Hello, my name is MetaphoricDragon, and I can't seem to break from Chaotic Neutral.
Intros aside, at the urging of some friends, and some nostalgia to my Living Greyhawk days, I've been convinced to join Pathfinder Society. I decided on a Dwarf Cleric of Torag, and I'm one game in so far, but I'm not sure where I'm taking this character, and I would like some advise,
I chose Dwarf, because hey, I like 'em, I chose Cleric because I'd been watchign way too much Transformers Prime and was inspired by Ratchet, with a dash of Star Trek's Dr. McCoy.
Stat wise, If people want to know is:
STR: 14
DEX: 10
CON: 16
INT: 10
WIS: 16
CHA: 12
My first problem has been personality, as I mentioned above, Chaotic Neutral has always been my bread and butter, so I have a real hard time settling into Neutral Good. The backstory in my head was to have a veteran Soldier and field medic that was healed after being down and out due to a bad accident, and found himself blessed with fledgling divine power (he doesn't no why and doesn't plan on asking) He is still Curmudgeony, but I'm hard pressed to break Chaotic.
I'm also not sure what role I want him to be. My last long term D&D game, I played a bard, I had a blast out of combat, but in combat I was bored to tears. So I want something definitely more proactive than buff bot, but I'm also constantly worried about running out of spells mid module, so I hold them until it is too late. I'm not quite sure if I want t go a full warrior-priest either, I'm not quite sure how that pans out, but I don't want to sacrifice support either given where I drew inspiration from.
So, I'm open to any advice people can offer so I can find this character a niche that will be fun for me.
