Lucina made a tsk sound, as the drow open fired. Fine. I guess we do this the hard way. She flew up and towards the one in the back and struck him with her talon.
Lucina's eyeroll was visible, even as a bird, as Bronwyn chastised the warforged. As if she's the only one who got hurt in that fall. However, when Bronwyn attempted to enter negotiations with the natives, she refocused on the issue at hand. She watched the drow closely, trying to see how they were reacting to Bronwyn's plea.
Lucina squawked in surprise as the stairs began to give way. Her instinct was to move quickly to grab at the nearest person's shirt, but she was neither fast enough or strong enough to stop anyone from fall. Instead she turned her eyes towards the natives. Fearing a volley may be coming she flew towards any cover she could see.
Lucina glanced once more at the shrouded figures, lurking on the upper level and somehow doubted they were friendly. However, perhaps there was not enough certainty to jump straight to hostility. Instead she circled the party and quietly observed the figures while the others planned.
Lucina let out a squawk and flew to Vi. She continued to squawk loudly and with a clear, but incomprehensible, sense of urgency, as she alternated between facing Vi and the pillars on the upper level. For goodness sake! Open your eyes people!
Lucina groaned inwardly at the sight of Muroni, "Did they bring her or did she just warp here somehow? Either way, Lucina was increasingly regretting bringing her along. Shaking her head, she flew above Vi and tried to scout out the area for traps and hazards, ready to squawk in warning.
Lucina pecked at Vi, indicating that it was time for them to move and began to lead the rogue back to the others. Upon seeing the bodies upon the pyramid entrance she frowned. Were the drow defending it?
Lucina continued her rapid flight to where Vi was hiding, slowing down only slightly as she felt the heat from the backdraft of the explosions. Once she reached her destination, she landed near the rogue with her usual ungraceful plop. She stared Vi down for a moment, almost as if inspecting her for damage. Finally, she let out a quiet squawk and nudged her head in the direction of Bronwyn and the others. Her wings twitched as if ready to take off again.
Lucina saw the armed men were on alert, but Vi was nowhere to be seen. She scanned the sky with her eagle eyes. There! She saw Vi hiding under the skiff. She's probably stuck. Can't leave without being fired on. Lucina began flying in closer.
"Yes. Just burn it!" Lucina shouted back, as her voice grew more distance as she continued to get further away, "Just stop wasting time and come!"
Lucina twisted around as she heard the sounds of combat. Not waiting for the others, she turned into an eagle and took off towards the boat.
Action 1:The wizard nodded slowly, "It may not be a bad idea. But what happens if a larger bird in this jungle decides that you're easy food? Then the both of you will be in trouble." "Then I obliterate it with my powerful druidic magic!" Lucina replied, sounding almost offended. However, deep down she knew she had a point. Who knew what kind of predators resided in this jungle. Breathing deeply, she said. "Okay. Whatever. So what's the plan then? Has she been too long? Are we all going over there? Or are we just going to try to get Squeak to airlift her out of there?" Lucina thought for a moment and added, "If we didn't want them to follow, I could make the jungle around them grow wild and difficult to move through. Forever. If there's too many to fight, it would make it difficult for them follow us or get help. But, if there is not that many of them, maybe it would be best to just take them out."
"Perhaps I should just fly over and see if she's in trouble?" Lucina asked, "I could turn into a really small bird. I doubt I'd blow her cover..."
"We should definitely give her some time, before blowing her cover. If a fight breaks out, we may be able to hear it from here." Lucina pondered aloud, trying to calm her own nerves.
Bronwyn's nose wrinkled, "Ewwww. Why would anyone sneeze on another person? Were they raised by monkeys? It may not deserve a decapitation but I wouldn't object to some sort of punishment." Lucina glared at Bronwyn. "Good god. Do you really want to encourage them?" Bronwyn watched anxiously from the riverboat as Vi made her way to the airship. She couldn't see the changeling and she didn't like them being so far away. "How quickly can we get to her if she needs our help? Maybe we shouldn't have waited. Do we even know how she's going to signal us?" Lucina scratched at her arm nervously. "No. We didn't discuss it enough. I should have gone too. I could have watched from the skies."

Lucina gave Palisade and appraising look and shook her head, "No. I don't think we can sneak up on them as a group. Vi, do you think you could get close enough and sabotage the ship? They might not notice until they tried to leave. Or are there too many of them for you to get away without being seen?" She considered, "I could spot check you from the skies as a bird...but I'd be of no use trying to do anything to that contraption."
Lucina also appeared annoyed by the incessant drums. "Right." She said in agreement with Bronwyn. "How long does this ceremony last?"
Lucina looked mildly interested when he described the clawed fauna. "So the greater threat is the wildlife...Elaborate on these unusual specimen...er...please..."

Lucina did as she always did on these long trips. She found a quiet space to read. However, this time sometime was distracting her. Muroni and her damn notebook. What is she writing about us? Is it notes on our weakness for our enemies...or is she really a prophet. Does she know something about our future but isn't telling us? After spending far too long re-reading the same page, again and again. Lucina finally slammed her book shut and approached Muroni. "What do you keep writing down!" she demanded. She looked to the others, "I think if she is taking notes on us, we deserve to know what she is writing!"

