This order was recently combined with another order of mine (#3939306). I believe that order, which was made on April 22, 2016, is Path of War Expanded -- which has been back-ordered since that time.

Is there any way that you can ship my order without waiting for this product (Path of War Expanded)? Heck, at this point, I would rather have a refund for PoWE since it's status has not changed since April.

Thanks for the sample character Ragi!

Out of curiosity, would a collection of akashic NPCs similar to what we did with psionic characters for Psionics Embodied be something people would be interested in?

I was planning an akashic campaign after my current one so it would be useful...

I would totally love a book of Akashic NPCs!!!

Oh. Right.

Yeah. Technology Guide, Arcforge... these things will likely be used together.

I'm gonna have to read up on the tech guide aren't I?

Wouldn't hurt ;)

We're going to ensure that you have all the materials you need to use Arcforge included in the book, but it might not hurt to be familiar with the Technology Guide since Arcforge does have materials intended to be used side by side with those in TG.

So, Ssalarn, will the new Arcforge: Technology Expanded book have something similar to the Technomancer PrC that utilizes psionic powers (particularly as a power source) instead of arcane spells ? I would be very interested in something like that-

I haven't read the submission for Book of Heroic Races: Advanced Elans that closely yet. I'll take a look at it and let you know if there is anything in there. And if not, I'll ask the author if he can add something on this topic.

;)

...um, do we have an ETA for this? :-)

I would SOOOOOO love a Pathfinder version of the Black Company sourcebook!

Here something that most DON'T do and should:

Spend three to six months BEFORE you start your Kickstarter talking about the Kickstarter and getting people excited. While three to six months will be a LONG time, it will people the time to talk about, spread and get other people interested in your Kickstarter. Often overlooked but very important.

I'm a big supporter of kickstarters, but this kind of thing is likely to irritate me and mean ill support something else.

It might be a good strategy overall (who can say?) but it's not universally positive in its effect.

Totally agree with you here Steve. I've been burned by a few Kickstarters -- some of which got a lot of press.

I understand that this might be important from a publisher's standpoint. However, Scott and DaveMage's initial posts make me, as a KS backer, more inclined to support those publisher's who follow those guidelines.

Any news on this yet? I was hoping it would be released by now (for those of us who backed the The Lost City of Barakus kickstarter)...

To the best of my knowledge, still on track for a July release.

I also turned in the last files for the sequel, Fields of Blood, earlier this week, so that's completely done from end and waiting for the Frog team to work their green magic.

Most excellent :)

Question: according to the update on KS, persons who purchased DoD via Backerkit as hardcover were supposed to get the PDF as well sent out a few days after the closing of Backerkit. Well, I did, and haven't seen any e-mail yet regarding DoD. I got my pdf's of Barakus & the Player's guide; I kinda figured they'd be in that batch of mails. Any ideas?

Same here Changing Man. If you scroll up to my earlier inquiry, it looks like they anticipated a release on June 7th, but I don't think that happened (as it is now almost July).

TBH, I probably wouldn't have backed the LCoB. The main reason I did was to get the Dunes of Desolation pdf early...

Pre order this book on backerkit if you bought the Barakus kickstarter! Should have the survey out this week!

How soon after the survey will the product be available (for those of us who backed the kickstarter)?

Was this being released today?

This also leads to a problem I've seen for the past three years in the descriptions: a lack of information as to what a player needs. When it says "materials provided", its not clear if the GM means 'characters provided' or not.

Yeah, what exactly does "materials provided" mean? Thanks for bringing that up Radiarch Eklesya.

Unless I already missed it, any word on when this Psionic Bestiary is coming out?

I think you're on to something Shadewest. That would explain, Silent, Still, Heighten, and Quicken. Now that I look at it, its pretty obvious. However, I can't figure out why Empower Spell would earn 3 defiler points and not two (as it uses up a spell slot two levels higher). They same goes for Extend (2 defiler points, but uses up a spell slot 1 level higher) and Maximize (4 defiler points, but uses up a spell slot 3 levels higher).

Hmmm...

Sczarni

Hi everybody. I haven't posted much here, but I need some help. For years, my group and I played 3rd/3.5 edition D&D. Two years ago we switched to 4th edition. Recently, we all got a bit burnt out and decided to switch to Pathfinder

However, we were still pretty excited about Dark Sun and we want to continue playing in the Dark Sun campaign but we went to use the Pathfinder rules. I was able to find the rules on defiler magic in Dragon Magazine 315 and we really like them.

Basically, the Dragan article suggests a point system whenever a character uses defiler magic. When a character uses defiling magic, they can apply a free metamagic effect to a spell the moment it is cast. However, when doing so, they earn defiler points. Gaining defiler ponts causes a negative reaction to the character, defiles the land around the character, and if a character gains so many points, they could end up an undead defiler. The article provides a table with how many defiler points a charcter earns with each metamagic effect. Here's part of the table:

Make Spell Silent … 1 defiler point
Make Spell Still … 1 defiler point
Make Spell Heightened … 1 defiler point per level
Make Spell Empowered … 3 defiler points
Make Spell Extended … 2 defiler points
Make Spell Quickened … 4 defiler points
Make Spell Maximized … 4 defiler points

So my question is how many defiler points should a character earn for the other metamagic feats listed in the Pathfinder Core Rulebook and the Advanced Player's Guide? It appears that a character earns more defiler points for using certain metamagic feats and less for others. My understanding of the 3.5 rules is a little rusty, but I'm assuming they did this as some metamagic feats are more powerful than others(?)

Anyway, I would like some help to determine how many points a character would earn for a Widened Spell and an Enlarged Spell. Also, we plan on using the Advanced Players Guide. So, if anybody has any suggestions for assigned defiler points to those metamagic feats (specifically Bouncing, Dazing, Disruptive, Ectoplasmic, Elemental, Focused, Intensified, Lingering, Merciful, Persistent, Reach, Selective, Sickening, and Thundering) I would greatly appreciate it.

Again, thanks for the help :)

Thanks!

I'm wondering if somebody (Thanis Kartaleon?) would be kind enough to update this list? With the conclusion of Paizo's license to produce Dragon and Dungeon magazines effective September 2007, I chose to receive back issues of Dragon and Dungeon in place of my excess subscription issues.

In addition to the awesome adventures in Dungeon, I'm trying to figure out which Campaign Workbook articles sound the most intersting. Any help is greatly appreciated.
