About Leto AnguisLeto Anguis at first glance is a thin young man with jet black hair. But his skin may be the palest you have ever seen. He looks as though he has not seen the sun in years. He is less of a young man than he is an old boy, for he has not truly left his adolescence yet. His body, which at first appears to be only thin, is clearly emaciated upon further examination. A fact that is made more obvious by the clothing he wears. Leto is dressed in tight fitting pure black clothing. It covers every inch of his body apart from his head. Even his hands cannot be seen as they are within black leather gloves. If one were to observe him for long, they would quickly notice that his face never cracks a smile and that he keeps a distance from everyone around him, becoming obviously uncomfortable if anyone gets too close to him. Ten Minute Backstory Goals: Leto’s: · Discover the origins of his powers. Only after learning this can he decide if he should end his existence. · To discover who his father and mother are. · To learn why he was given away/to find out if he was given away for being a monster · Find out what he is. · To find some way to make up for killing little Eliza. My Own: · To have him grow up and learn to connect with people after so long distant from them. · To be able to move on from the past, accept it, but to move on from it. · To decide that his is not a monster and to grow into someone who does not want to kill himself. · I would like for him to transition eventually from chaotic neutral to chaotic good. So his story would be the one of a boy becoming both a man and a hero. Secrets: From Leto: -The brand that was given to Leto, while his parents believed it to be a ward against evil, in reality it is a different piece of iconography altogether. -He is the bastard son of a nobleman and a prostitute. The nobleman banished the prostitute from the city after she came to him demanding money for the child. -Does not know what happened to his mother. From Others:

Backstory:
Silvia and Edward Kellnin were terrified when they saw their son. For his fangs were still extended and his eyes were the slits of a serpent. His parents were convinced that he was secretly a monster, and were doubly convinced when they followed him to the dead form of Eliza. To the credit of his parents they did not throw him out immediately. They attempted to save him. Unfortunately they did it in perhaps the most brutal manner possible. They resorted to the most basic form of magic. That of blood. They chained their young son despite his protestations. Then Edward Kellnin went to a small forge he kept to make things in town and shaped a symbol that was supposed to purge monsters and ward them away. He made this into a brand. This brand was then used on Leto’s chest and other brands were used on his arms and legs in an attempt to complete the makeshift ritual. It was very clear that it did not work because no matter what they did he would not be purified and his face would keep turning back into that of a monster. Eventually they stopped and considered what to do as a result of this killing. Leto at his point ran into the only spot of luck he had that day. The bracket that the chains had been attached to had become rusted over the years and his writhing in pain had weakened it further. Leto worked away at the rusted bracket until it broke. Thankfully the key to his chains had been left on its key at the other end of the room and he was able to unlock himself. At this point he ran to the next town where he met Alaric Zimmel who nursed him back to health and protected him from the Silfen family. After he had somewhat recovered he left Alaric to keep him safe and set out on his own. He walked a long ways before he stopped. It was then that he really considered everything and wondered it was true that he was really a monster. It was at this time that he almost decided to commit suicide. But the decided that he had questions and he needed to know the answers before he killed himself. He had to know what he was and why and that he couldn’t kill himself until he had the answers and decided how he felt about them. He began to travel the countryside gathering more information about ancient serpent civilizations that had been rumored. As he did this he traveled around the countryside helping people along the way. He never truly stopped running after he left home he isn’t sure he will until he dies. |
