alright, looks like this game is full for now. Thanks everybody for the responses!

Am I in?

Signed up, the name is Kyle. Looking forward to being able to play!

Looking for a Pathfinder RPG PbP game. Looking for something to post in once or twice a day. Wanting role playing as much as roll playing. Not a really fast game but a slow game.

Male Human Soldier (Intelligence) 4

Welcome back! If round 2 is completed, can we start seeing results of the goblins attacks? Also, are we ready for round 3?

With Greater Grappling, which allows me to maintain a grapple with a move action instead of a standard action, would I be able to perform a flurry of blows? With flurry of blows, as a full attack action, I can take a 5 foot step which is a move action. If I did not take this 5-foot step I was thinking this would count as the feat's move action requirement for maintaining the grapple and allow me to perform my flurry of blows.

Thanks!

I assume its not available for organized play?

Would I be allowed to take this feat for my monk at rank 2 if he is male and Andoran? I'm double checking but seeing the special, it appears to be available to all monks at this rate.

Hamatulatsu (Local)
Source Pathfinder Campaign Setting 83

You have mastered a deadly fighting form inspired by the varying attacks of the barbed devil. You seek not just to defeat or kill your opponent but to first cripple him with memorable, scarring pain.

Prerequisites: Intimidate 2 ranks, Improved Unarmed Strike, female, raised by the Sisters of the Golden Erinyes.

Benefit: Each round, your unarmed attacks may be treated as bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage. You decide which type of damage you deal, but you may only choose one type at a time. In addition, for each consecutive round that you change the type of damage selected from the previous round, the threat range of your unarmed attack increases by 1, to a maximum of 16–20/x2 after 5 rounds. If you succeed in confirming a critical hit, the threat range of your attacks resets to normal and you may further make Intimidate check as an immediate action to attempt to demoralize your opponent.

Special: Hamatulatsu may be selected as a substitute bonus feat at 2nd level by a monk even if the monk does not otherwise meet the prerequisites. Hamatulatsu does not stack with Improved Critical.

Full attack action. Power attacking with a cleave if applicable. This is my second round action, I go last on the turn roster.

Attack 1
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Damage 1
2d6 + 11 ⇒ (4, 6) + 11 = 21
1d6 ⇒ 3
Attack 2
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage 2
2d6 + 11 ⇒ (5, 6) + 11 = 22
1d6 ⇒ 5
Cleave
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Cleave Damage
2d6 + 11 ⇒ (3, 5) + 11 = 19
1d6 ⇒ 5

Having leapt into the fray, Markus swung the greatsword with his hands in powerful arcs and flung the goblins around like ragdolls. "Step right up!" He let out a resounding warcry, "First come, first served; meet your maker you filthy runts!"

Male Human Soldier (Intelligence) 4

Bump! We're rockin' n' a rollin' like a wagon wheel...

Male Human Soldier (Intelligence) 4

Move into range, utilze Power Attack with Cleave if applicable with Greatsword to take out the first Goblin and a second Goblin. If Cleave is not applicable, ignore second attack/damage. Taking out Goblins!

Attack
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25

Damage
2d6 + 11 ⇒ (6, 2) + 11 = 19

Cleave
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28

Cleave Damage
2d6 + 11 ⇒ (1, 2) + 11 = 14

Male Human Soldier (Intelligence) 4

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Male Human Soldier (Intelligence) 4

"Then lets just take the battle to them," Markus said calmly, his hand squeezing onto the handle of his sword anxiously.

Male Human Soldier (Intelligence) 4

"Goblins, you say?" Aside from the single one he had spied, he saw little more and murmured, elbowing Grent. "Why do I get the feeling there may be more than a rag-tag band of goblins around the bend somewhere...?" His mouth quirked aside and he glanced along the wall to the others; from Bane to Mundriel to Straehan to Widfen to Dumpling to Jonin... He pivoted the greatsword and licked his lips, putting a foot up on the wall to get a better look.

"Come hell or high water, this wall will not be overtaken-- who's with me?"

Male Human Soldier (Intelligence) 4

Markus quietly follows behind Grent to the south wall but slows to the pace of the monk, eyeing him a moment before joining the others. With the identification of a goblin in the distance, he takes a hard look out.

Perception
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

The equipment he carried was settled down against the wall, relieving himself of the weight and taking up his helm and greatsworn in which he rested across his shoulder. The shield and longsword lay nearby though he kept his quiver and longbow on his person.

