. Most of her knives are hidden in her coat in hidden pockets.
Mira is a friendly, brave young woman with an optimistic view of life. She tries to put her charm and good nature to best use by settling disputes peacefully, rather than jumping right to combat. She will also stop to help anyone in need as she considers protection of the innocent to be an important part of her job as a demon hunter. She tends to offer gifts of food to people as peace offerings. When she is hunting, however, she becomes more focused and less jovial. Unless someone is in immediate danger, the hunt comes first.
Mira is open-minded and trusts her intuition. She's brave and stubborn when it comes to her work. She has a certain amount of confidence in herself and in her skills. She is also willing to work with people and follow another's lead when it comes to working in groups. Oddly, despite being a hunter of the inhuman, she has some attraction to non-human races, regardless of gender or species. Her stubbornness, however, can often come at a cost if she does not agree with another person's priorities and she has a hard time admitting when she's wrong. While she has confidence in her skills, she lacks a lot of experience and can often be caught off-guard when she comes across an unfamiliar situation. She can be too trusting at times which can lead her into danger. Her attraction to non-humans can sometimes lead to her letting her guard down around those she finds charming.
Her father, Gustav Volk (aka The Great Wolf of Varisia), is a somewhat well-known hunter in the underground circles for it. He met and married her mother while travelling Minkai and Mirabelle was born shortly after their return to Magnimar. Her mother's family, the Enomoto clan, were once well-known Demon Hunters and exorcists though they no longer value such skills. Mirabelle's mother was given nearly the entirety of their scrolls on demon hunting as a wedding gift. While Volk attempted to teach her how to hunt as a Ranger, she found that being a Rogue suited her more.
Learning from both her father’s teachings and the family scrolls, she would often shadow her father on hunts or patrols around the city, which led to several encounters with things that thrived in the darkness. Her father instructed her to use her mother’s family name shortly after her second hunt. While both surnames have reputations in the underground circles, his was more recent and more relevant.
Around four months ago, Volk disappeared. Mirabelle has been hunting without him for all that time and hopes that the letter she received will help lead her to her missing parent.
