Lotio Eramo Castovel is a Cheliaxian, from Egorian, born of low statues the only way for Lotio to progress in life was to join the church. Lotio did not find the teaching hard to learn, for him it was natural. He studied hard and soon became quite able at summoning creatures from the lower planes. Lotio has always been a man of secrets and shadows, those who would oppose the will of his lord would find their friends turn against them before being knifed in the back at some time during the night. Being at the heart of the faith, no one would question Lotio’s actions. Lotio was an acolyte at the Midnight Temple; his main duty was to collect sacrifices for his lord. The rest of time Lotio would spend making sure that the inhabitants of Egorian would remain strong at faith, discreetly dealing with those who would waiver.
When Lotio was promoted to Priest of Asmodeus, he travelled to Magnimar to spread the word of his lord there. Soon he learned of the animosity between the people of Magnimar and the people of Korvosa. He spent his time between the two, slowly building a cult following in the two cities. One day he heard of the Breaching Festival held at the Academe of Korvosa. Lotio had always been able to reach anything he had wished for, and his master Asmodeus, was a god of magic, surely the festival would prove not only the might of Asmodeus and his devout follower but also serve as a great way to gain some needed funds. After all, running a secret cult in Korvosa and one in Magnimar were expensive.
