I've been doing my 'reviews' under GM discussion. I suppose I could go through them and rewrite them for non-spoilery goodness.

What I'm saying is just: making yourself heard is always good... For me GM Discussion threads are good too. Just that, some of these threads have less posts than this one, which might suggest that not everyone's posting there. Maybe players get shy to thread the holy grounds of DMs :)

Hello to all of you "eaters" :)

As one would expect, by now a lot of mods have been DMed and played. Yet, I see very few comments being posted under the PFS scenarios "Product Reviews" or "Product Discussion" threads. I believe it would be of great help to both Josh and the authors to know what you liked and didn't like about the various mods. The more feedback, the better. Seeing how constructive feedback seems to helps the PF APs, I'm sure good stuff could come out it in PFS too...

I could certainly post my original proposal... but I'd rather have Josh's official OK before doing so.

Josh?

Hi Neil,

First off, I must say I’m deeply sorry for you and your friends and I sincerely hope this bad experience won’t taint too lastingly your outlook on PFS or lead to a full rejection of PFS… I already feel bad enough as it is…

Yes, I can see how Perils of the Pirate Pact could be a killer to a group of level 1, especially one with only 4 PCs… and no cleric… But then again, maybe not so much more then many of the other tier 1-3 scenarios.

The important point here is that--as I’m sure we can all agree--first level groups are on a world of their own, an probably deserve tailored adventures. I do believe this is what the hinted GenCon linked adventures will be about--that and presenting the setting to any newcomers. Isn’t it the “PFS One-Page-Sheet” that talks about “a beginner series launching soon”?

The way I see it, this is also a side effect of the Organized Play framework where the self-evident need for uniformity and consistency restricts DMs and scenario authors alike from tailoring adventures to a given group the way one could in home campaign games (though, even there, attitudes and modus operandi vary.)

Hi there Neil,

The way I see it, the webs in the shrine where made by both the ettercaps and their spider friends. They might have once been transparent, but time and dust have long since given these tangles a quite noticeable macabre look fitting a shrine of the Demon Lord of Vermin. Quoting the boxed text: "Thick layers of sagging webs choke the room from floor to ceiling" or "Beyond the mass of tangles..." or "Gruesome carcasses and human-sized cocoons dangle from ghastly strands."

So, to answer your question:
1. Yes and no.
2. No
3. No

Good luck with tonight's game. Looking how you prepared for it, I have no doubt you're going to grand slam that one :)
Also, if you find time, please let me know how it went. I'm very interested in hearing how that scenario plays out.

Cheers,

/Matthieu
