Looking forward to entering the Dark Archive and waiting for the FVTT version of the Blood Lords AP.

Hello Paizo Team,

I have sent several CS inquires per e-mail (Tickets 153785, 156739 and 157104) and am waiting for replies for between 2 and 8 weeks. My subscription cancellation was done timely, which I appreciate.
If there is a backlog that CS has to work through and response times are affected, I would appreciate a thread like we've had previously about the size of the backlog/expected response times. Generally I would appreciate open communication if there are waiting times involved, in any form, really.
Thank you for your hard work.

Hello!

I just noticed that on the Homepage, under Upcoming releases, several already available products are listed:

Pathfinder Adventure Path #146: Cult of Cinders (Age of Ashes 2 of 6)
Pathfinder Bestiary Pocket Edition
Pathfinder Core Rulebook Pocket Edition
Pathfinder Gamemastery Guide Pocket Edition
Pathfinder Adventure Path #163: Ruins of Gauntlight (Abomination Vaults 1 of 3)
Pathfinder Battles—Darklands Rising
Pathfinder Battles: Darklands Rising: Premium Set - Mengkare, Great Wyrm

Hope that this is the right forum for this.

Have a nice day!

Hello Customer Service,

Could you pause my subscription and delay shipping of Strength of Thousands Vol. 1 until next month?
I prefer getting a larger package next month to save on EU handling fees.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Customer Service!

First I have a question: Is it possible to delay shipping of a subscription item, so that more items are shipped together the month after?
I am guessing, with how subscriptions work, that I'd also only be billed and get the PDF the following month, when the volume(s) are shipped, right?

I am asking because of the new EU and Austrian VAT rules, which mean that I'll have to pay VAT on all Paizo packages now. In addition, the Austrian Post Office collects a handling fee per package for collecting the tax, which is what I'd like to minimise.

Therefore I'd also like you to forward, to whomever it concerns at Paizo:
If Paizo set up a scheme that allows EU customers to pay VAT directly when ordering from you (I think this is called IOSS/IMPORT ONE-STOP SHOP.), I'll be more likely in the long term to continue ordering physical Paizo products. (Because then I just pay the 20% VAT, which I am fine with, but no handling fees to the Post Office.)
Otherwise I'll probably go digital only after the current Star- and Pathfinder APs (Horizons and Strength of Thousands).

I know this might not be easy or possible, but I wanted to mention this.

Thanks in advance and have a nice day!

Hello Customer Service,

I'd like this month's subscription shipment to be shipped as as few parcels as possible, optimally just 1 not 5, because of some additional handling fees I'll have to pay in Austria starting July 1st.

I know that in the monthly thread you wrote that email would be faster, but I sent a lengthy email about this and a few other things a while back and received no reply yet. It must've slipped through some cybercracks.

I'll add the order number if the order is generated before you get back to me.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Customer Service,
Since the last volume of Agents of Edgewatch has been shipped, I'd now like to cancel my Pathfinder Adventure Path subscription. I was only interested in the AoE AP for now.
Thanks in advance!

I feel like the Sharpwing frame is pretty much inferior to the Skyspy?
The Skyspy has fast flight (than all FLIGHT frames!), better reflex saves and 1 more Aux slot. Which it can use for the cool aux stuff recon frames get. On the opposite side, the Sharpwing has one more Frame slot. I don't see any special flight frame aux stuff or abilities. They both cost the same and are the same size.
If the skyspy is supposed to be speedy, I'd expect a tradeoff nevertheless. Maybe frailty?
As is, the Sharpwing can mount one more weapon to its frame, which seems underwhelming to me. If it is supposed to be a flying armory I'd make it bulkier than the Skyspy, I guess. Be it through AC and saves or HP. Or give the flight frames some kind of upgrades that make them unique, e.g. flyby attacks.

Curious to see what others think.

Several mech abilities and weapons call out the use of swift actions.
Under Mech actions we are told:

Quote:

While at least one operator is controlling it, a mech can take one move action per turn and one reaction per round.

