Weapon Familiarity: Dwarves are proficient with battleaxes, heavy picks, and warhammers, and treat any weapon with the word “dwarven” in its name as a martial weapon.

Background:

Lira lived in a small forest community with her parents in the forests surrounding the Mindspin Mountains. Unlike most dwarves, her family lived in a simple wooden lodge, and her father taught her how to hunt in the surrounding woods with a bow and axe.

During one such outing, a band of giants came down from the mountains and raided the village. Upon hearing the commotion as they were returning, Lira’s father turned to her and instructed her to head to the dwarven settlement of Janderhoff. Lira’s father handed her his dwarven waraxe and rushed off to the village, brandishing his family’s greataxe into battle. Lira, at first reluctant to leave, finally pulled herself away from the image of her father rushing off and she herself made her way to Janderhoff. That was the last day Lira would see her parents.

On her journey she encountered a dwarven caravan on its way to Janderhoff and after sharing the tale of her circumstance they took her in and helped raise her. Since then, she has sworn vengeance against giants and trained in the myriad tactics to combat them.
Recently, while Lira was exploring the woods around Janderhoff, she encountered and befriended a strange wolf with a bluish tinge to its fur. She realized then that this was no ordinary wolf, perhaps even a primal example of its kind. She named this wolf Kára.

Lira is a relatively young female dwarf with long auburn hair and gray eyes. She keeps her hair in a ponytail with braided bangs framing her soft face. Being somewhat tall for a dwarf combined with her physique often get her confused as a rather short human. She can always be seen with her father’s dwarven waraxe and her trusty bow.

Demeanor
Lira tends have a very stoic personality. The loss of her family has left an emotional scar on her. She despises giants and their kin with all her heart and will stop at little-to-nothing to defeat any she encounters, often heedless of her own safety.

Character Concept
Lira is an outdoorsy dwarf, which is uncommon for her kind. She prefers the wilds of nature over the stuffy caves of the underground.

Love and Hate
Lira has deep love for those she considers her family. Since her family was killed, this sentiment now encompasses her wolf companion, Kára, and the only memento she has from her father, the waraxe he gave her.

Another thing that Lira loves are thunderstorms and the raw force of the lightning they generate. She feels a strange connection to the elemental power that lighting possesses. She also feels a kindred spirit in Kára, believing that the wolf has the same connection.

Lira despises giants and has trained herself in hunting them. She hopes to someday find the giants who killed her family and reclaim her father’s greataxe, which had been handed down through the generations and was stolen by the giants who slaughtered her settlement.

Another thing that Lira hates is being alone. She was raised in a small, tight-knit community that she considered her extended family and was devastated when she lost it all to the giant raid. She thought she would forever be alone until she came across Kára. She dreads ever losing her new family.

Future Plans:

I plan on multiclassing Lira between hunter and fighter. She’s using the Primal Companion archetype for hunter and will possibly use the Archer archetype for the fighter. She prefers to use her bow in combat, while her wolf companion distracts enemies. Once her hunter level reaches 5, her wolf companion will gain an electrical energy attack (2 pt. evolution).
When enemies get too close she will switch to her waraxe, and possibly get a greataxe or even a dwarven longaxe when she gets more money.
