Here is to discuss, Otherworldly OOC

Please also post a link to you character, thank you

The Hollarian Assembly convened under yours and the other observer's watchful eye. At the head of the assembly sat in a massive throne like chair, Iantanis, the Speaker for the house, responsible for house decorum, behaviour and agenda taps his staff lightly on the floor, bringing the meeting to order. Iantanis with his brown hirsute beard and youthful vigour stood in contrast to most of the room.

“Here ye Here ye the 15631st assembly of the wise men and women of hollaria have assembled , in this time of emergency to discuss measures concerning the unexplained event and its consequences”

Iantanis bows his head and many other people do as he says a prayer to Ioun, before beginning the council . By tradition the council was separated based on personal philosophy on the use of magic into the white, grey and black hats. But you are quite surprised by the number of black hats, Blackguards all of them who are present. Most assemblies are dominated by the white hats, the adherents of Ioun and Melora, and Pelor but not this one.

Everyone hushes as the session begins.

A fortnight ago an unidentified object fell from the heavens, We have reason to believe it is of an otherworldly nature, not just from the stars but from beyond them . Furthermore those of us trained in the ancient arts of enchanting are noticing changes in the firmament of magic that has stood still for aeons of age. A select few with magical sight, say a strange new star burns in the heavens now, looking down balefully at us. We must react, We must maintain our position, We must investigate both the rock, and the danger to magic itself, and we are here to discuss why.

The Oldest Member of the court, a winkled homely looking woman, stood as is tradition. Mad Yaga is what she called herself but her motherly looking face stood in stark contrast to her black hat. “The Aperture from which the heavenly body moved is still open, the problems with the magic you have noticed is not from a change to magic but rather from a change in the firmament itself. As we speak our very essence is being consumed by this aperture, the foul star you seek is but the gaze of whatever lays beyond it. The Aperture must me...”

Mad yaga, the villain of a thousand horror stories was interrupted by Kal the white, a priest of pelor and one of the blessed few vampires that through his intense devotion to Pelor has redeemed himself to the sun, and no longer fears it. Kal interjects derisively, “ Your talk of apertures is mere black hat tomfoolery, the object fell, and it is dangerous. The object broke up as it hit the atmosphere spraying the world with its strange shards. First and foremost we must recover this strange stone, before it can harm anyone , and contain it.

The thunder of half the assembly clapping and tapping staffs and wands crowded out even the Speaker of the house. It seemed all but decided when a thunderclap from the middle of the chamber, from the entrance as a new person, a young lady walked in. Magically projecting her voice, the little sound filled the air, “We must not let political considerations determine our course of action, Both of you are right, although I doubt either of you would admit it, We must also not forget political considerations, It will take considerible effort to both tract down the shards, many of which fell outside our borders, and to investigate both the aperture and the ancient wards that we must ensure stand for the good of all.”

Iantanis stands, welcoming the girl with open hands, before introducing her to the assembly, “Gwenifer, my daughter, and council member” to polite applause from everyone. The assemblies newest member, a brash girl in appearance but with mixed heritage. Taking her stole and hat, a dirty used grey from the looks of it, he goes and sits beside the speaker. The Assembly bustles into action , talk of teleportation circles and astrolabes and politics fill the air. Slowly the Notaries, the meritocratic will of the Assembly, starts clearing out the stands, with tasks, invoices, work orders, and sheer tenacity. The Assembly will be discussing many things for a long time, and it was time to get things done, rather than watch old farts dither they seemed to like to say.

You are a recent graduate of the Hollaria Academy, A Martial and Magical Institution dedicated to training Hollaria's best. Eventually a notary groups you with a few other former classmates, friends , others you barely know tells you to work out what you can do best to help the situation, and tells you that they expect you to report with a plan, the following morning early.

Kal's Tasks
Shards from the Unidentified Object need recovery,
Shards outside of the nation need to be dealt with quietly

Gwenifer's Task
Other Nations need to be placated about both the “event”, and Hollaria's Reaction to it.

Mad Yaga's Task
Research needs to be done concerning the nature of the object and the aperture.
The Ancient Crypts, Graveyards, and Sepulchre's of Hollaria, need to be checked

A bit about Hollaria,

Hollaria is known for being a magistracy, and is sandwiched between the volcanic highlands and the Eastern Sea. Running for a hundred miles along the east coast of the peninsula, Hollaria is naturally isolated by the mountains to the west, the seas to the East and South and the thick forest to the north.

