Same here. Thanks for running this, it was a fun adventure and one that i look forward to repeating some time in the future....Wow 11 encounters didnt realize we went thru so many.

Midri would be okay with going after her though hesitant due to low resources she has left.

Midri takes a look around taking stock of the rest of the group.

"I would be okay with trying, though i am nearly at my limit magic wise."

If the rest of the group is otherwise good I am down to try though are we in good enough shape to do so? I have only 1st level slots (3/5)
two of which would probably be castings of shield and then a grease to try to slow her down when she retreats.

Also how long would it take us to reach the real Arodeth death counting in the increased movement from haste?

I will be away from my computer most of tomorrow so if your just waiting for me feel free to bot both me and Xander.

Xander would go for full attacks whenever possible. Midri would attempt to give Xander a flank while still being able to attack.

Midri a this point would not use any of her spells minus a grease on the anchor if she tried to run away.

Im still trying to learn battlefield control spells in general mostly when to use them and when not to use them...

Normally id use grease on foes to try to knock a few out / block charge lanes but I cant see a ooze slime being able to be knocked prone so i went for create pit as the next best thing...

Should I have delayed and risked the ooze getting closer or?

Any advice/tips/tricks would be appreciated as I want to become a better player.

I have no issues with a delay for the entire party to move as once. As you said the time crunch is real.

Midri runs toward the woman Nodachi drawn and bring the blade down vertically hoping to split her from head to toe.

Midri lowers her hand that was mid drawing motion for her two handed Nodachi at Janes words.

Midri then mutters a few words under her breathe and after stretching out her hand sends it downward and a pit forms directly underneath the slimes

"I have alchemist fire and alkali flasks here on my bandolier. IF you dont have something to hit it with at range then take one of these and use it on the slime."

I have 4 alkali and 4 alchemist fires we can chuck at the slime. Sorry for the immediate battlefield control spell but I have bad luck with slimes, oozes, and swarms so I treat them as primary target when I see one

Midri will stand to side having only seen harrow cards once before meeting Jane and not wanting to interfere with Wadi who appears to know exactly what he is doing.

Seeing Odo healing Jane with but a touch will cause a grimace to form on her face and she will mutter a few words very quietly to herself that results in Xander unfurling a wing and knocking her to the ground.

Hearing Wadi's voice as Midri gets up, and looking at who he is pointing at "Sure, I have a feeling we will need to deal with all of these anchors before we can escape, and this one looks like having the most potential of going south so lets get it out of the way now."

Midri will tap Jane with her wand if Jane does not heal herself once she awakens from the paladins lay on hands, no walking wounded allowed here.

Midri carefully steps over a patch of low rubble can 5ft step? if not AoO is fine

The haste spell surges thru Midri and she brings the massive Nodachi down twice upon the skeleton.

Midri steps to the side and swings her Nodachi at the skeleton that charged her.

Midri eyes water from the smoke causing her strike to go wide and she struggles to clear her vision. She manages to overhear and understand what Jane shouts but is unable to see her due to her blurry vision from the smoke.

The blast shadow got a 14 the DC for the reflex save is 17 am I missing something (can he fly/hover?) if he can then I am suddenly very scared of that thing.

Midri looks at the skeletons hoping to gleam any weaknesses she may have read about in her studies.

Midri relays anything she remembers quickly before moving to the side and drawing her Nodachi before muttering a few words in draconic and then pulls her fist downward creating a pit underneath the skeletons.

Move action move to map location and draw weapon, Standard create pit at map location.

DC 17 reflex save for all three skeletons. The RED and WHITE skeletons get a +2 to their reflex save being on the edge of the pit. Pit is 30 feet deep and will last for six rounds. DC 25 climb to get out of the pit if they fall in.

Midri tries her hardest to keep her mouth shut but the sounds of fighting nearby cause her to reach for her weapon several times which undoubtedly ruin the peaceful intent she is trying to give off.

Midri will kneel before Xander tapping him with her wand of infernal healing (41 charges remain) as she stays kneeling before the massive beast it is evident silent communication is going on between the two before Midri smiles and rises giving Xander a quick chin scratch before voicing her opinion.

"I agree as well. My companion can fly, not burrow through the ground and im not positive our abilities to locate the vault will be fast enough."

Midri yells in draconic at the guards hoping that the perhaps understand that language.

"Flee you fools and you and your village will be spared if you continue to fight you pt your life in grave peril."

Midri then raises her Nodachi above her head a sad grimace on her face before her eyes harden and with a almost completely silent "I'm sorry" attempts to punch the guard with the pommel of her blade as she brings it down in an attempt to knock the guard out.

Midri quickly takes stock of her new surroundings as she gains her bearings and while the yelling is worrisome doubly so as she doesn't understand the language its in.

Knowledge History:: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21 Glancing around Midri quickly identifies the amount of trouble she is in as she is well versed in exactly how much damage the star stone did when it impacted Earth.

"The Star stone and about two hours till impact, we uhh are going to need to work fast if we want to get out of this as we do not want to be here when the star stone hits our location."

