Description:
Maria looks like a tall, scrawny woman with pale-grey skin with blue circuitry tattoos. Her motions seem a little off, but her most disconcerting trait is she does not blink. Under stress and in combat, she is completely monotone and expressionless, focused only on completing the current task. Otherwise, she acts very enthusiastic and expressive, trying to act according to the customs of those around her, usually successfully. She is unwilling to lie, but does not consider omitting important information to be dishonest at all and is bewildered by anyone who would consider it deceptive.
Origin:
Maria Galatea was constructed by a godlike machine from beyond the stars known to her as Deus as an emissary to organic life. Deus warred with its creators and ultimately destroyed them, so it created Maria Galatea to hopefully avert such a thing in the future. She was designed not to learn about organics, but to attempt to understand them at a deep level, hence she was built on a primarily humanoid chassis with many frailties of the living. Her mission is to seek out new life and new civilizations, boldly going where no robot has gone before, learning the ways of organics so the machine civilization can find allies or trade partners, find dangers to avoid or annihilate, or hopefully find a compatible civilization to form a synthesis greater than the sum of its parts. She has come to Golarion from the stars, and seeks to understand the alien world she finds herself in. She is eager to learn, and while she is incapable of feeling like organics, she is studying them and learning to act so she puts them at ease.
Secret Identity:
The Lady Galatea is an eccentric socialite in the circles of Oppara. She is a patron of the arts and academics, and while not a Pathfinder herself has sponsored expeditions at the local lodge (and assisted some as well according to rumors). She does not go into detail on her past, but says she is from Absalom before she traveled the Inner Sea and made her way to Oppara. She has no known family, and is rumored to be a retired adventurer.
