Description:
Dark-haired very petite female would look like a human child if not for the physical scars of one born into chelaxian servitude and unusual burn pattern . Her eyes are windows into how the world really is; innocence long ago lost but surprisingly no bitterness. Rather plain looking, it is not her looks that draw your attention but the confidence of her step. She is not sure of her age much less the date of her birth, but estimates herself around 30 years. Minus the undead, this is how I pictured her.
Personality: Freedom and luxury are for those with perservance and opportunity. She will get hers and she has a plan, life's tribulations notwithstanding. Slavery is a fact of life, the chains favor no one. Ironically she is proud of her Chelexian roots.

Background::
Originally a slaved Halfling, her servitude assigned to repair the sails onshore at a Cheliaxian sailloft. The proprietor tasked with providing onboard expertise, sold her to a Chelaxian privateer. She labored in cramped unventilated quarters repairing the large canvas sails as these wore out or experienced tears. Occasionally, she was sent aloft to patch unfurled sails. One such time the Chelaxian privateer was attempting to outrun a storm which tore numerous sails. She was sent up in those dire conditions, pelted by the storm’s fury, doing what she could knowing staying aloft might mean quick death; failure or retreat would be met with slow torturous death. She persevered. Storm-lashed(ISWG) That is until the mast was struck by lightning, rendering her unconscious with burnt flesh spider webbing her body. There she hung tied by her safety line; the crew counted her as a minor loss and made no attempt under the circumstances to retrieve her. After the storm’s passage was when the Shackled Halfling pirates came upon the disabled Chelaxian privateer. The sight of an apparently dead female Halfling hung from the yard-arm only stoked their fury.
Discovered alive, she recovered her health under the ministrations of her new crew. Earning her place among them with her sail making craft, she gladly signed on gradually discovering an awakened new power Stormborn surging through her veins. To better learn to control and focus her energies, she purchased tutoring from a couple of free-lancing sorcerers at the most recent port of call, Port Peril. The second sorceror spoke in his preferred Polygot, by this time she knew enough polygot to get into trouble, soon she counted this as another of her starting languages. After a few months with new found confidence, feeling she had accomplished all she could under their mentorship and considered herself a "Sorceror." She toasted herself at the closest waterfront tavern, the Formidably Maiden. Alas, her weakness for butter rum did her in with nary a suspicion.

Answer these questions five::

1.What set of circumstances found you in Port Peril at a tavern having a lively drink anyway? Celebrating her pride and confidence mastering her sorcerer abilities, awaiting to hire on to the next Halfling captained vessel.
2.Are you the type who struggles against his chains as they are being put on or waits for an opportune moment to murder the jailer? Never again! Does one chain the wind? Do the waves show mercy if you've stumbled? No! A calm sea will flood a ship just as well as a tempest. The struggle never ceases.
3.How do you see your character developing mechanically? Storywise? Her sailcrafting and innate affinity with storms make her a useful addition to any crew; however she wants more than that. She knows if she were to captain a vessel, she could return a few favors owed to the Chelaxians.
4.Be ye a dirty scoundrel who would sell his mothers soul fer a farthing and a pint o' rum or be ye some heroic type who be thinking himself better 'n 'is fellow black hearted bastard? The world is full of enough black-hearted and heroic souls depending on your view; both are cut from the same cloth. I aim to take out a few on both sides of the spectrum.
5.THAR BE VOIKINGS OFF THE STARBOARD BOWWW!!! What do you do?
Now thar be a fun furious sailor folk with fast boats. To a person, they love storms almost more than me. Hail them of course!

Projected progression:

Lorn plans to emphasize her ability as a sorcerer, but with the big people constantly bullying her, she might learn some unarmed combat techniques (Monk preferred/unarmed fighter 2nd choice) to really take advantage of her imbue shock ability coupled with flurry of fists and her resistance to electricity.
