Are there any homebrew Pathfinder classes for the Warmachine Warcaster? I've somewhat made my own version using the summoner as a base, but I'm not the best at this kind of stuff so I would appreciate any nudge in the right direction

I'm really early for Paizocon and would love to get my game on. If others are here and looking to play a game during the day, post here. I'm pretty content playing any RPG available (as a player).

I can GM a Pathfinder or Savage Worlds game as well.

If enough gamers respond we will need to pick a place, but we have the time: noon, Thursday June 9

Hi,
A few years ago a fellow gamer mentioned to me an alternate rules system for leveling up where character level maxed out at 6th level. I believe you then gained perks as you advanced, but it kept the 'power curve' pretty flat.

Is there anyone out there that has heard of this or knows where I could find more details about it. I've searched the web but not having any luck so far.

Thoughts? Would you allow an alchemist to qualify for prestige classes that require arcane spell casting ability?
I'm looking at a few of the PrC and an alchemist would be a fun fit for a few. Obviously the bombs and mutagens would not increase with the PrC levels, but could they possibly gain the +1 level to existing arcane spellcasting class for the purpose of determining formulae?
looking for feedback

Well, I just looked at a Black Dragon, Ancient at CR 16, and it looks like it would slaughter my 15HD eidolon, so I'm thinking a 15HD eidolon might be more like a CR 14 or 15.

I'm running a 'capture-the-flag' one shot encounter for five PCs who are making their own monsters based on the eidolon build for a 20th level summoner. Just looking for what a fair fight (what CR) would be.
I'm somewhat new to this so I'd appreciate any advice. As of now I'm going to go light (48,000 XP worth of monsters) on the party becuase I don't want to slaughter them, and if it's too easy I'll add the 'invisible' reinforcements.

Just got the APG and am loving it; Does anyone know when it is getting updated on PCgen? I GM multiple campaigns and I'd like to start making some NPCs/Pre-gens/Villans using PCgen because I can create them quick and easy.

5 people marked this as FAQ candidate. Staff response: no reply required.

I'm pretty sure I'm right but I got voted 7 against 1 by my PCs so I folded like a rookie, but I wasn't sure so I usually side with the players until I know

So the question: If a creature has DR 10/ evil, does a attack from an evil creature bypass this reduction just because it's evil? I thought it had to be a specifically aligned evil weapon from spell, sla, enhancement, etc...

I do understand that any weapon or attack that is equivalent to +5 or greater overcomes the alignment DR.
If anyone could answer Y/N for the following:

*Touch attack from evil creature? (i believe any touch by-passes DR)
*Natural attack from evil creature E.G. bite/claw etc?
*weapon attack from an evil creature?

Thanks

oh and one more thing, most of the other monsters that have the deeper darkness spell-like ability, specify under senses that they can see in all darkness including deeper darkness

I'm embarrassed as a GM I don't know this answer, but I need help so I'll just ask. The following situation is actually the first time this has come up in either of my campaigns. It's come up since we've been getting a feel for the new APG and the group thought it would be fun if I assigned a class from the APG to each of the six PCs. I have a Wizard 4/Witch 1, and a Sorcerer 4/Summoner 1. I'm confused on if the W/W can cast burning hands at CL 5, or if it's just CL 4 from the wiz and CL 1 if from the witch.

My question: If a character has multiple classes, specifically in spell-casting classes, how do you figure there Caster Level (CL)? Does it matter if the classes cast from the same spell list for example a Sorcerer 4/ Wizard 4. Since they have the same spell options to choose from would the CL be 8, or just 4?

My gut is telling me you treat the classes completely seperate and you have spells known, #/day, and CL independant. Any help is appreciated

I tried the search function and manually browsing, but I haven't found a stonelord conversion yet. I have a Pc who is dead set on the Stonelord and I wanted to see if anyone has any tips for converting them to PF. I don't think the 3.5 class looks all that appealing personally.
Any thoughts on if it should be modified prior to bringing it into my campaign? I am allowing it, so if your feedback is simply don't allow it, I'd prefer you held your opinions for a different post. thanks

OK, this word has gotten way out of hand, seriously. In no means do I support the 'power gamers' or cheesy players, but wow, if someone has a +1 longsword, then it's BAM "Munchkin!!!"

I know it's deserved about 50% of the time. I mean I just read a thread from a guy who says nobody can show him hard proof that 'being a lich is not allowed in the PF rules'... must ...resist..temptation..."munch..."
But to call munchkin on every rule you don't agree with, is a little, dare I say it, Munchkin-ish. Oh well, I just did it myself

I found the perfect miniature for how I envisioned my Eidolon. The miniature is the Pathfinder: Sinspawn, from Reaper. The long arms and claws represent the reach evolution well, and also has a gnarly looking jaw(I usually pick the Bite evolution as well).

Looking for some advice,

I have a PC who would like to select monkey grip as a feat for his fighter. I've been more on the conservative side when it comes to allowing outside material in my PF campaign, but when a PC has a request that doesn't seem overpowering than I try to be flexible.
I personally think the monkey grip concept is cool, and useful if you carry a shield. Because of the -2 on atk rolls, it seems like it is not too over-powered. Does anyone have any thoughts, or preferably experience GMing a PF game, where monkey grip was allowed?

I need help on the obvious and can't find the answer. For feats that state a requirement like with a specific fighter lvl ex: Greater Weapon Focus: 8th level fighter, Penetrating strike: 12th level fighter, etc... Can only an 8th, 12th level fighter select GWF, Penetrating Strike? It just doesn't feel right so I'm sure this has been discussed but I've tried searching for it in the messageboards and feel like I'm missing the obvious here.

My gut is telling me that the fighter level requirment just means that is the lvl required for a fighter to take it as a bonus feat. Can someone help out the slow guy?