Operators can take a full action to pilot a mech, granting it an additional move action or standard action that turn (maximum six additional actions per turn).

From the CRB we know:

page 244 wrote:
You can use your standard action to perform either a move action or a swift action, if you wish, and you can also use your move action to perform a swift action.

So, do mechs not have swift actions unless they trade a move or standard action for one?

Because in that case all those swift action abilities and rules could just use move actions to reduce terminology...

Edit:
I guess an example could be useful. The Autospear gives following PP ability:

Quote:
Projectile Mode (1 PP) As a swift action, the mech reconfigures the autospear from a melee weapon into a ranged weapon that fires flechettes. In this form, the autospear loses the reach and thrown weapon special properties, and it gains the line weapon special property, a range of 100 feet, and a capacity of 5. The autospear’s other statistics do not change. The mech can reconfigure the autospear back into a melee weapon as a swift action or move action, which expends no additional Power Points.

And the ability uses a swift action to change the weapon, while the change back explicitely calls out swift AND move actions. To me it reads a bit as if this was supposed to allow the mech to change the weapon "on the fly", but RAW you need a move action anyway.

Hello!
Is there any way for me to know how much it will cost for me to ship an additional item with my subscription?
I'm interested in getting the "Starfinder Dice: The Threefold Conspiracy" and am trying to work out the cheapest option for me.
Since I am subscribed to the Starfinder Adventure Paths I hope that getting them here will be cheaper than directly from Q-Workshop.
Can I get an estimate how much shipping the dice and an AP volume would cost?
Thanks in advance!

Hello friendly Customer Service people,

I'd like to cancel my Pathfinder Adventure Path subscription after the end of Tyrant's Grasp. (And, should the order be generated by then, Pathfinder Adventure Path #145: Hellknight Hill (Age of Ashes 1 of 6) removed from the order.)

At the current time I'll likely check out PF2e digitally, but due to both not having a group who'd immediately want to play with 2e and financial reasons I am not interested in continuing my subscription for Age of Ashes.
Please leave my Starfinder subscription as is!

Thank you very much in advance!

Hello Customer Service,

I bought an Alien Archive 2 Pawn Box at a local game shop today (in Europe).
One of the pawns is missing, seems to have fallen out during production, but before packaging?
I do have the receipt, so should I sort this out with my shop?

Thanks in advance!

Last year saw the release of Die by writer Kieron Gillen and artist Stephanie Hans.
In a hurry it can be described as "goth jumanji" and tells the story of a group of adults who return to the rpg game they were spirited away to for two years as teens.

Thematically it obviously has a lot to say about RPGs, Fantasy and storytelling and an accompanying RPG will be released by Kieron Gillen after issue 5 (because the rules might spoil some of the story).
So, I'm curious what others here think about it!

Personally I'm a rather big fan of Gillen's writing and I was intrigued enough to subscribe for the digital issues (I usually buy comics in collected editions). The artwork is just gorgeous, Hans is simply amazing.

Hello,

I've recently been thinking of starting a blog, one I want to take at least semi-seriously.

Some context on what and why I want to blog, but not strictly necessary to answer me:

In particular, I keep thinking of, and partially designing a lot of RPG content. More then I get to GM. In addition, I am a science student with some access to research papers/articles, lectures by renown scientists and other cool stuff like this. And recently there have been a few things were I went "this sounds straight out of SciFi" or "this would be a cool name/basis for a concept in an adventure".
To motivate myself to finish more design/writing work AND to put some more science into SciFi (Especially Starfinder!), I thought a blog might be a good tool.

If you've read all of this:
Would RPG/Starfinder content which is a mix of game design stuff, writing (plot hooks, lore, etc.) with an addition of some background on the actual science I based my ideas on be interesting to you? To gauge interest? Of course the idea for the "science background" part would be too be easily understandable, hopefully even making people want to learn a bit more about things! Not actual scientific writing, which can be very, very dry... more pop-science. And of course, I am no expert in... well, most of science. So, I'd try to only include as much as I... actually understand.