Lucina frowned at the river boat captain. She was itching to be on the road and was tiring of playing the negotiation game. "I'm sure that neither we nor you wish to waste any time. So, why don't you tell us what an acceptable offer would be. If you absolutely will not, direct us to someone who will and we will leave you be." she said frankly to the man.
Great. Another chase." Lucina sighed, as the others inquired after an airship. Hopefully this one can stay in the air.
Lucina attempted to contain an eye roll that jewelry was such a powerful motivator. Why do so many people obsess over the most frivolous things. Sighing, she said, "...Alright, let's just get this over with."
Lucina kept quiet and did her best to not look grumpy or suspicious. This was not an easy task, especially since she was finding the 'prophet' and her notebook to be an irritating addition. Everytime Muroni would begin writing something down, she would instinctively glance over to the book and try to glimpse at the notes, eyeing the woman suspiciously the whole time.
"I don't really like it either." Lucina responded, "But whether she is an enemy or just a liability, either way it might be safer to keep her where we can keep an eye on her, instead of letting her do, whatever the hell it is that she's trying to do, in hiding..." Other that that, Lucina just nodded in confirmation of everything that they had found. "We should move quickly. It sounds like we are already losing this race..."
Lucina gave Bronwyn a rare nod of approval. That is probably the most sensible way to handle this. If she is determined to come, we may as well keep an eye on her...but we should guard our secrets and our mission as much as we can. "Speaking of our mission...we really shouldn't delay much longer. We should gather what we have learned." She gives a side eye to Muroni, "Privately. Of course. Then plan our next move..."
"Fire wielder? Why do you call Bronwyn that? ...And what do you know of the rest of us?" Lucina asked somewhat accusatorially. That was too specific for her to be some random crazy lady or quick buck scammer. She has information about us...that narrows things down to legitimate prophecy...or spy...
Lucina frowned at the woman, unsure what to make of this sudden proposal. Could be a scam. Could be a crazy. Could be a spy...Not sure if we should be allowing audience members on this mission. Giving Vi a nod, she turned to scope out the area.
"Uh...Right. Okay." Lucina said, as Vi dragged her off into the city. As the rogue struck up a fake conversation, Lucina gave Vi a nervous look. She knows how bad I am at stuff like this, right?. However, she let out a sigh of relief, when Vi looked to the vendor for a response, instead of her. Best to stay quiet... she thought, as she turned her stare to the merchant.
Lucina just shrugged. "Getting supplies and maps makes sense. But we should be careful about asking too many questions. It could get back to the wrong people..." She said, trailing off as Bronwyn bounded towards the street performers. She let out a deep sigh. "Ugh...Let me see if I can't find some good maps..." She grumbled as she moved towards the markets.
"So..." Lucina began to ask the others. "What is our plan here? Is it even worth trying to find the emerald claw here? Or should we go straight for the ruins since we know that is where they will end up?"

Lucina nodded in agreement with Palisade. "Any discussion that involves the death or capture of anyone on this beach is not a discussion we are willing to have. If you do not wish further conflict, I suggest you start considering other alternatives." Lucina quickly realized they were probably not going to understand that. Sighing, she reiterated. "We not give up our people. If you don't want violence, new deal or go away."
Lucina's expression darkened, as she was all but ready to tell them to go to hell, but had enough restraint to see if the others could talk them down. Still, she stood at the ready and began contemplating spells she would inflict upon the fools if they were not willing to see reason.
Lucina approached behind Palisade somewhat cautiously. If things turned violent, she would be ready to help. However, she did not want to make herself prominent, since people tended to inherently distrust her and she did not wish to make diplomatic efforts more difficult than they already were.
Lucina, who had been drying off, became alert when the Sahuagin approached the gnomes. She got closer, trying to understand what was being said.
"I might try to dry off for a while. I've never shifted more than one before. I could try it...I do feel like I have gotten stronger lately...but I am sure it would leave me pretty exhausted for the day." Lucina remarked as she freed herself from Vi. "But perhaps its for the better for me to stay here. Clearly my eyes work better on the land." How did I miss that shark coming! she chastised herself silently.
Lucina just sighed and didn't fight against the hug. "Just don't do it again..." she said quietly with uncharacteristically vulnerable tone.
Lucina swam towards the boarding area and quickly realized she could not climb up with no arms. Slowly she shrank back into her normal human form and reboarded, now soaking wet. Her eyes dark she walked up to Vi and demanded, "What the hell were you thinking? You could have gotten us both killed!" She breathed deeply. Clearly she was frustrated, but there was something more to it. She had been worried.
Lucina winced as the shark tore into Vi violently. This was what she had expected. Still, the woman was lashing back viciously. The only way to survive was to kill this thing or at least hurt it enough that it would deem the group of them not worth the effort. Or is this more than just a meal? she wondered, as she considered the shark's unusually aggressive behavior. Still, there was no more time for hesitation. Lucina lunged fang first towards the creature with unexpected power.
Lucina turned in shock as the shark snuck up on them. However, her surprise turned into full horror as she saw Vi swim towards the creature. Is she mad? That thing will eat her for breakfast. She froze in indecision for a moment. She knew she should flee. Damnit! She thought as she cast a spell creating a pulsating black ray between herself and the shark and swam in closer to try and flank with Vi. If I die, I am going to haunt every house you ever live in VI Olaro!
Lucina swam out to a net and began gnawing on it. Ugh. This is going to take a while. She thought to herself, completely oblivious to both Vi's attempt to mouth the word shark and the creature itself.
