Possessed of a lanky, wiry frame and in excellent physical condition, Louis is not blessed with a particularly handsome countenance - long-faced, thin-lipped, and weak-chinned.
Louis is generally amiable, and he loves to learn about the customs and cultures of other peoples. Whenever given the opportunity he always try to pick up some of the language of any crewmembers he serves with, and of the locals when in port. He's aided in this endeavor by his prized possession, an electric dictaphone, with which he records samples of conversation to be played back for study at his leisure.
