History:

During the time of chaos following the death of Aroden, House Ratarion made the decision to quietly support House Thrune in a bid to unite the country and end the wars. The gambit paid off when Abrogail I, Infernal Majestrix of Cheliax, took the throne with her infernal allies and united the country once again. House Ratarion, along with other nobles who supported Thrune's rise to power left their family homes in Westcrown for new homes and positions in Egorian. 61 years later young Marcellano is born to the Ratarion family. Despite supporting House Thrune, House Ratarion only ever wanted peace and order in Cheliax. Marcellano's parents and grandparents were content with the state of the nation, but even as a child he often questioned the logic of peace through force. His parents feeling he needed discipline, sent him to Citadel Demain to serve as a squire to the Hellknights. The gamble paid off. Marcel grew to admire the knights of The Order of the Scourge and their drive to eliminate the criminal element in society. Under their tutelage he became a skilled swordsman and was eventually named an official Armiger to the Order of the Scourge. While he was cleaning the library one late night he came across a recently filed rumor report of a large scale criminal organization hiding within Westcrown. His curiosity peaked, he requested Lictor Toulon Vidoc to let him leave for a short vacation to visit his old familial holdings in Westcrown, with the plans to investigate the supposed thieves' guild. It was his hope to uncover this den of evil and eradicate them, thus allowing him to advance to the rank of Hellknight and maybe give him enough pull to become a Paralictor. Lictor Toulon Vidoc, granted him his leave and so he set out for the city of his ancestors, Westcrown.

Appearance:

Marcellano "Marcel" Ratarion stands 6'1" tall and weighs in at 195 lbs. He has currently shaved his hair but previously possessed reddish brown hair worn in the current style of Egorian youth (low bowl cut). Eyes are a shade of hazel and are often commented as his most interesting feature by the few women he has attempted to court. His other features are unremarkable save for his face, throat and chest which bear the scars from a near lethal spar with a Lemure. Because of the scars and the lack of a proper cleric's healing magic, Marcel's voice is very low and gravely, which he has grown to like due to its edge in intimidation.