Hollaria is built upon the ruins of a much older Eladrin city, who's survivors have been accepted and absorbed into the population.

To the west and covering the rest of the peninsula are the badlands, a collection of high altitudes, poor soil , and a lack of natural resources including water, makes life difficult west of hollaria. Nomadic Tribes of human and monstrous origin are all that manage to survive there. Humans from these lands sometime come to hollaria, either as mercenaries or slaves and are referred to as barbarians.

To the North the Confederacy, a collection of Dwarf Holds, and Elvish Tribes live in loose alliance. The High Mountains and Thick Forest make the land inhospitable for anyone else.

To the South and East lay the Islands, over 1000 have been charted , mostly uninhabited, but Eastern Sailor's of strange language and customs routinely come to trade with hollaria. They are humanoids who meticulously hide their faces and their institutions from anyone who would be interested. It is rumoured that past the sea, they have a homeland ten times larger than the badlands full of walled towns and strange sights. Shrewd and not particularly moral , the eastern folk are reviled but are an important part of hollaria's survival.

Hollaria itself consists of some Ten Thousand citizens along with twice as many Slaves, barbarians, and children. The Population is strongly human and Eladrin. Hollaria maintains two colonies, to the south-east and north-west, known as World'send and Mounts'guard. Which respectively feed and fuel hollaria.

Hello Everyone,

I am interested in Running a DnD 4th Edition Play by Post game here , at paizo. I would Ideally get a group of 4-5 interested players able to post once a business day.

Information:

Location: Paizo Message Boards
System: Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition
Setting: Default 4th Edition (Points of Light, Using the PHB Dieties)
Character Creation:

Any level 1 character from the PHB. Stats are 16,14,13,12,11,10.

Background, The Magical City State and Academy of Hollaria is in turmoil. Recently an unidentified entity has pierced the magical boundaries between existences and is slowly unbalancing centuries of political and magical checks and balances. As some of the brightest, the most trustworthy, and the most reliable men and women of Hollaria, it is your responsibility along with those of your peers to Fight for Hollaria, Restore the balance to magic and the world, and ensure Hollaria's success in the future. Each character should have a position already at Hollaria appropiate to adventureing and be ready to step on up to serve hollaria.

Emphasis, The emphasis in the game will be on the narrative and not tactical mini wargaming. (we don't have a tabletop sorry) Some extra 'house' rules will be made to speed up combats (Things Like Autoflanking, etc). This will change the balance of power a bit between the classes and that's okay with me.

If you have questions feel free to post, thank you for your consideration.

Hey Everyone,

I'm looking to start a low key, 4th edition game here at paizo.

Not looking to convert or teach anyone really.

Books = phb

Setting: Standard Heroic Fantasy (bit more tolkien but no mary sue elves or anything)

I appreciate a strong posting ethic and a fast paced game, with a focus on playing the game rather than drama.

give a shout out

L

I see a more "civilized" nation from a godly distance away having bankrolled and started the expedition into the lost jungels of moil. The jungels themselves are absolutely horrid places to be, the insects and disease run rampant amongst the aboriginals, and amongst any settlement that is not careful to burn the pungent bush that repels the insects that carry it. The reason your nation is interested in the area is quite simple, Gold and Diamonds and lots of them. Further south and lost to the unknown paths of the godless heathens are the stinking grounds, fetid and rotten smelling plain marshes that harbour nuggets of gold the size of a man's fist for the taking. To the west are a series of bunttes and hills full of twisting and winding tunnels that have produced the biggest gem ever known on the first and only day of production as mines. To the east is the jungle full of strange plants and animals of unknown properties. Plants and animals the mages guild back home will pay handsomely for.

Have I mentioned this has been tried before? Some 40 odd years before,
The swelling of the sea subsides as you close upon shore. The three vessels, the logos, the nebakanezer, and the gnosis spotted land a day ago after the nearly month and ahalf of monotony on the inner seas.

The tension is measurible. Gear is being readied, cranes, ropes, and gang planks checked. The sailors you are sure will be just as glad to get this bunch of landlubbers off their ship, but at least those awful first weeks are finished. only a few mind odd movements of the ship on a wind swept sea anymore.

