The Pariah When you heard that the adventurers who had recovered the lost shards of the Sihedron were members of the Pathfinder Society, you decided that you were going to join up as well and become a famous explorer. Then calamity struck Magnimar, and the Society was blamed for the death and destruction which followed in the wake of the reconstruction of the Sihedron. The heroes themselves, especially the mighty Sorshen, escaped blame for the disaster, but Venture-captain Heidmarch was not so lucky, and much of the rest of the Society has fallen into disgrace. You hope to reverse the Society's fortunes and remind the people of Magnimar and indeed all of Varisia that the Pathfinder Society can be a powerful force for good in the dark times of the Age of Lost Omens. Benefit: You gain a +1 trait bonus on all Perception and Survival checks and one of these skills is a class skill for you. If you can pen a story worthy of being submitted to the Pathfinder Chronicles, you will be awarded your very own Wayfinder.

Lissa's Story
--------------------
Lissa was born a family of house slaves in Egorian. From a young age, she chafed at the diabolical strictures of Cheliax and lost herself in daydreams of the halfling goddess Chaldira Zuzaristan and her exploits with Desna. Lissa dreamed of becoming a similar guardian of the halfling people.
When she came of age, Lissa was moved to a different household. Unfortunately, the Arvanxi family was even more given to devil worship and Lissa despaired of ever getting out of the hellish environment. Two things made a difference. One of the scions of the Arvanxi family had taken a passing interest in the Pathfinder Society before it was banned in Cheliax. His library contained an extensive collection of the Pathfinder Chronicles. Surely no other library in Egorian required as much cleaning. Lissa secreted herself away and read the Chronicles from front to back and back to front, adding to her dreams of a life beyond that of a slave. Second, the Chronicles led her to a learn of the Bellflower Network, an anti-slavery organization that spirited slaves out of Cheliax and other horrible situations.
Lissa swore she would not only get herself out, but would do whatever she could to improve the situation for fellow halfings. She was very careful, but sought word of the Bellflower Network and at the age of 18, found herself headed north to Magnimar. In Magnimar, she caught a break that she thought was surely Chaldira Zuzaristan's hand on her life. Venture Captain Sheila Heidmarch was establishing a lodge in Magnimar and Pathfinders from all over the world were converging on the city. With all of the chaos, Sheila needed help and Lissa was quick to offer to help run the Lodge.
Everything was going so well until Xin arrived. In a small span, all of Lissa's dreams were shattered. Her hero became a goat and her dreams of working through the society on behalf of all halflings was dashed. But this time, her patron's hand might really be on her shoulder. She remembered all of the marvelous tales of Chaldira's exploits, Desna's faith in her friend, and that everything turned out good in the end. She steeled herself to be a force for all of the good that the Society represented and to work through it to help halfings everywhere.
