Lnejee Stazi sleeps restlessly through the night. Being in the same room with a bunch of strangers has him on edge. In the morning he's a bit groggy, quickly moving to the bar for the hair of the sarlac that bit him. When he sees the young Jedi Elek leave the bar he follows suit. A kid like that, even a Padawan shouldn't be off on his own. When the leather clad twi'lek speaks to him the Duros steps up at his side, but remains silent.

"I am a fairly skilled pilot. Enough so that I will not crash into the first tree I pass. That would be something for another time though when there are not pressing concerns of banditry," says Lnejee. He stands to his feet and returns to his bar stool. "Something to eat, please. Cantina special if it is fresh." The duros turns his back to the bar and speaks to the Jedi again, "I will consider you my employers and defer to your lead. I regret I am no investigator."

Force Push: Ur doin' it rite. "I have spent most of my time honing my reflexes, too get in the first shot. The Kobok are rather fond of swoop bike racing and it became a favorite hobby of mine. So I am no stranger to quick reaction times and piloting. I also spent much time studying under a Kobok warshaman in the ways of tactics," elaborates Lnejee.

After accepting the drinks Lnejee knocks one back. "I am sorry for the outburst. Comments about the colour of my skin are not taken lightly. Imagine Sho Larn if you lived your whole life as the only turquoise Kel Dor. While the majority of racism is dead in our galaxy it is still ok to make the unique and unusual individual." He drinks the second shot, grimacing. "As I am not very good at defending myself with words, I learned to use a blaster."

Lnejee glares back, "Old man, that was not an order. It was a threat. I've trained for years to back it up. My profession just happens to coincide with shooting people." The white duros walks back to his chair and rights it with an armored foot. "I'll make the name Lnejee Stazi known in the galaxy. So no one will push me a second time only to be shot."

Through gritted teeth the Duros utters, "I give people one chance. Use that or any other slang for the color of my skin again and I'll burn a hole through your skull." The slight shake of Stazi's hand shows he's already holding the trigger down. if the gun wasn't on safety he would have shot already. Slowly he lowers the weapon and snaps at the bartender, "Like the Kel Dor suggested already. Keep your mouth shut."

Lnejee thinks to himself about how that might actually affect the Jedi's mission.

"I've heard that Jedi-pups are helpless without their Masters nearby. If you've got the credits, I'll try and keep you free of holes." The Duros finishes his drink and slaps down a few more creds for another. "Dangerous men acting in a dangerous manner could be up to anything. If it looks like an asteroid, spins like an asteroid, there's probably an exogorth inside it."

"Fell off the transport when it touched down. One of the passengers caught an overdose of vibroblade and it seemed contagious. Now this rock seems dead and I only have a handful of creds to get me by. Hear of any work around?" Lnejee explains and inquiries. He pulls back the hood of his cloak and sips at the potent drink.

Lnejee Stazi had been in town for a week so far. During that time not a single job had cropped up. He was keeping an eye on the Holonet for any local bounties or jobs a hired gun might find. The Chipper Kinrath was as good a place as any to look. The mercenarie's last job had involved a passenger on a transport. The ship had made a short stop at Dantooine and it proved a good spot to depart. Lnejee was sure it was just a matter of time before something or someone interesting showed up. "Bartender, lemee get a Starshine Surprise on ice," the Duros orders from his seat at the bar. "You guys ever have any music here?" |