The three ships drop sail as signals are passed too and fro, eventrually the captain, a squat man with little to say about the current expedition comes up to you and the two other team leads and asks, "Where do you want to be dropped?" taking you to the head of the ship you see the beach sitting tauntingly ahead of you, seemingly close but all of 50 miles long. The the west the thickest parts of the jungle loom menacingly. A triple canopy so thick that light never reaches the bottom teams with life, unknown and unfriendingly. To the east the highland Buttes, small rounded mountains sitting inhospitably. You hear a few sailors, joking about how it looks like a women on her back just waiting for an enterprising fella to come along and domesticate her, before slapping on of you on the back... laughing and walking away saying..."Crazy mothers all of them"

The captain waits for your decision, your supplies down below. The two other heads , a dark teifling, leading a team of teiflings who hasn't said two words to you since you set sail and a gruff dwarf who isn't much better. Both of them shuffle their feet, obviously waiting for someone, you to speak first.

(DM VOICE) You are facing south, to the left is the mountainish region that is rumored to have diamonds, in the center is the huge area of beaches, marsh, and flood plains that are the only areas where the boats can be safely unloaded. To the right is the jungle proper, thick and menacing you know thatlong before any of you had taken up adventuring a previous colony was attempted. All went well for the summer but as the rain that passes for their winter descended contact was lost. No one has ever been able to find the remains of that original settlement, nor the nearly constructed keep that was going to be masterpiece of defence there. No maps besides those that have been drawn from the sea ever made it back to your nation of Abadar. You know that nation and church both rely on your sucessful taming of the godless land and heathens within (the nation is Abadaria and the religion is Abadara, God Abadar)

The Church is unaligned, althought emphasis is put on orderly conduct as their one true god dictates. The Duke rules by divine right and everyone must act to their station and life, lest chaos and anarchy rule supreme and god withdraw his protection

Mules 8 gp x 6 = 48 gp

Hey Everyone, This is the begining and discussion thread for my sandbox game. I have 4 players i believe, so if you could all, pick your pregen and state a preference for direction I will begin.

Hey Everyone,

Life is slowly sorting itself out, and as such with some free time I've decided to give a Play by Post here a shot.

I'm looking for 4-6 players who don't mind using pregens and tooling arround at level 1-2-3 for a while until i actually recieve my books. Perferably able to post 1/weekday but a 3-4 times over the entire week (ie 2/workweek and 1/weekend is acceptable, 3/weekend is not).

I as a Dm will post at least once per weekday barring exceptional circumstances

Character creation will consist of selection of either a Keep on the Shadowfeel pregen or a DnDXP pregen (I would also allow the halfing or elf rogues that enworld mocked up a while back if you can find them) which leaves us with about 13 characters i believe

(5 module, 6 dndxp , Extra Module Character, Halfling or Elf Rogue from Enworld)

The Game itself would be in either eberron or the implied setting, and would focus on the short term (most likely a dungeon and town) until the books are recieved.

if your interested post here. If you have some suggestions/want to snag a character sheet feel free.

Hey Everyone,

My former group having amicably dissolved with the end of our campeign and 3rd edition has went our separate ways, and thus I have come to try to put together a 4th edition group with the great people at Paizo! I'm looking for 3-5 players, between the ages of 20-35 thereabouts, who are enthusiastic about 4th edition, in the west toronto area ( I'm a small walk or a shorter bus ride from a TTC subway station) .

The Game Won't be starting for a couple of weeks, but I would like to meet players before that if possible. If your interested give me a shout out at my email mackay(dot)joshua(at)gmail(dot)com

thanks for your interest, if you have any questions please feel free to post here or email.

Hey Everyone,

Am looking for a smallish squad to run either Dogs in the Vineyard or Kills Puppies for Stan with, it would be PBP here at paizo with a post a weekday the expected frequency.

If your interested, please post, I'm not quite sure how the dice would work out (especially for dogs) but I'm sure it can be made to work (at worst logged invisible castle rolls and mucho tallying)

Open to suggestions and refinements.

Here is the discussion thread, where you may discuss my game

Bwahahaha

I hear the train a comin' /It's rollin' 'round the bend,
And I ain't seen the sunshine,/ Since, I don't know when,
I'm stuck here in Redemption,/ And time keeps draggin' on,
But that train keeps a-rollin',Threw Desolation.

When I was just a baby,/My Mama told me, "Son,
Always be a good boy,/Don't ever play with guns,"
But I shot a man in Reno,/Just to watch him die,
When I hear that whistle blowin',/I hang my head and cry.

