Hi Avelina! :)
"I am proud to bear both the flag of Mendev and the wayfinder of the Society. The Decemvirate knows they can call on me whenever a Pathfinder team needs some muscle when traveling into the Worldwound."
The man's gleaming golden plate armor, ornate, blunt-edged falchion, and magically radiant holy symbol of Sarenrae seem to clash with his physical features. His otherwise handsome face is horrifically divided evenly down the middle - while the right half of his face is unblemished and human, the left half is warped, demonic, and covered in scales. A single, leathery, batlike wing rests folded against his back.
A hound archon at his side nods silently at Sir Micah's words. Like the tiefling paladin, he too is tainted by demonic energies - a trained scholar of the planes would identify him as a fiendish hound archon.
Micah continues, "I have the utmost respect for the Inheritor and her faithful, but my devotion belongs to the church of the Dawnflower. Never have I, or my faithful ally Caniel, encountered a group more welcoming and willing to believe in redemption."

Indeed.
My Lamashtu worshiping PC won the favor of her CE god, by saving goblin babies, and raising them.
:) See? Who says we can't all get along? My half-demon paladin would find plenty of common ground there!
Of course he would probably object to the form of 'raising' you'd be doing, as he'd want to teach them more civilized values... but I digress!
"The towering, muscle-bound warrior before you stands nearly seven feet tall, wearing wickedly barbed spiked full-plate armor. A long, curling horn arcs from the left side of his deformed, scaled temple, and his left hand is as gnarled and twisted as his face. The right side of his body remains human, as though someone cleaved a man in twain and stitched a demon to the piece which remained. A massive two-handed sword is slung across his back, and brimstone smolders in his mouth as be belches a blast of fire at an enemy. At his side, a savage wolf the size of a horse stands, snarling, its fur a charred and sickening ash-gray color. To those who know the forms of extraplanar beings, it is clear that this wolf, like its master, has been tainted with demonic energies."
Ninth level paladin, no multiclassing.
My paladin in PFS is possibly going to have a level of ABYSSAL Bloodrager as his newly-earned 9th level.
This is a very, very interesting thread for Paladins like me who can cast scorching ray...
There's a player at my lodge who consistently is confused at how a Tiefling can be a paladin, much less a demon-spawned one. His reaction pleases me - it should be what people in-game feel about him as well.

The Beard wrote: You have received a mission from Sheila Heidmarch; she made no mention of hostiles. It's at that point you realize you are going to die. Direct in-character quote:
"Yes, Sheila Heidmarch said we were just here to deliver a note and shouldn't expect hostilities. That's why we've arrived fully clad in armor and with our swords drawn."

This sinister looking warrior clutches a gigantic two-handed blade and wears thick plates of jagged armor. The left half of his body is twisted and deformed by demonic features, leaving no doubt of his origins as a foul tiefling spawned from the darkest pits of the Abyss. A tall and curving horn arcs upward from his left temple, its twin conspicuously absent from his human-like right side. His single fiendish eye glints with a loathsome light as he opens his twisted mouth to speak...
"Hi, everyone! I'm Sir Micah! Well, not 'Sir' quite yet, but I'm getting there! Sarenrae doesn't exactly have knighthoods, you see, and I had to abandon my training as a squire to start learning to be a paladin. But I'm looking into knightly orders who will let me get some training in on my off-days, and I'm sure I can get credit for good deeds done in the field, after all!" The bright-faced young man happily introduces himself to everyone in the party, making them feel at home around him.
Later on, during the mission...
The tiefling paladin dangles the captured thief off a rooftop by his ankle. "I'LL ASK YOU AGAIN, CRIMINAL SCUM. WHERE ARE THE OTHER DRUGS GOING?" His voice seems to echo with an abyssal darkness as he shouts, hand on the hilt of his sword.
The cowardly rogue stammers, "N-no! Don't kill me! I'll tell you, just put me down! They're being sent to a warehouse near the docks! Please, let me go!"
Micah sets the young man down and kneels beside him. "See? Wasn't that much easier? I'm sorry I had to threaten you, but we really did need to know where that shipment was going. We're going to turn you over to the authorities now, but I want you to promise you're going to obey the laws from now on." He suddenly glares at the man, whispering close into his ear. "OR ELSE."

Certainly! What about it did you like? I'm glad you thought it was an interesting backstory.
Micah is probably my most interesting character. He's got quite a distinct look - he takes "half-demon" very literally. The left half of his body is scaled and demonic, while the right half is human, split right down the middle. When he was born, his parents threw him into the river, terrified of the "cursed child" they had wrought, and buried an empty casket to claim their child was stillborn. His basket was found by a ranger who lived alone in the woods, who raised the infant demon-spawn as his own son, knowing the tiefling would never survive in civilization.
When his father passed away, Micah found his way into human society, where he was run out of towns, turned away from inns, and feared for his terrifying appearance. He finally found his way to a temple of Sarenrae, where he met the first people since his adoptive father to welcome him with open arms. He learned the teachings of the Dawnflower, and in time, heard the call to become one of her paladins. He still struggles with the dark urges common to all tieflings, but he knows that with his goddess at his side, he will remain strong and overcome his darker half.
He uses a blunt-edged sword in combat to spare the lives of his foes when he can, but he will use the cutting edge on its reverse side if he must. In all his adventures, I've still managed to avoid slaying a single humanoid. The only things he has actually killed are two evil dragons.

My own path as a Paladin of Sarenrae has been a rough one indeed. While I am one many would call a "monster" for the demonic blood in my veins, I strive to redeem not only myself, but all creatures who can be turned to the cause of righteousness. I spare the lives of all those I can, in the hopes that I can set an example for them, and turn them to the path of light.
Despite this, I have fought too many evils to remain blind to that which cannot be redeemed. If it is necessary to save the lives of the innocent, I will take life. But as a last resort, only. It is with a heavy heart that I deal the killing blow to any opponent (save for fiends and their ilk, who merely are reborn in the hellish planes when so "slain"), but I do so for the good of that which I protect.
Take heart, fellow paladin. You are not alone in your struggle. Commune with your god, and meditate upon how you will walk your own path. The life of a Paladin is never easy - but that is why it is worthwhile. Our struggle is to protect that which must never fall.
Faith and strength, friend.