Taking a second look at the surrounding buildings both to see what she has to work with and to partly calm her down as she is on the verge of hyperventilating at the sight of the star stone so close.

Knowledge History:: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Midri can see the buildings designs and while they look familiar and she should be able to place them the threat of the star stone seems to cause her to lose concentration before she can deduce the local's heritage.

Midri will regain HP and Spell slots as she was fortunate enough to not have taken any ability damage.

HP Regain: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 so all of them.

and will regain 5 spell slots which is all of them I have used. (grease, mage armor, shield, and 2 for create pit.)

on a side not are any of our active duration buffs (Xanders mage armor for example) expired due to our shift in time or?

I'm all down to go to the next area (Midri would want to check out the sounds of fighting since she still has spells and is in good health.) but if the group wants to stay here I am cool with that as well. Anyone else have thoughts, opinions?

Midri steps forward her guard up after barely managing to avoid most of the priests return dagger swing and after a few seconds of feinting Midri see's an opening lunges with her Nodachi.

ahh got it so you would say 1d100 100 is hit and then see what it gets you, got it.

I'll do that for Midri's turn, (waiting to see what the melee characters do, as I am debating between moving to close and grease)

Im assuming there is a very simple solution to this but im not sure exactly how you roll for miss chance. Do you just roll a 1d100 labelled miss chance or?

About how long would it have taken to reach this point? Xander's shield would have lasted only 5 minuted which is why i ask.

Midri would have asked Odo to heal both her and Xander as she doesn't want to risk being half healed as they go through the temple.

I'm going to say its safe to assume for these checks that we cannot take 10 since there danger nearby.

Also say Midri has run out of skills to use is there a place where she can wait and take not take damage if someone else is still doing checks?

i have all the knowledge's but id rather not get the rest of the party sniped while spending round after round trying to get the number required for a successful addition. (since i cant seem roll above a 10 with Midri this campaign.)

How are we on combat resources, If each new area is lead by a combat encounter does everyone still have enough juice to remain viable, I personally do but I don't know about everyone else.

Midri will look around the group seeing if anyone has any ideas on their next move.

Midri will calm down and her eyes turn blue after she confirms the Slaugarks death as the lifeless corpse rises to the surface with the create pit spells end.

seeing Odo standing again will bring her great joy as she will make a point of smiling and giving the halfling paladin a hug before shaking her head in the negative at his offer of healing.

"You are most kind but I have my own wand I have been most looking forward to breaking in myself." Midri will show him her own wand of cure light wounds before headng over to Xander and then Midri will pull out her wand of infernal healing and spend three charges over two minutes to heal Xander 20 hp and herself 10 before returning both to their normal resting slots in her armor.

wand of infernal healing has 42 charges left. I'm assuming combat wont break out immediately but at the moment both Midri and Xander have fast healing 1 for 10 rounds

Midi does have the demonbane summoner trait that makes all my summons attacks count as cold iron....im very iffy/leaning on no however that the traits affects my eidolon...im currently looking through the database to see if any ruling is on it but i cant seem to find evidence going either way

does the Slaugrak not need to move up 5ft to not be in the chasm or because he is large size he doesnt need to move up?

so a bit more on what i did with the map

made a 2square by 2sqaure white square to represent the create pit spell (Dc17 reflex 6 rd duration)

Odo's old location was directly above Kuwabara's location and has been moved to his current location to represent Midri's efforts dragging him.

Im waiting to see the result of the create pit spell before i decide what to do with Xander's turn (he either 5ft's and full attacks if the Slaugrak makes his reflex save or he goes airborne (minimum fly skill check roll is 23 and goes in pursuit of the other trog around the corner (perception check?) Speed 40

Midri's face contorts with complete disbelief as the Halfling Paladin falls before her.

Rage she has not felt before fills her and her incisor cuts into her skin drawing blood from the sheer force that her clenched jaw is exerting.

Gathering arcane energy with her free hand Midri's eyes turn from their normal blue to a unsettling dark red. She points at the Slaugrak and extends a "thumbs down" gesture as a pit opens behind and beneath the creature. Midri with killing intent emanating from her growls out in Draconic "Your sentence is death foul creature, go to hell."

Create Pit spell cast as standard action. DC 17 reflex save to avoid falling in. DC 23 climb to get out. Lasts 6 rounds. (30ft falling distance)

I am placing the 10by10 square to the left of it one square (drawn on map hopefully) so that if it makes its reflex save its forced to move toward us (and thus in melee range)also next round it will need to make another Dc17 reflex save as its adjacent to the pit (+2 to the roll as its only adjacent)

Finally Midri moves toward Odo and begins to drag the unconscious halfling away from the fighting If that requires more then a move action let me know

The cold darkness climbs up toward Midri and she isnt able to shake it off before it seeps into her.

Midri's Neutral Nature negates the sickended and halves the damage (so 10 taken?)

Midri already on the back foot from the darkness clinging to her is forced to inhale and the stench immediately over powers her control leaving her sickened

Midri backpedal's furiously the troglodyte gets another AoO, if it can take one and reloads her crossbow waiting to use her spells when she can get more then one of the serpent creatures with them.