I bet there's rich folks eatin',/In a fancy dining car,
They're probably drinkin' coffee,/And smokin' big cigars,
But I know I had it comin',/I know I can't be free,
But those people keep a-movin',/And that's what tortures me.

Well, if they freed me from Redemption,/If that railroad train was mine,
I bet I'd move out over a little,/Farther down the line,
Far from Redemption,That's where I want to stay,
And I'd let that lonesome whistle,/Blow my Blues away.

~Unknown Song by Jonias Cash third Bard of the Founding Empire

The sluggish pull of the train awakens you all, you find yourself awake, dry, comfortable in a bed. You look out the window to see a desolate desert winding its way past you. A tree with a vulture looks forlornly at you as the train whistle blows.

You are in a small room, with white sheets. Bunks on either side of the room house three other people. A door with shiny brassy knobs gleams temptingly. You are naked except for small clothes, and ....

Your lifesaver, That one item you wouldn't be found without. An item that is so intimate to you that it apparently went with you, whereever you are. You tense and then relax, a prevading sense of peace overcomes you or is that despair?

The Door opens for a minute before a gnome pushes a large cart full of every concievable kind of food in the door. Winking at you all he darts back into the hallway and fetches a set of handsome cloths in the style of where you grew up. The gnome himself has long dark hair and is covered in silk shawls and scarfs. Bowing lowly to you, he says

"Please Master's Eat, Enough Time for Questions Later"

He seems to have been expecting you...

Hey everyone,

My name is logos, and I am bored.

So please lets help each other overcome the doldrums ;-)

I am interested in running a Omni setting Afterlife style game in DnD3.5, set in my own home brewed City of Redemption, Megapolis of Churches, and the horrid affairs within.

If you are interested, please post. I am looking for both players who can post once a day (within reason) and people that I'm not currently Dming for (that means you shadows of sharn people).

I'm looking forward to meeting some new personalities and persona and playing a game of hopefully crazy proportions.

I am currently running Logos's Shadows of Sharn, and this game will be much more lighthearted, and as well vanilla.

System: Vanilla DnD 3.5 (The D20srd will be the final arbitor of questions, however we all know thats an illusion as i control the Dc's and modifiers and results). No houserules.

Setting: Omnisetting, Characters from all settings are accepted, However due to the higher starting level, I request characters that died in other games. Allowed Books = Core 3 + One 3.5 Campeign Setting (if someone wanted to pick a country from the Rpg superstar I wouldn't cry but no particular favours will be forthcoming)

Character Creation: Please Create ECL 6 Characters,No undead. (I'm willing to accept most cohort level adjustments as is, Ie Blink Dogs = Lvladjustment 2)

Items: Please Pick out the 10,000 gp of interesting kit as well as a single signature item of no particular price limit[/b]. This signature item cannot be used by other characters, but the other kit will be rewarded randomly. You'll be getting your kit relatively quickly.

For Characters from weird setting's (Spelljammer, Ravenloft and Darksun I'm looking at you) Darksun Character will use the 3.5 conversion found in Dungeons and Dragon magazine at the appropriate level adjustment. Spelljammer shouldn't be a problem, but this adventure will be planet bound ( No Phlogestorin for you!)so plan accordingly, Ravenloft characters are fine but your asking for more of the same. If your campaign setting has some strange abilities that don't take into account a LA, let me know and we'll work something out.

The games gonna be a little surreal, but its a fantasy game so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

If people were really interested in a adventure path that wouldn't completely crash with my sensibilities feel free to suggest, I have the rise of the rune lords but i haven't really thought how homebrew and it would mesh. That said I plan on being Land and Plane bound If you go to other planes and campeign settings it will be on the Dm's whim.

If your interested in what i run a game like check out Logos's Shadows of Sharn but keep in mind i intend for this game to be a whole lot more lighthearted and vanilla.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Hey ALl,

I was just wondering if their was any indie game love here at paizo, and more so if anyone would be initerested in a Dogs in the vineyard play by post here.

Probably very default, I'm looking for something loose and fun to run and I thought I'd see if DitV was up anyone's alley.

If everyone was on board a jedi hack from lumpley games or somethign might be used.

Happy New Years everyone

Logos

Hey Everybody,

I've been running a sort of dark/morbid Sharn set in an alternate Eberron Timeline where the mourning didn't stop. We started with 6 players and are now down to 4 from drop outs. We're looking for fresh meat and fresh ideas.

