Special Abilities
--------------------

Daemonic Resistance Auri have ice resistance 5, lightning resistance 5, and fire resistance 5.
Daemonic Scales Auri’s patches of scales along their body grant them a +1 bonus to natural armor.
Fearless Auri get a +2 racial bonus on saves against fear.
Friendly Attitude Raen are very friendly and social, usually the host of a party or social function. They gain a +2 racial bonus to Diplomacy checks. Xaela do not get this trait.
Keen Senses Some auri have a keener sense of smell and sight. They receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception checks. This racial trait replaces survivalist.
Pacification and Avoidance Auri of the Raen clan train more to avoid conflict than their Xaela sisters. Auri with this racial trait gain Dodge as a bonus feat. Xaela cannot pick this trait. This racial trait replaces ferocity.
Darkvision All auri can see perfectly in the dark up to 60 feet.
VainWhenever you fail an opposed Charisma-based check, you take a –2 penalty on all Charisma-based checks for the next 24 hours.
Class Skills Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Drive (Dex), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (nobility) (Int), knowledge (technology) (Int), Profession (Wis), Repair, Sense Motive (Wis), and Swim (Str).
Limit Break At 1st level, the magitek pilot receives the Limit Break (Megaton Smash).
Megaton Smash (Su): This Limit Break empowers the magitek pilot’s Magitek to make a single natural weapon attack with a +2 circumstance bonus to attack rolls + an additional +2 bonus per four chocobo knight levels after 1st. If the attack hits, the target takes an extra 2d6 points of damage + an additional 2d6 per four chocobo knight levels after 1st in addition to the normal damage it deals with its natural weapon plus double the Strength modifier for damage. If the attack was a critical hit, the Strength modifier is tripled instead.
This ability replaces the Limit Break (Fight as One).
Magitek Mount At 1st level, the magitek pilot gains possession of a powerful Magitek. This Magitek functions as a beastmaster’s animal companion, using the magitek pilot’s level as his effective beastmaster level. A magitek pilot’s mount does not gain the shared senses special ability. If a magitek pilot enhances his Magitek mount with quality components (see below), all permanent buffs carry over in advancements. But if the magitek pilot’s Magitek mount is destroyed, all permanent buffs are lost if he builds a new one.
Magiteks are not true living creatures, despite being treated as such in some ways, and do not gain feats or skill points of their own. Magiteks cannot take actions on their own, and instead use the pilot’s actions. A Magitek’s Hit Dice, armor, and abilities advance as the chocobo knight advances in level. If a character receives a companion from more than one source, his effective chocobo knight levels stack for the purposes of determining the statistics and abilities of the companion.
A magitek pilot does not take an armor check penalty on Drive checks while piloting his mount. A magitek pilot’s knowledge of his mount is unmatched. Should a magitek pilot’s mount be destroyed, the magitek pilot may build a new Magitek to pilot after 1 week of repair work. If the magitek’s hit points are reduced to 0, it becomes inactive. Exiting an inactive magitek requires a standard action. If a magitek continues to take damage beyond 0, it will explode. A magitek being reduced to -20 will explode immediately, dealing 5d6 points of fire damage to the operator (if still inside the magitek) (no save) and to all creatures within a 15-ft.-radius spread (Reflex save DC 14 for half damage). A magitek destroyed this way cannot be repaired, but can be salvageable.
Magitek Operation At 1st level, a magitek pilot gains Magitek Operation and Evasive Action as bonus feats. In addition, Magitek Operation feat counts for Mounted Combat feat requirements as well as the Drive skill counts for Ride skill requirements for feats.
This ability replaces in or out of the saddle and steadfast mount.
Repair (SU) At 1st level, as a standard action, a magitek pilot can fix his magitek with a mere touch. The magitek pilot repairs 1d6 points of damage plus an additional 1d6 points of damage for every two chocobo knight levels after 1st (2d6 at 3rd, 3d6 at 5th, and so on). This ability stacks with the engineer’s repair ability. In addition, one use of Repair restores an item affected by the broken condition. The magitek pilot can repair a number of times per day equal to 3 + his Intelligence modifier.
This ability replaces commander’s aura, commander’s shout, and victor’s rally.
Knight’s Charge At 3rd level, a chocobo knight learns to make more accurate charge attacks while mounted. The chocobo knight receives a +4 bonus on melee attack rolls on a charge while mounted (instead of the normal +2). In addition, the chocobo knight does not suffer any penalty to his AC after making a charge attack while mounted.
Mounted Talent
MEasured Gait As long as the chocobo knight’s mount is being ridden by the chocobo knight, it can ignore difficult terrain while charging. At 10th level, the chocobo knight’s mount no longer needs to be charging to ignore difficult terrain.
Banner
Fleet Standard An ally who benefits from this standard increases her land speed by 5 feet and gains a +1 dodge bonus to AC during any round in which she moved at least 10 feet. This increase to land speed is an enhancement bonus. At 7th level and every five chocobo knight levels thereafter, the bonus to speed increases by 5 feet. At 14th level, an ally benefiting from this banner also gains a +2 morale bonus on Reflex saving throws against effects that target an area, such as fireball or breath weapons. When the chocobo knight waves this standard as a standard action, each ally within 60 feet can move up to her speed as an immediate action.

Description:
Mina has pale white skin with ivory colored horns and scales and silver white hair. She likes more revealing clothing when she is not piloting or working on equipment and when she is piloting she wears a suit of skin tight silk armor, a buckler,a short sword, and carries a machina pistol in case she has to dismount her armor.

Personality:
Mina has a healthy fascination about magitek, something to be expected as a magitek test pilot, and is fascinated with most aspects of technology. Unlike many obsessed with tech she has a far more personable personality being quite social with anyone unless there is some new tech to examine.

Outside of her techie side Mina enjoys parties and dancing (though she isn’t a professional by any stretch of the imagination) and knows where her limits are. She doesn’t use intoxicating substances as they impair her ability to think which drives her mad if it happens. Despite her sometimes fixated and oftend distracted nature Mina is very loyal to those she considers friends. Mina also has a rather vain streak and can be very put out when she fails to convince people she is right.

Background:
Mina was born in the city of Tesla to magitek researchers Soren and Misha. From a young age Mina was drawn to Magitek since she was surrounded by it growing up. Mina was quite sociable as a child, much like her mother, and as intelligent as her dad skipping a couple of years worth of education as a consequence.

Mina learned to pilot magitek armor when she was in her teens and became incredibly proficient in it. She was a natural and quickly decided to focus on piloting and testing equipment as opposed to making it since she lacked her father’s magical facility. When the troubles with the Last Crystal became prominent and the construction of the airship began Mina was fascinated by it and did what she could to help in the work as her parent’s assistants.

Mina piloted a suit of magitek armor that largely was used to move large loads of materials around. When it became time to finalize the airship and prepare to send it out into the world to find the remains of the other crystals Mina immediately volunteered. Not only did she know the airship incredibly well but she also was one of the few people qualified to pilot a suit of magitek armor. Where they were going magic to power it should be in abundance, or at least more available than their homeland, it was decided that sending available magitek armor would be wise and they had more suits than they did qualified pilots even if many of those suits needed refurbishing before they could be used. This has led to Mina having an important role both as an airship mechanic and one of the few able armor pilots.