I've tried looking into it a bit, and I am confused and not sure how to start. I don't think tumblr is necessarily the platform for me, but I am not sure how to start otherwise. Wordpress? Make a twitter/tumblr/paizo thread (is there an appropriate forum for something like this?) too and try to create at least a bit of buzz? (I'd be happy about 1 person saying "that's neat/cool!" about anything I write, honestly.)

Also, for the audience, would it be an absolutely no-go if I deviate from my theme a bit sometimes? E.g. write a review of movie I like, or a "my favourite X of the year" article.

I'm curious what other people think and have experience with.
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
I'd like to cancel my Pathfinder Adventure Path subscription since I am not particularly interested in the next one.
Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I'm going to allow fusions on unarmed strike and am not sure how to handle item level for them.
What do others think, should just level = item level be ok, both for installing and available fusion levels?

4 people marked this as FAQ candidate.

I have a question regarding augmentations and playable races that don't possess the system they are installed into.
E.g. Khizar explicitly don't have eyes. Should they be able to benefit from augmentations that are installed into the eyes system?
Should there be made a distinction based on item description? E.g. Retinal Reflectors that are installed behind a retina (which eyeless creatures don't possess) vs Darkvision Capacitators?
Or could a Khizar, that has no mouth, get a Vocal Modulator to have the ability to speak?

(Since this might come up in a game I as a GM might also suggest/allow using the Darkvision spell on the Khizar in encounters were its blindsight (life) is holding it back.)

I'm not a 100% sure how ability score increases and personal upgrades interact. Or if I overlooked something.
Is the personal upgrade "on top" of your ability score (as indicated by the character sheets having an "upgraded score" section)?
Or is it integrated (since I can't see any way to "remove" the upgrade either.)?

So, if I have a 14 in a score, get a personal upgrade and THEN want to put a ability score increase into it, what do I get?

E.g.:
Do I have
variant 1) 15+increase+(2) = 17+(2) = 19 (effectively)
or
variant 2) (15+2)+increase = 17+increase = 18

(Personally I'd think the increase goes on the base score and the upgrade is always "on top", variant 1.)

Hello!
Almost two weeks ago I sent the customer service an email about my Starfinder Core Rulebook from order 4355314. I understand you've been pretty slammed now, but I'd still like to make sure the mail wasn't overlooked. (The order number is in the subject line.)
Also, the binding loosened up a bit more since I wrote that mail (Inbetween the book was used for character building sessions and one playing session).

In addition I'd like to cancel my Starfinder Roleplaying Game subscription. Unfortunately right now it looks like the cost is too much for me and I'll just get the PDF.

Thanks in advance!

Hello!
Before the Starfinder subscriptions came online I preordered some things. Now I subscribed for the Starfinder subscriptions I'm interested in and the identical preordered items were cancelled. Worked like a charm!

But I have an item left in the original preorder since I am not interested in the Starfinder Flip-Map subscription.
My question now is:
How will the leftover Starfinder Flip-Mat: Basic Starfield in order 4216593 be shipped? Together with my subscriptions, or alone?
And the shipping cost in the order, is it just an old estimate? Because I'm pretty sure that's the shipping for the original order with all the items. Shipping for one Flip-Mat should be cheaper, Since I had Pathfinder Adventure Paths shipped for less.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,
due to financial reasons and moderate interest I'd like to cancel my Adventure Path subscription.

I also have a question about order 4206137, which is a Starfinder stuff preorder. In my excitement I might've jumped the gun. Now that I'm cancelling my adventure path subscription, do you need to adjust the order? I.e. remove the Pathfinder Advantage and change the shipping, since it's not being shipped with subscriptions items then. If yes, cheapest possible shipping please.
If it's easier the order can be cancelled and I'll just make a new preorder.
Thanks in advance!