If your looking for a fairly fast posting Play by Post that is not an adventure path or published module

and

Are interested in something a little more creepy/spooky/interesting than your standard DnD

and

Can post on average once a Day

Please Take a Look at the IC and OOC threads (if your curious about somethhing you can post here or in the ooc)

which you can find:

ooc: The OOC Thead

Ic:
IC here

Thank you for your consideration!

Logos

edit: Character creation will be handled on a case by case basis, no point buy and low level (Althought the game is meant to go quickly up higher, and I like the levels)

Hey Everyone

In my Grand Fashion of Procrastination, I am starting a new online Pbp here at Paizo making strong use of the RPG superstar material in order to attempt to create a cohesive whole. This is a recruiting thread for 6 or less players in a paizoian DND 3.5 play by post.

The World:Homebrew/RpgSuperstar.

The Countries: Ghost Hound Plains,Terram,Yithnai, Zavaten Gurav unsecified goblin country.

What does the world look like

Spoiler:
Whats this kind of crazy world look like Logos.

Imagine the mediteranian, now take greece and replace it with terram. Where Gaul would be is the Ghost Hound Plains and Lands, to the north-east (and extending down into the Balkans) is the Dread Lands of Gura and between of of these nations are the black woods, home to goblin and monster alike. Across the dark reaches of the southern sea lies the lands of Yithnai, once the birthplace of all mankind and now home to dark sorcerery and terrible rites.

Guidelines for players, Be able to post once a day and enthusiastic. Also, as this is a homebrew with a fair amount of houserules, being charitable to the DM is a requirement, if you think what I am suggesting is horribly broken and still want to play by all means make suggestions.

Play will start in Terram, and would eventually include all the nations depending on play of course.

Books: Core III, with the following modifications. Level 1, please take a starter kit.

Spoiler:

All the demi-humans (Including Half Races), come from the lands surrounding Terram. Gnomes and Halflings tending from the ghost hound plains, elfs and orcs from the black forests and Dwarves from Gura, with goblins being spready out in all three nations. In addition Blink Dogs are a playable race (with a break down ala savage species below.)

New Feat: Exceptional ( Disregard some bit of the established fluff, such as Demi humans not being from Terram, etc) Choose a new skill to become class.

The Following Rules, Races, and Classes Change.

Halflings No Shoes but increase Move Silently bonus to +4 Speed 30
HalfOrcs: +1 NA, Trapsense +1

Cyprus and Yith effectively form a Dualistic Pair, and while other philosophies are occassionally followed it is always within the context of the pair
Cyprus Domains: Law, Knowledge, Protection, and War
Yith Domains: Evil, Knowledge, Magic Healing

Dwarvish Lands(Gura);
The only god dwarfs pay the eternal watching, and waiting maw of the earth, that will unexpectedly kill you.
Dwarf Domains: Earth, Destruction, Protection
The Cult of the Smith: Destuction, Death, Chaos

The Ghost Hound Plains.
No organized religion rule these parts, but the practices of ancestor and nature worship go back many generations
GhostHound Plains: Plant, Sun, Healing, Good

Black forest:
The Savage Feral Battles that come here reward strength and expertise, People from this region pray to the Great Bear keeper of the memories of ancestors in hopes that he will bless them in battle. Some Fools prey to the trickster god the fire fox, who leads people astray in the dark dark woods with his lights and tricks.

Great Bear: Animal, Strength, Water,
Fire Fox: Fire, Travel, Trickery

Priests of Philosophy exist, but even they must achieve their powers from the gods. A priest of philosophy must still chooose a god and one domain from the gods list but may freely choose the other domain.

Druids and Rangers: Must worship either the great bear, the fire fox, another animal spirit, or their ancestors.

Anyone who wants to play a different race should give a shout, I enjoy gobbos but other than that will probably not allow anything crazy in .

I look forward to your interest.

