Well we had our first session of Carrion Crown last week and I have to say it, from a GM perspective it went really well.

Players
Level 1 Human Wizard - Evocation specialist (who passed DC 25 every time about the Prison and its guests), so the party is a little concerned that this young nice seeming man is some sort of serial killer fan.

Level 1 Human Fighter - A gruff old soldier who has seen many battles.

Level 1 Dhampire Gunslinger - outcast daughter of a noble house, she hides her condition (although not from the party) and dislikes Vampires who she blames for her present situation

(Not going to put too much in here about the things I have planned for them as I know at least two of the players read the boards)

The players for the sake of ease have all spent some time working as a party with the Professor and romped through the first few sections. Thanks to some awesome rolls, they found out a great deal about the situation in town without having to do any research, which of course has lead the others to worry about how the Wizard knows so much about the Prison, the Whispering Way and the prisoners...

However, before the venture into Harrowstone they want to explore the town (today's session) so lots of opportunities for fun and creepy goings on.

THe players seem to be enjoying it, with one already saying it feels like a game of CoC :)

I know that there is an undead book coming out in a few months, is there anything else out there that discusses Lichs in any detail?

(Is looking at Carion Crown and thinking about the potential for extra foes as filler adventures)

Hi all

I'm playing Kingmaker at the moment, and our enemies have sent a Wraith to kill us.

We are a lev 6 Ranger, Summoner, Witch and I'm a level 6 Wizard. I'm new to D20 and Paizo and was wondering what the best way to deal with it was, as I'm drawing a blank.

currently it seems only my wand of magic missile can hurt it...

Evening/Afternoon/Morning all

I've been rping for a long time and my group are going to start Kingmaker. i've decided to bite the bullet and play a Wizard, focusing on Necromancy (just feels right) on a 20pt buy. i've had a read through the forums and seen lots of advice here and there, but was wondering if anyone could help me with what they thought lev 1 should look like.

My backstory is that my character (male) is the last scion of a once noble house. His family is gone, destroyed by politics and a few "accidents" thanks to the attentions of other nobles. My character is likely to be lawful neutral, possibley lawful evil.

My character only escaped assassination when the house fell as he was such a minor figure that few even recalled that he had been sent away for schooling. While quite young, (early 20s), he was always nimble, using sleight of hand to win friends, performing tricks...

His motivation for Kingmaker is that he has no desire to be the power on the throne, or even behind it, but he knows he is being hunted and wants someone to protect him. his focus is necromancy because he feels at peace with the dead. They do nto judge him, or berate him for his failures. Instead they simply follow his commands....

Well I've just started running Crimson Throne.
The party is an "interesting one", and I know at least one player lurks here (Hello ZombieNeighbour).

The players stormed through the Fishery session and have met the Queen and are en route to see the Field Marshall.

The group consists off;-

Human Rogue - A poisoner by trade who works for the king of Spiders. She is rather attractive and knows a thing or two about interacting with nobility. She is likely multiclassing at level two in a Cleric of Blackfingers.

Human Barbarian - A Varisian native, driven by the pain and rage he has felt from his outcast status. A former thug working for Lamm, he is now seeking employment and a criminal empire to work for.

Human Monk LN- A native Varisian, trained by a wondering Tien monk, she was a former Lamm's Lamb and ran away. She was told to return to Korvosa to help deal with her past. Now that has been resolved quicker then anticpated, she is looking for something to do.

1/2 Orc Druid - Possibley, the player is not sure if they will keep this character and so more when I know about it.

So far all seems to be going well, the group have met the King of Spiders and are staying with thge Rogue. They have agreed in principle to pay lodgings for his protection, with a possible eye of at least the Barbarian working for him. Long term at least the Rogue and Barbarian want to set up their own criminal faction...

Looks like Korvosa will not know what hit it...