Grent Ungol wrote:

"Straight lines and latrines, the entry exam for any new soldier. Ain't that the truth." Seeing a new victim for his back-slapping, he gives Markus a hearty thump. "And another military man! That's just great, just great." He throws his arm around Markus in a show of camraderie. "C'mon, lad, let's go make our introductions and see about some orders, eh? Just like being back in the service all over again!" Grent keeps his arm around Markus, practically frog-marching him over to the medal-bedecked officer.

Upon reaching the commanding officer, Grent throws out his chest, gives a salute, and begins speaking in a bellow. "Honored to be working under your command, Sah! I am former Corporal and working chaplain of the Fifth Liberation Unit, specifically assigned to Riddleport, the Kodar Mountains, and other vicinities of Varisia, Sah! Requesting orders to begin the defense, Sah!"

Markus only grinned as he found the comraderie to be like a wave of ease that washed over a tense situation. "Good tae see a good man around," the Andoran said with a grin becoming of his lips and he welcomingly marched up to the medal-chested individual. From the looks of it, they would not be suffering from the "too many kings, not enough knights" issue that sometimes plagued a militia... Or any organization.

"The name's Markus Freeman," he spoke, saluting the officer. "Ready to serve, on leave from an Honor Guard detail in the capital."

Male Human Soldier (Intelligence) 4

The Andoran native steps up as formation was called and Markus joined the rank and file, alongside Bane appearing as a well disciplined soldier. He carried a sword and shield across his lap with a longbow and quiver. Settled before him he leaned on a large, heavy sword. He was well armored and with his helm sitting on the hilt of the sword, the light haired weathered soldier with stormy eyes looked ahead as he awaited instruction. He had just arrived and was already falling into the harmony of a structured, organized militia he was so used to. He appeared a strong and hardy man who was quiet at the moment.

There is a similar thread in the forums and i'll try to hep here too.

If using 3.0,3.5 rules there are feats(two-weapon pounce, double strike, two-weapon attack of opportunity and some others) that allow you to use your off-hand attack in the same round you use your main.Think that by not using the off-hand weapon in the same round as main (situations like charge or the standard action)is like a two-handed weapon fighter does 3/5 dmg with his greatsword

If not then you have to use the full attack action to get the attacks from your off-hand weapon.

On the first topic. Yes you can rend with double weapons. To be even more specific you just need one attack from your main and one attack from your off-hand to hit to get the rend effect. These attacks dont have to be consecutive.

Read this :http://www.d20pfsrd.com/extras/pathfinder-faq#TOC-Two-Weapon-Rend-5-1-10-

Any chance Pathfinder may incorporate such feats to support two-weapon fighting? I like the flavor of TWF but it seems inferior to a 2HW. Also, what are the sources of those feats for 3.0/3.5?

For 6th Level characters what are we allowed for Gold/Magical Items/Etc? By the book? Writing up Markus' stats.

You have to be using the full attack action in order to take any additional attacks with your off-hand weapon, yes.

Thank you.

Alizor wrote:
Any off-hand attack would qualify. So yes, this would include double weapons as well as two separate weapons.

I had one additional question: in PFRPG, do offhand attacks from two-weapon fighting require you to perform a full attack action?

Two-Weapon Rend Feat wrote:

Two-Weapon Rend (Combat)

Striking with both of your weapons simultaneously, you can use them to deliver devastating wounds.
Prerequisites: Dex 17, Double Slice, Improved Two-Weapon Fighting, Two-Weapon Fighting, base attack bonus +11.
Benefit: If you hit an opponent with both your primary hand and your off-hand weapon, you deal an additional 1d10 points of damage plus 1-1/2 times your Strength modifier. You can only deal this additional damage once each round.

When using a double weapon, such as a two-bladed sword for two-weapon fighting utilize the feat listed above, does the weapon qualify for the feat's ability? I need an official PFS ruling because I am torn between flavor and mechanics.

Human Fighter

An Andoran freedom fighter, Markus Freeman, is your standard rank and file soldier. He's been stationed on the western Cheliax border to defend against raids by the tyrant nation and has served as an Honor Guard in Almas. Having several seasons of soldiering under his belt ranging from the Five Kings Mountains to the north to the southern coast, he knows the land decently well. Relieved from duty for a season to tend to personal affairs, he meets the band of adventurers...