The White Stone of the Bridges looked Dull under the grey light of the Sharn Sky. Occasionally a glimmer of sunlight would sift thru, probably going to someone more deserving of it than you. The Host doesn't want you for a sunbeam, but if your lucky whoever hired out "The Oaks", Will. You chuckle softly to yourself thinking of every piss poor and stinking adventurer mucking up what used to be one of the best restaurants in Sharn. Stepping off the dull white streets, the sunlight fading as you do, you let yourself into the door with the neat sign that says "Able Men and Women Wanted for Precipitous Tasks involving the Security of Sharn"

The Dim Light does little to hide the grandeur of the place. A huge central Pillared room, filled with horribly out of place common wooden Chairs and Tables. This place was Looted Horribly during the Riots and when the owner was found hanging in her bedroom the city took over the property.Whoever rented this place had a pretty penny to spend.

A few men rattled dice and played cards in secluded corners, The Grim of their shoes clashing with the fine quality of stone and cut of the floor. Occassional a name is yelled, names like "Thurpt , Rupert" common names. The Stink of Disperation hang low in the air, like a dog waiting to bite. Food was scarce and cost money, and all the rooftop guardens in the world wouldn't change the fact that sharn had lost its breadbasket in the mourning.

Quickly, a Clean if plain looking servent shows up, taking your name and offering you two chits , gesturing to a crudely set up bar, where many people were being helped to what looked like watered down ale. Settling down you see a wide varity of people as they look at you sizing you up.

[Character Descriptions, and anything you'd like to say]

Things that are important to your backstory:

What did you do after the mourning, this is an World Shaking Event, and needs to be addressed. " I hid" is an acceptable answer.

what did you do during the last war. The Last war is somewhat WWI or II in scale. You have lived in the last war for every moment up to the mourning, and needs to be addressed. " I dodged the draft" is an acceptable answer.

Statment of Intent; Essentially Character's Life Goal at the Moment. Should be a Very Hard to Achieve, Once only thing. " I want to redeem myself in the eyes of my father" is an acceptable answer.

Statement of Refresh; Essentiall what gives your character a kick out of life. Should be hard to achieve, but repeatable. " I Fought the Law " or "The Law Won" are both acceptable

Hey Everyone,

I am trying to start a new Eberron Play by Post, probably using something Paizo converted to eberron ( AP or others). I'm looking for a group of 3-6 People who are willing to post several times a week ( Ideally once per day, but within circumstance).

I really enjoy running games, and where I am currently its not possible, So I thought I'd give it a go here.

The Basic Details

Hosted Here

Eberron DnD 3.5 (Fully Erratta'd and such)

Play starting at level 1

Probably looking for "Social" parties, as apposed to anti social, although if 3-6 people wanted to run in an evil game in Eberron I'd also enjoy that, but only if everyone agrees.

I enjoy long walks on the beach, really interesting and exciting games, and I'd be using this as a means of working on my presentation and action set up. I also enjoy character advancement, mechanically and character wise.

If your Interrested Please Post Away,

Thank you for your time.

Hey All, I was making some Zany Assassin's to populate a Dungeon set in Eberron and was thinking What's going to increase the Zany Factor? OOTS !

Looking for Zany Assassin Idea's, I like rule bending but keep in mind for a group of 10th level characters ( So Cr 6 ->15)
I know among the first Assassin's will be the gelatinous cube Assassin ( COmplete with Bandeta). So here's what i want ( Lot's of weird things that qualify for one level of assassin. (THis is surposed to be the world's worst assassin guild ever), Rule Bending is Okay but in the range of 6-15 Cr (Ie no Tarrasque Assassin's)

So Help a Gm out Gimme some Assassin's

Of course the Joy is that the best assassin sent them here as parrt of his assassination ploy that involves them defeating a "Theives Guild" and getting a Magic Item from the rear of the Guild Dungeon ( Which will promptly kill everyone in the dungeon , ala Collapsing Roofs)

Hello All,

Was looking for some help, been recently reading hearing about Call of Cthulhu (long time fan) and decided to import the Cthulhu Sensibilities into my eberron Game for a session.

So far i want the PC's to go on a Crrazy Nightmare Exploration/Investigation threw sharn, Get involved with Psionic Stuff (quuori, kalyshtar, mind flayers , House Dennith mind seeds etc) as well as some lost souls ( a Gnomish Batman/ V Rippoff who disappeared 100 years ago after warning about "Those Damn Riedians" , The 63rd Kalystar Spirit, A recently Deceased Pet who hopefully the party will have the brains to bring back to material and thus reinstate him, A vampiric Coutyl etc)

That said, I know the real art in Cthulhu/Love Craft is not the characters or even the villias so much as the scene and the tone and that's what im ask ing for help with. How do i get my players to
