They cannot harm innocents now that they are in your care." She prepares to take their spoils back to the lodge. Can we search them, or is that verboten once they are in the guard's custody?

Mai pats Itra on the shoulder. "Stay down for a moment. We will heal you more soon." Samara nods approval to Rook. "This halfling should go nowhere. I will look for more potions to heal us." She rifles through the gear of the fallen and passes any potions found to Itra.

If Larkin drops, Mai takes a quick 5' step to K3 to flank for Rook, and Samara goes to L3 to threaten Halli Berri.

Round 1: The delicate elf is alarmed by the ruckus. "Friends are hurt! This is a thing that should not happen." Rapier in hand, she dashes forward through the fray, ducking and dodging. Double move to L2 using acrobatics through squares H3-L2. Should be 12 squares of movement exactly. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Seeing the others attacking, Mai springs forward to attack D'Andre. "If this be a test, guard yourselves. We will not hold back. Best to surrender now." Move to J3 and temple sword attack, 2-handed, vs D'Andre's flat-footed.

Can we put Plod near the back? I'm not sure who is leading him, but surely we don't all want to walk behind the mule. If Meows doesn't join us, Samara can go at C3, probably near either Passio or Eddie. Samara mutters something to Eddie. Elven:
"Giving away treasure is bad policy for treasure hunters. It is a thing that makes no sense." I can't find anything in the history that shows Samara spotted any of these ne'er-do-wells, so she can't act in the surprise round.

As Mai hesitates to touch anything proffered by the Paracountess, Samara slips forward and lightly takes the jingling pouch. She gives a little shrug, not meeting anyone's eyes. "Rewards are things that are good." Stashing the pouch, she hurries to the door. "Obeying the Venture Captain, that is what we must do now." Mai nods and follows Samara without a backward glance.

Mai stares at Zartra for a moment, then at the letter opener. She lays the silver blade across her sleeve, handle first, and offers it to the Chelaxian with a bow. "Thank you for the loan of silver, Paracountess. I am not certain any of us will have time to return tonight, and this is far too precious for us to keep."

"Give us that, devil!" Mai scowls at the imp and grabs at the box. CMB to disarm, full bonus because Mai is armed. I'd steal, but disarm is required for something held. Go figure. If CMB succeeds, I choose the box to be dropped. CMB to disarm: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Ignoring the playthings in the room, Mai cautiously approaches the imp on the opposite side from Itra and displays the silver letter opener. "Look, you know what this is and there are a lot of us here. Give us the little box and we'll leave, no harm to you," she says reasonably, though without much hope that the thing will respond favorably. Move to D2 and ready a strike at the imp should it try anything nasty. Speech as a free, no attempt at diplomacy or intimidation.

"We must hurry, Pathfinders," Mai says, suiting her pace to her words, trotting through the streets toward the south, from the Wise Quarter to the Ivy, "The day is aging and we have not yet completed our missions. Fortunately, the Ivy District is not far." Though Mai keeps her eyes open for surly halflings or angry-looking women, her haste makes her careless. Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
