M Human (Oeridian) Fixer

"Yeah, I think they lost a son. She's been upset for a while."

"Probably. Although, a number of people could be the heavy and choose not to, for whatever reasons. I'm not sure they would be as willing to help you if you just beat someone up. Even if he is a bit of a bastard, he's still in here with all of us."

He laughs at your mention of the halfling. "Good luck."

"Planning an escape? Well count me in. I've worked on a few scenarios, yes. None of them seem very realistic."

"Boldo could be pretty useful, but I'd say at least 4 people in this room could pummel him by themselves pretty easily. I think some people have just given up and let it happen. I don't really see him as a threat."

"Well, friend, you've asked the right person. It's my business to know who is who anywhere, and I've made a good name for myself. In Greyhawk I'm what is known as a "fixer." Need someone to break into a house? I know people who break into houses. Need someone to buy something you've stolen? I know people who buy stolen things. I know a lot about this sort of thing, so it didn't take me long to figure out who was who down here."

"Come, let's sit against my part of the wall and I'll tell you all about them."

He sits down and makes room for you to do the same.

"Okay. The elf over there is named Mialee. I think she's a spellcaster because of the way she moves her hands sometimes, but I'm not certain. The trio of goblins huddled up over there are Felkin, Rizmaz, and Greebax. Felkin seems to be their leader, and is some sort of holy figure. Those two are Arakk and Aziz. Arakk is a nobleman or a sage from the City, depending on who asks. Aziz is a traveling merchant from Ket and priest of Mouqol. I like them. They're good people. The halfling there hasn't said a word to anybody the entire time we've been here. That makes me nervous. The creepy guy in the corner singing that cheerful song is Boldo. I think he's used to being locked up because he has the tattoos of a Sczarni. He quickly established himself as "the guy in charge." Not that he does anything for anyone but steal their food. The elf right there is Quarion. He's a woodsman of some sort. I'm sure you'd get along with him just fine. Then there's Gus the half-orc. Believe it or not, but I think he's a paladin. The woman and child are named Elvessa and Tinen. He's only 8, and scared to death. He saw the woman with ghoul fever die. Not sure he'll get over that. The two soldiers there are Annor and Nevin. They were guards in the caravan. I think most of the others died. They seem a little disappointed that they failed at their job. And finally the family there is Telam, his wife Ela, and their daughters Sari and Eya. Sari is 13 and Eya is 5. I think their son was killed by ghouls. They keep to themselves. I think that's everyone."

"I've been better, I guess. I'm still alive, but I don't know how long I've gotta stay in this damned dungeon. Good to see you too, Hedrick. When I didn't see you after the attack I assumed you were dead."

"So, ghoul fever? Yeah I think someone died from that. Luckily they got them out before they came back and ate us all. Doesn't make much sense to have ghouls kill the people you're trying to capture as slaves, though, huh?"

Wintershaven? Never heard of it. But then again, I don't get away from Greyhawk much. Just up and down this old River Road when the need arises, and sometimes out to Dyvers. At least you're willing to talk. I haven't had much luck with anyone else in the caravan. I'm Malkus...say, do those militia men look a little...off...to you?
