Etymology of Valashmai / Valashinaz

I always love digging into the real-world meanings of names to give hints about traits or background lore, but Valash(-mai/-inaz) is giving me some trouble.
The "inaz" makes me think proto Indo-European, but the -mai ending makes me think Hindi.

I was just wondering if anyone else had thoughts or knew for sure.
