I am also curious about this. The old MM was clear that it would block natural and magical healing, but indicated how various neutralize/delay poison spells would allow for magical healing. It also did not mention anything about a caster level check.

However, a strict RAW translation does seem to indicate that although magical healing would be hampered, natural healing would take place.

Printing follow-up:

Uninstalling Reader X and installing Reader 9.5 solved the printing problem for this file. This is the first file that would not print in Reader X for me - so I still think there is something different about this pdf file.

Thanks for the advice Joana.

I also had an issue printing with Reader X. I tried re-installing Reader X, repairing the program, and updating my printer driver, but still could not print.

I did go back and print out several other pdf's I have downloaded from Paizo, but none of those had this problem.

After a little bit more experimentation, I did isolate the issue down to the first page (cover). The rest of the pages would print without problem. I managed to print to the cover by selecting the Print=>Advanced=>Print As Image option.

Thanks for the quick reply. I realize it was a minor question.... still it was irritating me not knowing.

I recently purchased the Pathfinder Core Rulebook and noticed the mass cure spells listed Maximum additions of over 20 when referencing the caster level. After searching the forums for a few hours, I could not find any thread that addressed this. Therefore, here is my first post to the forums:

The Cure Critical Wounds, Mass spell indicates that it cures 4d8 points of damage +1 per caster level (maximum +40) for up to one target per caster level. Assuming that epic level play is not involved, the maximum of +40 seems to be moot. Am I missing something?

Am I correct in assuming that a level 20 Cleric would cure 4d8 +20 points per target?

Or does it mean that the level 20 Cleric would cure 4d8 to each target, with additional points of up to 20 per target, but the additional points spread among all targets can not exceed 40?
