About Lina the Unbroken
Grant me the serenity... to master kung-fu, and then punch people in the face.
Updated Description:
Tall, muscular, and gruff, Länsgeneral Passgard is a woman of grim convictions. Her features are Nordic, and imposing. Her face, on closer examination, is crisscrossed with a dozen fine scars, and two larger red ones in the shape of teardrops hang from each eye. Her hair is dark brown, with traces of faded color; she keeps it cropped short enough to stay out of her eyes in dangerous situations. When in places of both safety and formality, she wears an old, dark blue police uniform, complete with a tie; but her combat robes are black and gold silk, swirling with celestial patterns. She moves gracefully without slouching, despite the strange weapons strapped to her back—but there is a sense of tension about her, as if she might need to slam someone through a wall on a moment's notice.
Outside her monastery streams a red and black banner, which depicts a horse leaping over a field of swords. In some ways, meditation has helped her find peace from her past... but the dangers of this new world have changed her, and she has little patience for anything that might endanger her or her allies.
In battle, she wears a magnificently-carved stag mask of wrought bronze, fighting primarily a recurved longbow, a strange Eastern polearm, and her own feet, though the pockets of her robes are stuffed with throwing stars, twine, nunchucks and bullets.

Lina was born in Sweden, and spent her early childhood with her parents in a house deep in the forests near the Finnish border. They lived an hours drive from the nearest town, Kiruna, where her parents worked in the town clinic. When Lina was seven, they moved to Malmö. The experience had her shell-shocked, used as she was to playing by the lake, alone with the trees and their house. While not an enormous city, it certainly seemed humongous at the time. It was right about that time that her younger sister, Karina, was born.
In her early teens, Lina developed a passion for horseback riding and athlethics. In her late teens, she turned to heavy lifting, something she's been keeping up, developing a rather impressive physique. At this point, you name a sport or a strain of athletics, Lina's probably practiced it for at least a month.
Qualifying with flying colors, Lina entered medical school. She kept up her studies there for a little more than two years. At that point, her mother died of cancer, and Lina realized that med-school wasn't her project, but her parents'. The ensuing argument with her farther has left them estranged.
She dropped out, and started at police school in Stockholm, much to the surprise of her friends. After a few years of education she got a job as an officer, working mostly horseback patrols in Stockholm city.
She tried dating a few times, but her relationships invariably turned into arm-wrestling matches, after which they broke apart. By now, she's sworn off serious relationships.
Half a year ago, Lina went on a weekend trip to Berlin with Karina. They hadn't seen much of each other seems their mother died, but they turned out to have a great time together.
Sunday afternoon, however, the bus they were taking was captured by right-wing extremists who, in order to demonstrate their opinion about the European situation held hostage the bus full of tourists for 29 excruciating hours.
Lina spent these in 'cop mode' remaining calm and collected throughout the ordeal, and seemed perfectly fine immediately afterwards, unlike Karina, who went into hysterics.
Coming home, however, Lina didn't feel so fine. She could deal while she was on duty, but in her off hours, Stockholm seemed a new and threatening city. She felt that she was waiting for the other shoe would come crashing down, seeing a potential terrorist in every stranger she passed.
She quickly started bringing her service sidearm home, and while she's aware that it is strictly forbidden, and that she could lose her job over it, the weight of the SIG Sauer in her handbag helps her deal.
Her life seems all grim and bleak, huh? She feels that way too, at times. There are high points too, though. Training, for one. There are few things as rewarding as a good workout. Then there's her friends from med school, who're all starting out as doctors by now, Anna, Alexandra and Lotta, whom she sees almost every friday night. The there's Karl, her standing booty-call. They tried dating once, but it quickly fell apart. They settled for being friends with benefits instead.
At this point, though, she's pretty resigned to never seeing them again.

The first fan is made of Shadow Steel, this black light absorbing steel has the same hardness and HP as regular steel, but doubles the critical threat range against good creatures. If the wielder already has an ability that doubles the threat range, the metal instead adds 1 to the multiplier. If Darkness (or any other spell related to darkness) is cast on the weapon, it has twice the area and duration as normal.
The second one is made of Shimmer Steel, this shiny white steel naturally emits light and has the same hardness and HP as regular steel, but doubles the critical threat range against good creatures.
